First of all sorry about my english and im kinda new to this stuff. I got my sgh-i337 soft bricked, tried almost every tutorial ive find and everytime i got some kind of fail.
some stuff i tried:
downloaded I337UCUAMDL_I337ATTAMDL_ATT got fail at NAND write....
downloaded I337UCUAMDB_I337ATTAMDB_ATT got fail at NAND write....
almost every file i tried with odin i got or fail at nand, or status (7) in the phone, or E:signature verification failed
tried some steps using adb sideload and updating from cache also got or status 7 or signature error
tried diferent versions of Odin (note: windows 7 64bits, all versions of odin im using normally dont open, needed to put in compatibility mode vista SP2 or XP sp2)
tried different usb cables
tried OneClick.jar
unninstaled Kies
NO antivirus installed
Firewall disabled
the only step-by-step that seems to work is this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2573080
since im new to this stuff, can someone tell me what to do to fix it step by step?

If you have any issues or Odin does not see your device...
1. Try a different USB cable
2. Try a different USB port on your PC
3. Uninstall Kies. (Kies sometimes interferes with Odin)
4. Download the latest drivers from the Samsung website here. (Uninstall the existing drivers from your PC, reboot, and then install the new drivers.)
5. Try a newer version of Odin. @sway8966 has posted Odin v3.10.6 in this post.
already tried all of this, my guide is the post #2?
Yes. You should follow the steps in post 2.
Put the phone in download mode by using the physical key combination, connect to your PC and then try

Could you tell me the version of the bootloader or OS version of your phone before it went into softbrick?
If you do not know go to the recovery mode and it will tell you the version of software in the phone .
In the OP, I noticed that you tried to install the old firmwares (ADB, MDL). Are those firmware name showed up in your recovery mode?
To flash with Odin you need
1. Odin has to recognize your phone.
2. You have to have correct firmware .
If Odin does not recognize your phone you need to follow the steps 1 to 5 that you mentioned in this post.
If Odin recognize your phone then we need to figure out what firmware you need to flash the phone.
Sounds like Odin is failing to flash the firmware because the firmware is trying to install an older bootloader.
Boot into download to confirm the phone's model #. If it is an sgh-i337, the bootloader is probably locked.
Thanks guys
i found this solution in another post:
first i flashed recovery-mj6.tar using odin
then i flashed mf3-emergency-part-1.tar (it fails at end but says thats normal)
same with mf3-emergency-part-2.tar
after that i could boot my phone on recovery mode, so i tried to flash mk2 update using adb, but it failed.
so i tried flashing the all in one mk2 tar file via odion and worked fine!
my phone is back to life.
thank you very much guys.

Hey i got a Problem.
I tryed to install Android 4.1 second time on my device.
First time it ran perfekt but i had to remove it because gaps didn't work.
After i removed it i got a new Buildingnumber it changed from JVI to JW1 but there were no kernel to root my handy again.
So I tryed itt with my old rootkernel JVI.
But Odin stopped working and now my handy can't boot, the only thing that works is the downloadmode.
Every time i want to start it there is a telefon, a pc and a ! on middle of both.
And maybe it's important, i'm on Linux and i used a Windows virtuelle maschine to controll Kies and Odin.

That's called forced download mode. You need to flash a kernel with Odin. Pm me if you need the link for Odin. Search xda for a kernel. Also on a side note, for gapps you will have to flash it twice. Once will not be enough.

You can flash any ROM using odin as it will do the root for you. If you are a noob then try this link it has full detailed instructions and is a great starting point from which you can build on [flash over]

If you are having no luck with Odin, try using Heimdall.
1..Download Heimdall from www.glassechidna.com.au/products/heimdall/, preferably version 1.3.1 as 1.3.2 isn't quite as stable.
2. Download a firmware from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1196179. The link also contains a decent guide by Aorth on how to use the Heimdall frontend to load i9000 firmwares.
3. Before following the guide, install the correct drivers to use with heimdall by putting your phone into download mode, unpacking the heimdall application zip and running 'zadig', (found inside the drivers folder). Under options, remember to tick 'List all Devices' and untick 'Ignore hubs or composite parents'. Install either 'Samsung USB composite device' or 'Gadget serial'.
Good luck.:fingers-crossed:
now it worked.
The new firmware runned succesfull but now my handy is bricked without a reason omg...
Now i have to fix it new?
Why it bricked without doing anything?...

