Same my phone looks NEW shine it 3x a day but just out of curiosity if i have the 7$ protection plan from sprint how can i get a new phone without having to pay the 100$ deductible?

No they always get you a refurbished one unless you are on your first 30 days of purchase with the phone

Yes, but its also possible for you to be within 30 days and some stores give you a refurbished and treat is as new...it happened before..
And yes after 30 days you get refurbished usually BUT there are those lucky who get a brand new one.

last I heard sprint doesnt have any refurb Epics yet and they are still giving out NEW Epics. Also if you go into a sprint repair store they do not charge you anything to replace it as long as you have insurance..

That is absolutely not true. I am on Sero Premium, which requires apparently some special activation process that my sprint store didn't know about. 3 TEP replacements in a week all with "non functional radios" (ie they didn't activate it correctly), all refurbs. Finally they figured it out and just replaced the screen on my original epic with parts cannibalized from one of my 3 TEP replacements.

My first replacement was new dunno Whuts gonna happen this time I. Don't want a broke down ****box LOL I honestly want to trade it for an evo

4th epic..? dang im still on my 1st and my only issue has been a dead pixel (red right in center) but i only see it on a white screen if i really look for it.
perhaps it is is the Invisashield haha

I'm on my 3rd epic.

i had a hero for a full year and i didnt ever have any problems with except it was falling apart and the back wouldn't stay on
the epic is better any phone ive ever had in my eyes or its maybe just me

Other than possibly frying the nand memory with a bad odin flash, or running it over what do you guys do to your phones? I work in a computer shop/recycling center and I carry my phone in my pocket. I run into stuff, hit it with 37in crts, drop it in open computer cases out of my shirt pocket and the drop to the concete only nicked the corner otherwise its perfect.

What was wrong with the phones you had??

Mine has been dropped, a lot, it's gotten more than one accidental boot heel, I've even dropped it in a puddle. This, as well as feverishly hacking it... and, as annoyed as I am regarding froyo.. I must say this phone has held up very very well.

White version on Best Buy site now

I noticed that white version is showing on Best Buys site now. Still shows as not available, but its probably coming soon. Anyone gonna swap out their blue for the white? I was originally planning on it, but after going through several just to find a good one I dont want to go through that again. Not to mention the dirt issue with the white. I can just picture the grooves on the back filling up with gunk and dirt.

And the reason I'm getting a white one is the edge around the bezel is silver which, to me, looks better/classier/ect. And having a case/ taking care of your tablet should cover the dirt issues.

I wouldn't recommend getting the white. Without fail, white electronics tend to oxidize over time and turn a slight yellow.

i just got back from exchanging mine... it's not really in stock at any of the bb around my area, so i had them order it and ship it to my house... the dock shows oos in their system [just like online], so i will have to get that at a later date...

The status has changed for several of the stores near me (California), that says ship to store (5 to 7 days) now, when it was saying unavailable.

charging it right now and i will fire it up in a bit once the battery charges up a bit...

Is there a date when the red and white will be in stores not just online? I would like to know why the blue is only available. I want that white it looks sweet.

it's on .26 and shipping was free so it was essentially a straight exchange, except i had it shipped to my house...

Is red not going to be available in the US?
399 for that white seems steep with the blue on sale for 349, but then again I am a tight ace.
I wish they would get white and red in stores so I can go look at them. I would buy one of them for sure, and stop waiting for this never to be seen 700.

Tmobile variant

Just got my priv today. Have had it for about three hours. Like it so far. Always have been a BlackBerry fanboy. But since android, I made the switch and never looked back. This device seems to be the perfect mix. So far so good!

I called T-Mobile couple of days ago and tech told me that "theoretically" unlocked PRIV on T-Mobile's network may also get AAD442 update that you got. I am currently on AAD250 with January security patch. Hope that this updates will also be available for factory unlocked PRIV devices because T-Mobile fixed couple of issue contained here: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-24554

I'm thinking of getting one today I'm a little worried about some of the negative reviews I've read. Currently have a 6 edge plus but want something different I'm tired of samsung

I've had almost every device out there except the new LG. As you know, devices are all based on personal preference. You need to determine what your highest priority is and then go from there. My top priority is battery strength. I am on the road in and out of meetings, so it is hard for me to charge during the day. I still haven't found a great great device in that regard. My next priority is the camera to take pictures of my kids. So far, the BlackBerry in the almost 24 hours that I've had it, has been great in both respects. My last device, the Nexus 6P, camera was not very impressive. Although, with marshmallow, the battery on the 6P is really good. But the Priv has lived up to all of the hype thus far. Feel free to ask any questions or a comparison of any device, as I mentioned I have had most all of the flagship devices.

