startup tone

Is there a way to kill startup tone or at least reduce its volume? Doesn't seem to be linked with any of the system volumes
you can try to look for SilentBoot in the market. make sure you enable it after successfully installing it
when I put mine onto vibrate it doesn't make a startup tone

thanks, putting on silent does the trick, easy enough...

[Q] Battery Drain "Mediaserver"

I couldn't find a solution anywhere that was causing the battery drain for "MediaServer". The two process were "AudioOut_2" and DirectTrack. I don't have viber installed. What are these processes in the "MediaServer" and what purpose do they serve?
UPDATE: I found out that the process using those services is called "1013". How do i figure out what application is it?

To reduce or eliminate the audio out, turn off all key tones and vibration. Don't know what direct track is.

Not sure if I understand what you're asking but I have a default ringtone which is "over the horizon" and this is not ascending by default. I can go into my settings and select increased ringtone if my device is in my pocket and notice the ringtone does gradually increase if the device is in my pocket or gym bag.
Hope this helps!

Well, with the increased ringtone option selected or not, the ringtone starts at a very low volume and then it comes normal, and there is no option about it... Or is it??

This is default behaviour of samsung ROMs. If you want to disable ascending ringtone you'll have to root and use xposed module/ wanam xposed.

Ah, I understand now! The behavior you are experiencing is default in nature for your ringtone. You can use my suggestion to help increase the ringtone if the device is in your pocket or gym bag but it will start out low and gradually progress. Try to find a new ringtone or install a ringtone which is better and set this as your default ringtone.
If you like the one you have and just wish for it to be louder, you can customize through a root but if you do not wish to do this, check out the following app. I have used this on other devices so am not sure if it's compatible with the SG-N3:

which option from wanam deals with increasing ringer?
edit: found it lol - cheers!!
try this app "HandyPhone" in Google Play store, its better than the app "Disable Increasing Ring"
Open into HandyPhone, then enable ascending ring, set the initial ringing level to "maximum".

[?]Disable Incremental Ringtone?

Does anyone know how to disable the increasing ringtone WITHOUT using xposed?
Thanks!
My phone doesn't have an option for incremental ringtone? The ringtone is always at a set level. I do however see an option for when it's in my pocket to get louder?
Are you sure it's not just the way the ringtone was recorded?

I'm having the same issue. I can confirm that it's not because of the ringtone I'm using. Fella from work has the note 3 and it did the same thing. Would love to figure out how to disable this

No it's not the ringtone. I made it myself. The first second is quiet then it goes to regular volume. I don't want to use Wanam because you can't play Square Enix games with Xposed installed. My current work around is an app on the play store called "Disable Increasing Ring" and then I go to App Manager and uncheck Show Notifications. This works fine. I just hate using an app for something that should have a toggle by default.
Thanks Guys!

Just use Wanam Xposed, and set it as per your liking, if I understood you right.

Are you sure you have Xposed framework installed? If you don't then kindly install it first, then make sure Wanam Xposed is ticked there, and make a soft reboot.
