Issues with LG G2 - Rooted - No command and dead Android Symbol - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, first post in this forum - thanks for any help you can provide.
My wife and I both have LG G2 devices on AT&T. I rooted mine last year with LG One Click Root and successfully added TWRP and have been running Cyanogenmod 13.0 for several months with no issues. I've been able to update, flash, etc without much trouble.
My wife's phone - that's a different story.
She is currently on 5.0.2. I had some issues rooting her phone last week with LG One Click Root so I tried iRoot from the phone app. iRoot was successful in rooting the phone - verified with root checker. I installed TWRP, ROM Manager, and all the associated root apps. Followed the CM wiki to the letter as I did with my G2 and other phones I have successfully rooted. Then I copied CM 13 and Gapps to the Internal drive as the G2 doesn't have a SD port.
Here is where I run into an issue: Every time I try to boot it into recovery, I get a laying down Android with a red triangle above him. I then reboot the phone normally and everything is fine - runs 5.0.2 and it's all good - but it doesn't boot into TWRP. I also rebooted using the power and volume keys but I thought since I had TWRP on there it would reboot into TWRP if I instructed the phone to wipe everything. But it didn't- it wiped everything and booted up into 5.0.2. Subsequent attempts to reboot into TWRP yield the laying down Android figure. I've wiped davlik/cache, etc, to no avail.
I've tried everything I know to do to resolve the issue, but I'd really like to get my wife on 6.0. It's the least I can do for wiping her phone - she was reluctant to let me try and put a new mod on there in the first place. I'd appreciate any tips you folks can provide to get past the laying down Android screen.
Thanks so much!

[Q] No USB connection?

Hey,
I've messed up my phone many times before but I usually find my way and end up fixing it. This time, I have no idea.
I got a new refurbished LG G2 in the mail after my old one had completely broken down and Rogers honored their warranty and sent me a replacement. This replacement took a while and I became an iPhone guy for a bit (about a month). Usually there aren't much options for the D803 but this time I seen the new 5.0 Lolipop Resurrection Remix for D803 and having been away from andriod for so long I wanted the latest and greatest features so I blinded installed it (after rooting using towelroot and installing recovery through AutoRec). I used TWRP to flash the ROM and then GAPPS right after. When the phone restarted it would pass the LG boot logo but got hung on the Resurrection Remix boot logo for quite some time. I let the phone sit for a few minutes and it finally went to the setup page of the ROM. I input everything and being worried that this would happen again when I restart my phone, I used Flashify to flash a 4.4.4 ROM because I thought it was the 5.0 ROM that was causing the problems. The phone still hangs sometimes. So I thought I would go back to stock using LG Flashtool and a D803 Kdz. (which I've done numerous times before). I then realized that whenever I connect my phone to my computer, it doesn't recognize it at all. (makes no noise, but it charges). The phone doesn't prompt me to select which method I want to use for my usb connection either (usually it asks if I wanna use it just to charge, MTP, tether, etc).
I realized I probably did a couple of things wrong here and I was wondering if anyone knows where I would start to get my G2 back to working order. (I hate using the iPhone)
Any help
Same probem here, i read in other post that it's a problem on boot image, i don't know i kdz tool can be the cause but after that i got back stock firmware doesn't work.

[Q] Cyanogenmod 12 latest nightly loop Samsung GS5 (Sprint)

So, I've been trying to root my Galaxy s5 for a while now and I just got it to work successfully a few hours ago. With that, I installed CWM and everything was fine.
Now, I downloaded the latest nightly of CM12 for the S5 and I threw it on my SD card and ran my phone with the up volume home and power thing, selected the zip and it's now looping. It's been looping for maybe 25-30 minutes. It stopped and said it was upgrading apps for optimization, rebooted and is now stuck on the loading screen for CM12.
I literally know nothing about CM12 or rooting or any of it, I just successfully did it today, so I'm extremely new and know nothing. I didn't factory restore my device, I didn't do anything fancy like that, the tutorial didn't say that I needed to, I just selected it and installed and rebooted.
I tried taking the battery out, and it's still doing the same thing.
Any help is appreciated.
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