Pick one up at t-mobile today as well. Miss having a fingerprint reader. The pkb is better then I expected according to reviews. I know battery life will get better.

After wanting to check one out for a while I was able to play with one at a t-mobile store. I ended up buying one, there said they only had 2 in stock so I said what the hell. I am impressed by the build quality and am getting used to a physical keyboard again. I need to dig deeper into the blackberry specific features to really get the most of it but my initial impression is positive.

PKB - Physical keyboard

I picked up a Private from TMo yesterday as well. I'm impressed so far, I really missed the physical keyboard from my old BlackBerry days. Only complaint so far is the bloat ware.

I just ordered one B&H I figured the unlocked should be the same as the tmobile variant and this was I saved a ton in taxes. I have the S6 edge now but have been with Samsung since the nexus. But I missed the good old blackberry keyboard. I tried in an att store b/c no one else had one on display. I did think the old bb keyboards were better. Can't wait till tomorrow.

With no root in sight, I went in and just disabled all the TMo apps. There are 4 I believe. Really boosted my battery life. I went from about 5-6 hours to 11-12 hours, both with moderate use. So if your having battery issues, give it a try. Oh and my phone no longer gets hot either.

Disabling all the bloatware was the first thing I did because I noticed a major drain with the Tmobile app.
As for having a fingerprint scanner for that quick unlock of the device... I haven't really missed it since I have an android wear watch. Smart lock has easily been my favorite feature of lollipop and on... so easy to stay mostly secure and be able to quickly unlock my device all throughout the day. I would highly suggest one for this reason!

Has anyone taken the update yet out of the box?

All it says is "11A".
I deferred it for now until someone has some advise. I don't want to not be able to achieve root or something because I took an update out of the box. Haha

Yeah, definitely going to take me a few days. Came from Droid Turbo and 5.1.
Cool on the update, I figure unless there's some functionality broken out of the box, no need to take it until someone can tell us what it is.

I'm getting constant nag notifications for this. I turned off notifications for updates and it just sits in the notification drawer.
Anyone know how to permanently not take updates so I'm not bothered?

WELCOME TO VERIZON,talk about a double-edged sword:
Great coverage & network (YMMV of course),but,man the rest of their practices,not to mentionusing the bastard CDMA technology,is more than anyone should have to tolerate,especially when no real viable options are available.
Can you not disable VZW's bloatware (VZW apps)?
At minimum,I'd disable DT Ignite,not sure if that will help in the nagging,but,it's one less crapware app needlessly running on your phone..............

Problem for me is I disabled that one yesterday....thought it was good, but nope, started nagging me again today, it still shows disabled too.

I forgot, I also went into developers options and turned off automatic system updates. Mine does not nag anymore even after reboot

I came from a Note 4 and then S7E to the V20. AMOLED has such a tremendous saturation of colors that no LCD will ever be able to compete on that front. But, the brightness level and clarity is about the same. But it has taken me a few days to get back to accepting this as the new norm. Everytime I load CoC I think something is wrong until I remember I'm on a new device.

I took the update. I think it got rid of app pinning in recents.

I still don't believe that Samsung doesn't see what the issue is with the Note 7... The day I got my Note 7 replacement device I disabled Fast Charge because THAT is the issue. The Fast charge feature is flawed in this phone and the charger is pushing more current into the battery than the battery is allowing for and making the Battery unstable! I have a Battery temperature monitor installed and my battery has never gone over 95F under GPS load and plugged in to a charger with the Fast charge feature disabled. I will ROOT my phone and block Samsung updates for trying to limit my phone when they SHOULD be releasing an update to permanently disable Fast charge!

Hit up every supervisor i could on all samsung platform's and none would send me a note4 free of charge inturn for refunding my lovely note 7! They can piss off even though no one can unlock phe yet

I use fast wireless charge every day, almost all day. No issues. never gets hot. Package disabler pro will let you disable updates, so they can't cripple you. Have to use an older version than current play store unfortunately. Seems Samsung convinced then to remove that function in the latest version.

Still got mine, the ota update came 2 my phone Saturday morning but i didn't install & put manual update on for now on till i figure out what 2 do. Love this phone & waited extra 1.5 years with my s4 waiting for it. So not going backwards to a s7 now that its 6 months old

Not showing either "software update" packages on my list.
