Most of us who are newbies in Flashing Custom ROMS might have faced this issue .....
You must have normally did a Normal Wipe and proceed to flash your ROM
While you were flashing it suddenly
E: Error in executing updater-binary
and Boom our Installation would be aborted.This is because of a minor conflict between the ROM and your Device . Don't worry your current ROM will not be corrupted and you won't get your phone bricked .
Just Go to the Wipe Menu in your Recovery and Re-wipe your device .
Now go to the Install Menu and re-flash it . It will successfully be flashed ....

i have a zenfone 501cg. Recently i flashed resurrection remix . After that when i try to flash Gapps its not working. The flashing is completing error free but when reboot there is no Gapps installed . I am pretty sure i have the correct Gapps package ( X86) . I also tried changing the rom but no change . Plz help

Use the recovery from here (Credit goes to @X AnwarMov) . If you already use this version of recovery (Right now) and it fails then you may mount system partition manually before flashing Gapps.
If it also fails, you may also use the twrp 2.8.7.0 recovery from here (Credit goes to @quanganh2627)

I am from Singapore and I want to flash custom rom for my Note 3 LTC SM-N9005. I am not new to custom flash as I have done it successfully last time using Cwm.
However I been facing problem flashing custom on this note 3.
I have downloaded AryaMod ROM, rooted my stock firmware with chain fire auto root(flash using ODIN), installed twrp 2.8.7.0 using flashify.
I copied the rom to my SD card, power off phone, enter recovery mode (volume up, power and home) with Twrp interface . Wipe up the necessary delvik cache etc, then I install the ROM.
However I get to the screen where it says
Installing external_sd/ROM.zip
Checking md5 file.
Skipping md5 check. No md5 file found

.
Flashing file 1 of 1
External_sd/rom.zip
It run for about 2 mins. Then it auto goes back to twrp page. I reboot the phone into system mode but the firmware is not being flashed.

What zip file is it ??
Edit: Didn't realize that AryaMod uses Aroma so latest version of TWRP is a no go.
If its an Aroma install then newer TWRP may/will not work .

Download this one and flash it in your current twrp https://dl.twrp.me/hlte/twrp-2.8.7.0-hlte-4.4.zip.html
After that reboot again to your twrp and start flashing your rom.
You probably have flashed the one for 4.3 bootloader, a wrong one...
I guys I have the same problem when I'm trying to flash any Rom my phone its a 9005. I thinks its not TWRP 2.8.7.0 4.4 hlte etc... because I have it and did not work. tried by 2 ways: by updating bootloader/modem and without them and the result are the same. Im running stock lollipop, now without root neigther. So Im kind a stuck here in this obsulete 5.0 lol
any ideias, thanks in advance

Hi it's aryamod rom
Factory reset .
Flash stock rom through ODin .
Put Araymod zip on ext sd card .
Flash TWRP file through Odin .
Boot to recovery and flash zip .
FOLLOW ROM INSTRUCTIONS .
Installation Steps
Root permission and Custom recovery (PhilZ Touch 6.48.4 or twrp-2.8.7.0) is required for flashing any custom rom so make sure you are done this part.
Make sure your phone is fully charged to 100%.
Now follow as below:
Download the ROM zip and make sure md5sum is matched then transfer to your phone
Flash odin latest modem and bootloader from here
Boot the phone into Recovery Mode
Do a FULL wipe: Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data, System even if coming from a port rom
Flash rom
The first boot may take 15-20 min
After booting up in setting wizard make sure to uncheck diagnostic data

So i was swapping roms: i booted into twrp, cleared cache and data and flashed my rom ( ResurrectionRemix-M-v5.6.0-20151213-wt88047.zip ) and Gapps.
i noticed flashing RR took just a minute and returned this message:
"unmount of /system failed; no such volume
script succeeded: result was [0.200000]"
after that the Gapps package flashed with no problem, but my phone does not boot properly.
Edit: i also tried different twrp versions, but i got the same result with each of them
It does still boot to fastboot, but i wasn't able to get into android.
i read something about cf.lumen drivers causing this kind of error while swapping roms, but i don't know if they were there in the first place or how to uninstall them.

Good night, try to flash miui. Then install twrp 3-1 and ROM. But first go to the Lineageos tag and download the modem and flash. Then try ROM again.
I had MIUI installed before the Rom flash, and i was using fastboot ti boot into twrp without actually flashing it.
I eventually solved my issue by flashing a different rom, so i think the one i was using was corrupted or Just bugged.

Hi iam a bad guy i tried to do use aosp extended rom
So i tryed to get on my moto g5pluse i root it installed twrp installed magisk then i stared to install aosp extended procces in twrp recovery mode i wipe up the data,chace,then i start to install the zip throuh twrp in recovery mode i click the file an swipe to start the installation an :laugh:i shows the error 255 :cyclops: ok it get error i tryed to install the zip again but it stucked again error255 ok i wont happed no problen but when i tryed to start the phone it stucked on rooted window it not starting too iam stuck

Update twrp to the latest. Format data partition. Try flashing some other rom if aosp doesn't flash.
Twrp recovery does not install any rom , try different rom and recovery, error 7 and when delete first 2 lines in updater script, the rom install correctly but after reboot i have a bootloop. Try to delete cache, dalvik but nothing happen, . i had similar problem with mi a2 and a modified version of twrp give to me possibilities to install roms..