Clockworkmod is a recovery. What firmware did you flash exactly? Did you check the MD5? What did you use to flash (clockworkmod, odin etc)and what steps did you take to flash?
you can install Roms with Clockwork right? why it brick everytime i use recovery mode?
I installed the Samsung Firmware 10 times now i think.
to flash i the 2.3.3 Firmware from Samsung i used Odin.
And i want to install andorid 4.1 now
Hi guys
Sorry this is my first post and it will be a bit long but I've searched everywhere, absolutely everywhere with no luck at all.
So tonight I originally tried to update my MODEM to a Telstra one, and I flashed it via ODIN.
The ODIN flash failed and I stupidly pulled the phone out, and it gave me the dreaded
PHONE-----YELLOW TRIANGLE----- COMPUTER
'Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again"
I tried flashing a 4.3 KNOX stock rom later on (I realised it was a big mistake), that failed in ODIN as well
I have also tried re-partitioning with a PIT file as well via ODIN but it doesn't really help
ODIN keeps hanging on the "system" flashing command and goes to a red "fail". It won't start flashing "system.ext4.... etc"
I've tried all versions of ODIN and all version of 4.3
I can't use any 4.2.2 roms as the phone only seems to accept 4.3 stock roms now.
I've also tried KIES, but KIES will not recognise my phone, and ODIN hangs at 'system.ext4...' (can't remember, something similar, definitely said system)
So I have a completely bricked phone now... I can only get into TEAMWIN recovery but it won't connect to USB at all.
I absolutely can't flash anything with it failing in ODIN and KIES won't recognise my phone. I've put it in 'download mode' as well..
I've also tried flashing roms through TEAMWIN/CWM recovery but it instantly fails.
Are there any options open to me? I'm really scared that I have an expensive paperweight....

I thought with the official 4.3 new bootloader, we cant downgrade to 4.2.2.
Try another Odin version or extract the .tar file via Winrar (rename it from .tar.md5 to .tar if your file ending at .tar.md5) and flash the system.img.ext4 via this tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2333807 see if you getting error with this tool while flashing the system.img.ext4
and then try to flash again with odin
P.S. While flashing via Odin kill in Task Manager Kies and related process and flash again

Hey Bordo
Thankyou so much for your suggestion - I will try the individual component flasher later tonight and then write back on what happens
I will also remember to kill Kies with task manager beforehand, before using ODIN or any other flasher :good:

I have a GT-I9500. I want to flash stock firmware downloaded from sammobile.com using odin but when i press start it stops at "system.img" and says failed. I use original cable of the phone. I've changed usb ports to my computer. I've used different versions of odin, but it still says failed. I don't understand. Please help.
Possibles reasons:
1. Odin open, make sure to close Kies completely before you use Odin.
2. Wipes before installing.
3. You are trying to downgrade after flashing Lollipop

Android system recovery <3e>
LRX22C.I337UCUGOC3
the button reads
#MANUAL MODE#

Applied the csc-cide : ATT
remove failed file '/system/csc_contents' (Read-only file system)
Any help please
You are a new member here and I don't know your level of experience with phone modifications, so I'm going to make some assumptions.
Don't know if you can, but if you can boot into stock recovery, you should try performing a wipe data/factory reset.
What we would probably do in your situation is to use desktop Odin to flash the most recent stock firmware that is available, which is I337UCUFNB1 KitKat 4.4. After doing that, you could either try the over the air update process again, and it may work successfully, or you can upgrade to I337UCUFNJ4 KitKat 4.4 or to I337UCUFOC3 Lollipop 5.0.1 manually.
A good starting place is this thread. The instructions there are fairly clear, but you may need to do a little study and reading to get enough background information. There is a lot of information already in the forum here. You should be fairly confident that you understand what you are doing before you proceed.
Thank you for the response. I have tried the hard rest with no change. I have tried flashing back with Odin. Odin will connect with the phone but the connection drops at the first reset.
I have tried to restore with kies but kies does not recognize the phone.
I have also tried to flash with a new rom on the SD card. That has not worked either. I believe the problem is with the csc file but I have no idea how to fix it.

How are you using Odin? I don't understand what you mean by "the connection drops at the first reset."
The procedure is:
Open Odin on the desktop.
Put phone into download mode and connect to the computer via USB cable.
Odin will recognize the phone. Message area should say "Added."
Place the firmware .tar.md5 file in the PDA slot (AP slot on newer versions of Odin)
Make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked and all other items are not checked.
Press Start.
If the flash is not successful, copy and paste the results from the message area into a post.
By the way, you are flashing AT&T firmware, and CSC should not be an issue, regardless of the message you read on the phone.
I am using Odin just as you described but before the file transfer is complete the USB connection is dropped (disconnected). The progress bar on the phone only shows about 10% and never finished.
I am using i337 firmware and have been for 18 months. I have flashed several ROMs with no trouble

Russ, no you're not bricked, you have a flash that failed in odin, and if i understand it correctly you now have an instruction alive in your cache that executes at reboot resulting in kicking you back to that particular message/state in odin. Succeeding in a recovery or boot.img flash should break it out of that "loop". what changes have you made to your device that odin flashes are now failing? Also , are you using the factory provided cable?

I am using factory cable and have use other USB cables that are verified working. What I did was flash TWRP from sub77 and then tried to flash stock rom because it was being buggy. That is when the problem started and I cant go past the message. Although I can now access Download mode but when I try to boot up normally or to recovery I receive that message.

Okay download mode is good, flash the last known working recovery that you were using. Remember to DESELECT the auto restart option in odin.
when the flash is done [res-ok] etc. , force reboot to recovery and attempt a restore of your associated backup. Meaning if your existing backup was made with an older known working version of TWRP you must use that version. If Philz, then Philz.
Odin's later newer version is required to flash the LP 5.1.1 update for the sm-t330nu. see @thisisapoorusernamechoice 's thread for instruction.
