Greatness with few bugs !! - General Paranoid Android Discussion

I have just flashed this ROM into my oneplus 2, I absolutely love it. There are a few minor bugs though which can be fixed easily.
1. Battery drain because of screen goes up to 30%
2. While watching videos in phone or online the videos have a loop where the same things plays again and again for 2 sec and audio just continues to play with the video loop
3. Minor bugs in Floating peek when trying to activate it through recent tab.
4. After the boot animation goes to AOSPA there is small gap like 10 seconds for the home screen to show up.
5. Unable to change the wallpaper in lock screen, I tried everything and it doesn't help.
6. I don't know if there is a slow motion camera feature.
Please fix the above issues and this would the best ROM for the oneplus 2, though I consider this as the best even now !!
Thanks and Regards,
Adithya PS

[Q] Phone behaving weird !

ok i don't wont to bore you with details but heres list of stuff that (almost)suddenly happened to my nexus 4 !
1.MX Player lags a little and many videos won't work with H/W anymore ! make weird noise or quit instantly !
2.my phone sometimes gets so hot on full brightness , it didn't use too!
3.my phone lags ! it used to be buttery smooth
4.camera stops working on all of apps and requires rebooting ! (sometimes phone reboots on instagram) my camera also makes weird click noise ! mostly when i open camera ! (my ears are also sensitive to sound but i never heard it before !)
5.my volume down sometimes doesn't work !
6. Google chrome weird graphic glitches ! mostly when showing all tabs !
7. i don't know if its still like that but when i wasn't home google chrome made horrible weird lag when scrolling !
8. i guess battery life is a little bit shorter !
9.when i connected a low amp charger to my phone it suddenly got super-slow so i disconnected it instantly, its not lagging anymore (i mean the lag that it took my phone 5 seconds to react to my touch ! the lag i mentioned before is not that huge!)
also i see shade of chrome bar and some other stuff
i took screenshot and there's no shade on screenshot
Bump ;( i don't want to sell it like that to someone!
Re: Phone behaving weird !
What Android OS are you using that is causing all these problems? Did you do anything new to your Nexus before these problems happened?

Issues after getting updated to latest Android 7.0 Nougat on MOTO G4 Plus XT1643

A week after using Motorola G4 Plus I find many things which I'm going to share below here .
List of Bugs which really bad:
1. Can’t get good network signal and connectivity.
2. Can’t detect sim sometime 2nd slot one.
3. Battery draining rapidly unlikely previous marshmallow was better.
4. Charging takes a little bit more time.
5. Ghost touches ( Screen issues while charging via Turbo Charger or Connecting USB cable on PC/Laptop)
6. Game apps crashing and heating ( Mortal Kombat XL , Asphalt game etc)
7. While taking videos the output looks over saturated.
8. GPS sensor working slow while using Google Maps.
9. Camera focusing is a bit slow.
Here I'm going to tell you what Motorola need to improve in future updates along with fixing the bugs:
1. Restart/reboot option in power off menu.
2. Gallery app for photos/videos.
3. Video Calling option in Dialing pad.
4. Double tap to wake up.
5. Reducing icon size.
And a lot . Love Moto <3
I'm not facing any of this issues, in my case only the low notification sound bug it's present, which it's driving me insane.....

I may be wrong, but my hypothesis is that your battery might be bad and most of the symptoms you see are enhanced on Nougat now. Your battery drain, ghost touch and game crashing are the same symptoms my son had on his Moto G4. We RMAed the phone and got it back without a problem. I believe they exchanged the battery and fixed the connection problem (ghost touch).
cheers

If so , please lemme know if there's a tweak or a fix to it , or something.

try factory reset.

