How do you expect to install a ROM on it that doesn't support that device?
In order for a ROM to work, it has to support the device. If the device isn't supported, there is no way to install it unless you learn how to build it and it sounds like you have no clue where to begin with that.

Device Information

Correct me if I am wrong but XDA II is supposed to have 64 MB of ROM, right?
However, my problem is when I go to Settings -> Device Information -> Hardware, I get a Flash size of 32 MB.
CPU: Intel(R) PXA263
Speed: 400 MHz
RAM size: 128 MB
Flash size: 32 MB
So is my device lacking the supposedly 64 MB of ROM? Or am I interpreting the information wrong?
why does it matter ?
roms have to be 100% made for a device and htc would never make a rom which dident fit
and you cant do anything with more then the 5MB you can access in the extented rom
http://www.myxda.com/product/XdaII/...m?faq_id=377&type=faq&category_id=6&id=26#cat
That is true, but am I lacking the supposedly 64 MB of ROM? Because my Device Information only shows 32 MB of ROM.
mine say that too
if your ram was smaller then it needed to be then
the xda2 rom would never have been able to fit in it

ROM and RAM

What does ROM and RAM means related to the HTC TyTn ?
HTC TyTn ROM = 128 MB
HTC TyTn RAM = 64 MB
When you install application to the "Storage Memory", where will it be installed ? in the RAM ?
What are installed in the ROM ?
Where the default application from the provider (e.g. T-Mobile) are installed ?
Thanks!

The 128 MB of Flash ROM is broken into two parts:
- 64 MB for "Storage" (think hard disk space)
- 64 MB for "Program" execution (also called "RAM")
Programs reside in storage until they are activated (at which point they are also loaded into RAM). The amount of RAM you have available is what's left after loading the OS.
The carrier apps are also stored in ROM/RAM.
RAM is used to run applications. Its content gets lost on power off.
ROM (Flash RAM indeed) is used to store firmware, to install user applications and to keep data. Its content is kept even without power. "Extended ROM" is also a part of 128MB "ROM".
As I understand, HTC TyTN has NAND flash, and so no XIP and PagePool consumes a lot of RAM, though making things to run faster.
A good reading for beginners is here and here.
I don't like the tendency to call flash memory that is writeable as "ROM" (=Read-Only Memory). IMHO it provides a lot of confusions.
Very good explanation Lurker0, and both articles are worth reading for anyone!

Note 2 root help T Mobile

I need an up to date guide complete phone be back up soft ware cuz I've only done this once before and I done want to
Mess up on thIs phone
Trying to root to install viper and ma K e it able to support 64 gb sd card
PNY Elite Performance 64GB High Speed SDXC Class 10 UHS-I, U1 Up to 90MB/sec Flash Card - P-SDX64U1H-GE
Worth viper4android works on it
Use framaroot for rooting and to make ur phone support 64gb follow these steps:
1. Download device control(root)
2. Grant superuser access
3. Explore tabs until you see sd read ahead ratio. Change from 128 kb to other higher. It will make your phone still faster ( myth busted: sd above supported levels slows phone) while even a cheap 80$ non android phone can support 64 gb of card. My grandpa's samsung gt e2252 have 16 gb and box says expandable upto 2 gb.............

A solution for your needs might be the InsydeH20 bios, which allows you to run Android in x86 architecture.
I am not sure if it supports your device, but you can do some research at their homepage.

How to resize system partitions on android?

Hello! I recently downloaded and flashed my tablet Lenovo A3000-H with soft from this link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-kitkat-4-4-2-v3-0-0-lenovo-a3000-h-stable-version. 3414278 / Everything plays, no problem, but with one "but". The memory is arranged like this:
- Phone memory - 6 MB (!!! Who saw it? !!!!)
- SD card - here I have 64 GB, normal
- System root directory (/) - 2.7 GB
And you see, 6MB - what's that supposed to be ?! I wish it were something like this:
- Phone memory - from 1.5 GB to 1.7 GB
- SD card - no change
- System root directory (/) - somewhere like 1 GB, max 1.5 GB
Can it be done (with root, of course )? PLEASE FOR HELP !!! : D
Greetings