Good luck

[Q] LG G2 Bricked

Hi guys!
I just registered now but I am not new to this site at all.
Well, I have been using an LG G2 D802 (currently D80230B 5.0.2) for about one and a half years now, and I thought about proceeding further than rooting. I installed TWRP and flashed a volume boost mod with it succesfully.
The problem occured when I tried to flash a custom kernel in the hope of smoother system, features and customizability. I will write down in steps what I did:
1. I downloaded the kernel and put it on the storage of the phone.
2. I booted into TWRP and flashed the zip
3. I Wiped dalvik (or art? idk) / dalvik cache
4. Tried to reboot, I have only seen the lg logo appearing from time to time, but it's stuttering and sometimes the logo has green pixels around the screen. I can get it into download mode, but I had no result with flash tool, the software either stopped responding when I started the update without reading the phone, or it said after a minute of waiting to read the phone that port not found (USB or something).
Any ideas I can unbrick my G2 with, I really don't want to have it gone, I can't afford a new phone yet.
P.S: I have sent it to the service once in the past, so I guess my warranty is void by now.
EDIT: I got it working, the problem was that I didn't set the folder containing the kdz file at 'Work Directory'.

[Q] !HELP PLEASE! I think I bricked/boot loop my LG G2

Ok, so when I got my LG G2 the first thing that I noticed was the notification drop down menu and I really didn't like it as I prefer the stock android one much more. So I decided that i was going to root it, install TWRP and then install CM12. None of these went too well but defiantly the last one went the worst. I used the one click LG root application for pc to root it, I was a bit scared of this but it went alright. Then I tried to install a custom recovery and figured that I would use rom manager to install CWM recovery but for some reason after that it just booted into stock android recovery. After getting annoyed by this I looked for another app and settled for AutoRec to install TWRP and it worked fine. I booted into it all ok and I was happy. So I charged it up to 90% as some people say you need at least 80% to install a rom. I downloaded the latest CM12 nightly from their website and then the Google apps and saved them into a folder I named cm12files. I booted into recovery and did a ?Nandroid? backup (I think) and saved those files to both my phone and now onto my laptop. I wiped Dalvik Cache, System, Data and Cache. Then clicked install and selected my cm12 download. Then it came up with 'e:error executing updater binary in zip' and said that the install Failed. I googled the error and some post said that I should reboot it or something and as the retard I am I did that and as I have wiped it there is no android so it just showed this (tinyurl link: o2sylpp (if you dont want to click it it is just the lg boot logo)) then this (tinyurl link: nsduxck (if you dont want to click it it is just the lg logo with a message saying security error)) and keeps doing it over and over again (they are not pictures of my phone but they are exactly what my phone shows. Is there anything that I could do? I don't really mind if I get the LG android back.
Answer
Oh I fixed it. When I plug the phone in and then unplug it, the phone turns off and when it was off I held down the volume down and power until the lg logo popped up. I then just for half a second let go and pressed them both down again, a reset screen should come up but it didn't work so I just selected NO and it booted me into TWRP. From here I selected restore, chose by nandroid backup and it all worked!!!

[Q] Is my G2 dead?

Ive been running CM12 for a long time, but today I noticed I had a few missed calls and my phone hadnt rung. I rebooted the phone and it went into a boot loop. I cleared cache, but still bootlooping, dirty flashed the latest nightlie and then a full wipe - all of which resulted in the boot loop.
I restored my phone using the TOT method, but it would get to the setting up google account/wifi etc and reboot.
I used KDZ to install 30b lollipop ROM this seemed ok until reboot and then it would factory reset, optimise apps every time and be back to the setup screen.
I managed to install KK using KDZ and this seems more stable so used IOROOT and Autorec. I then flashed CM12 and GAPPS again, but it started to boot loop again.
I hadnt done anything to my phone prior to the problems - ie. no new ROMs, kernels or even apps.
Any suggestions or does it sound like something more physically wrong?
I have managed to get Cloudy G2 2.2 working without any problems except it isn't recognising my SIM. Does anyone have any thoughts or is this a dead phone?