All games lag after a few minutes, app switcher fixes lag temporarily

So I don't know when this started happening but almost every single game on my Galaxy S7 lags after about a minute of playing, like the frame rate will get cut down from 60fps to a choppy 30-50fps, and stay that way unless I exit to the home screen and back into the game or press the app switcher button for a second and go back into the game, then it jumps back to 60fps for a little bit and the lag goes away but it always comes back.
I have no idea what's causing this problem and I'm tempted to factory reset my phone to see if that fixes it because I've tried almost everything (disable game launcher and tools, disable the packages, game mode, high performance mode, delete cache, rebooting, etc.)
Does anyone else have this problem and could it be a certain app using resources in the background that's causing lag? I'm on the stock rom from at&t, no root and no bootloader unlocked, everything is pretty much vanilla.
Finally after months of trying to figure this out, I fixed it by pure luck.
Every Galaxy S7 user should do the following:
1. Download Game Tuner
2. Create a custom profile
3. Set FPS to 60
NOW ON TO THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP!
4. Set HW Performance to +4
HW Performance affects the stupid throttling that games seem to do that prevents smooth 60fps in an effort to preserve battery life and keep heat down I'm guessing. Setting it to +4 fixed all the lag I was getting in every single game.

Upgraded to STABLE Android 12 One UI 4? How's it going?

I'm curious to know from those who updated/flashed to the STABLE (NOT BETA, please!), how is your phone working so far? Do you have any issues? Were the issues from the BETA resolved?
Format: (So that it's easier for people to associate with their device)

Hopefully carriers will start pushing the Android 12/One UI 4 update for the Note 20/Ultra OTA this upcoming week. The S21 on VZW pushed it OTA the same day as the European roll out, so maybe its not too far behind for US carrier branded Note models.
-Exynos
-Unbranded
-Flashed with Odin (Switzerland firmware)
-No issues detected
I generally like the new animations, the new popup PiP design (rounded corner and possibility of resizing the window), battery life seems to be as good as before. The possiiblity of making AoD turn on when receiving a notification is nice and resembles the old Motorola active display feature. New Pro Mode layour for camera is better. I also enjoy the integration of the same animation for loading screen system wide, it's a nice touch even though I think the animation itself could be better. The gesture system from Google (Swipe from sides and bottom) now is usable with a 3rd party launcher, though it's still a bit clunky.
The only thing I dislike is the brightness bar in the notification tray which is now "tall" all the time and takes more space.
I must say that I didn't notice any particular difference coming from the second Beta (for Exynos there were only 2 beta releases), the first one was a bit clunky but the second was already well cooked. As far as I've seen there are no new issues introduced with this release, the 2 I knew of that were introducd with Android 11 still stand: Samsung gestures (swipe from bottom, the 3 way one) don't work as smoothly as in Android 10 because the recents gesture is not interactive and triggers only on finger release, the "currently playing" notification in the tray sometimes resets (when you reboot for instance it appears showing the last thing you were listening to).
Overall I'm happy about the update, it's a minor one for sure but they succeeded in not screwing up.

Thank you for this, @Sprov!
How about on connectivity, WiFi, Cellular, 5G, WiFi Calling/VoLTE, don't you have any issues? Connecting to BT devices like Buds Pro or any audio devices, Google AUTO etc.?

Everything as smooth as always, now that I think about it I had to pair again the Buds Pro during the first Beta (it was working at the beginning though) because the media would play but there was no sound output. In my area there's no 5G to test. 4G and calls fine as before, WiFi, GPS all alright. I don't use Android Auto
I have two very annoying issues with One UI 4:

I guess the Swiss version won't work with BTU?

It works with BTU, in Odin use home_csc for retaining your data.
Clean install here and everything is smooth and I feel it have a better battery life then before..
Anyone got a ZIP file of the software ending in LF on android 12? The sammobile site is slow at downloading files from.
Model: N986U xfinity or comcast doesn't matter.

Hello ,
Exynos
Phone buy Samsung Shop web
Flash with Odin PC , Switzerland firmware
Just update , i became from beta 2 , i use home csc . I conserve all data
My phone is more smooth , more reactive . For battery , it's difficult to say it's more better . Good works .
Codec LDAC is functional since a few update , i like that with my Soundcore Life Q35 .
I like this update but it's not a big update .

Not sure about the high temperature, but I read in other forums that factory reset can't fix the laggy animations. I think for this we need to spam on Samsung Support. Also, I did heavy debloat with some PC app, and seems the battery life is drastically improved. I may share the result in a few days.

Does LDAC stick once it's enabled or do you have to keep enabling it? Do you also need to go into developer settings to activate it?
Sucks. On my Verizon it killed the top of the display; first row of icons. Posted a thread in Q&A.
My advice is: Don't!
Immediately used adb app control to kill updates.
Now what?
I'm still on beta three, I haven't had any issues with any of the releases myself 986U1 ATT
- Model: Exynos
- Branded
- Flashed
- Dirty flash for starters, then did a FULL reset?
- Issues: Lots of little ones, Bluetooth Buds continually disconnecting as well as Galaxy Watch 4, Alarm keeps turning off when hit snooze button instead of snoozing,Google Assistant does not always work with voice wake up, this is a problem when driving. Plus a couple of other small things I can't remember at the moment.
- What do you like, most things I like, Dislike that Android Auto for Phone screens no longer supported, have to use Assistant Driving Mode that does not work in landscape mode and is absolute rubbish.
I have now gone back to Android 11, till I see that these problems are fixed.
I did try the Beta version before the stable one, and that have most of these issues as well, so thought should have been fixed for stable release.

I have no (AS IN NONE) issues with the Stable A12. Everything is working as it should and the device is gr8!
- Exynos from Malaysia (XME)
- Unbranded
- Updated via OTA
- Dirty flash
- Issues: Whenever I use the notification panel it gets laggy, like it were set at 60hz
- What you like: I love it, it handles overheat better.

Those who updated to OOS Android 12 - Is it still bad?

See title. Thinking again about updating now that we have another update out in C11 (I believe this is the most recent).
Would you if you had to chance to stay on Android 11? Still very much on the fence.
I haven't had the time or energy to do a clean install, so maybe these issues wouldn't show up normally but here is my experience so far:
1. Forcing the hz to be always 120 is no longer as simple and must be reset every boot
2. Also custom dpi must be set every boot
3. Widgets sizes are all off, some too big and some too small.
4. Always on display is forced on, and almost always doesn't turn on for about 20 seconds when taken out of a pocket, forcing a press of the power button.
5. When always on display doesn't show the fingerprint icon (either configured or after a few seconds), fingerprint scanning won't activate
6. Aptx TWS+ simply doesn't work anymore. Defaults to notmal aptx or aptx hd
7. Reply in floating window doesn't function at all
8. Notifications that are unread but still in the drawer don't show up on the lockscreen
The new fingerprint animations are dope though
crDroid 8.4 is running really nice!
There a couple things I don't like. The new animations are good and a change of system sounds/ringtone is nice. The UI is mostly a sidegrade if not a downgrade in utility. I felt the same going from 10 to 11 and now 11 to 12. I guess I will just get used to it.
What I don't like is the horrendous navigation buttons. What idiot at OnePlus thought it would be a good idea to space out the nav buttons an inch apart? Makes reaching my thumb over (and I have big hands) a pain in the ass. It looks stupid as **** too. I had to switch to gesture navigation mode because of this. Also they added crap like shelf and the qualcomm voice thing/quick device connect which are annoying as I couldn't get rid of the notifications. I tried turning quick device connect off in settings and it wouldn't work. had to mute the notification.
Also in recents/multitasking when I hit close all apps it should close all apps but instead it goes back to the app I was using. This is annoying as I developed the habit of closing all apps and shutting of my phone in a clean slate.
I will do a follow up post of bugs as I encounter them
Thanks for the responses guys. It's shocking to me that widely released software has this many issues still. I may just stay on A11 then. I am eyeing the Pixel 7 in Sept/Oct and I'll leave OP behind at that point. It was a good run.
