Standard cable and charger. It seems that with Android 7, the devices charges slower. 2h from 20% to 100%. Also Android reports a wrong voltage. It says something like 4000000 mV.

Losing Battery Life while Charging

I currently have my N1 on the charger it started off at 96% when I put it on the charger and it is now currently at 90%. I use process manager to kil all apps so there isn't an app running in the background. Any ideas why this is going on or what to do to fix. And I'm not currently doing anything w/ it its sleeping while this is going on.
I've noticed something similiar while slow charging (500mA or less) and running battery intensive tasks.
For me its while driving, high brightness and GPS with navigation on.
The solution is to use a 1000mA charger.
thank you for the fast response; so is charging with a 200ma destroying my battery?
it won't destroy battery, it'll probably slow down the draining of your battery, due to not enough voltage to charge it.
Well then I'll be making a trip to ebay during my lunch, thank you both for the answers!
200mA is too weak to get any sort of charge into the battery, no wonder it's not charging lol
it charges after it seems to warm up lol
Your are in Cyanogen ROM ?
Because i've the same effect if i plug my N1 with more that 89% ex : 95% and plug the device it discharge down 89% and start the charge up 100%
I read that to avoid overcharging

It was discussed in some other thread. It's one of the FroYo features that Google committed and so it got to CyanogenMod ROMs, but with no explanation people started thinking that something's wrong with their phones. There isn't anything wrong, it's the programmed behavior, to allow proper battery charging.

Is there any app that shows the rate of current charge?
oh so the battery is supposed to do that, I feel better. Something about getting a charger to throttle my battery didn't seem correct.

I don't know about an app, but the feature is there in the /proc fs and documented, showing the discharging (or charging) current. I can look up the file to read, if needed.
The battery does this on my phone as well. I am on Enom 1.8.1 . Someone in that thread called it a "charging profile" and stated it related to SetCPU. Not sure if this is entirely the case, but it does seem to be somewhat of a nuisane... If I am having to leave and my phone has 90% vs. 100% that makes a big difference.

Yes please, if you can elaborate that would be great. What you just said is 100% Greek to me

Also install "spare parts" and go to battery info, that will tell you if the phone thinks its on AC or USB charger, some AC chargers are detected as USB and the phone limits the charging current. The middle data connections need to be shorted for the phone to use full charging current and detect charger as an AC one.
so it worth getting a higher output charger or not?

Aha! I was searching on Google for /proc/fs for a while and couldn't find anything useful. No wonder!
Anyway, how do you get such nice output?
Here's what I get:

Ah, even better than /proc/kmsg! -
dmesg!
Then pipe it to grep!!!
[Edit]: Even better!
dmesg | grep batt > /sdcard/dmesg.txt
I found this interesting, charging via USB actually gives a "SLOW" message:

I can not confirm.
At me from 90 % to 100 % pressure of a charge to 200 falls, but hour is charged not, 15 it is no more minutes.
Can try to calibrate to you the battery.

This is the charging characteristic of lithium ion battery. Current will be lower as it is near to full capacity. You can Google for it.
I fix this problem by drain batt to 10% and charge to Full by Docking. Now it come in to normal (Stand by around 2 days.)

Turbo Charger is able to supply at least 6% of charge for at least 45minutes, then it slows down to 4% per 5minutes until it's fully charged. That last 2% charge did take a lot longer though.
Trent charger is pretty much constant at 4% per 5 minutes, then down to 3% increase after it got to 92% charged.
I'll try a 1A charger next, lol I also have a Nexus 10 charger to try as well. I dont have a 3A charger to test.
Awesome info. Just curious why you start from 5%?

it's probably an 8%-10% increase per 5mins for the first 15mins for the Turbo Charger.
i'll do another this weekend.

Hey can you update it again as mine is taking 90-100 mins to chagre with the tubro charger itself.
Thanks
How hot does the battery get when you are turbo charging it? IIRC, hotter batteries = shorter battery life overall.
what happen to 15 min 60% charge lol.
my battery gets pretty hot/warm when charging.
I think it was 6 hours of usage (overall, not 6 hours of gaming) in 15 min. And with my battery lasting 36+ hours, that 23% would def get me 6 hours.

yours is about the same. mine charged in 93mins w/ the Turbo Charger. I dont think 3-7 mins is that much of a difference.
Now that I've added a few more apps tho, it might be a lil more. I'll try time it again.

Also tried an Anker 60W 6port USB charger.
It has Power IQ where it's supposed to adjust charging power to what the device requires. I think it's supposed to max out between 2a - 2.4a
Well, from completely drained out battery, it took a full 3hrs to fully charge the device.
If you want your device charged fast, don't get this charger.
If you have time to wait and a lot of devices to charge all at once and like to travel, get this device.
Has anyone monitored the voltage/current output of their turbo charger? I cannot get to the "turbo 2" output (12 V, 1.2 A) listed on the charger. Even from 4% battery, I max out ~ 9 V, 1.5 A, which is listed as "turbo 1". In my test today, charging was pretty constant around 1.3% per minute up to 60%, then dropped off as expected. Some more data: starting at 4%, here are the total times (in minutes) to critical percentages.

I haven't seen it use the 12V output yet. Its not s large difference 13.5 W for turbo and 14.4 W for 12V. I wonder how much faster it would charge and if it's a software or hardware limitation

What app r u using to see the current output?? Ill check mine too
I personally found that the stock cable that comes with the phone doesn't allow for that much voltage/amperage to pass through it. I do have another cable at home that is thicker and it charges it a whole lot faster. I will try and get the data for it.
So what's the best cable and wall plug for fastest charging?

18 watts?
I am getting similar results as the OP. It works out to about 2400maH, which is about 75% charge in one hour. This is theoretically about the same as you would get from a 5v 2.4A (12w) amp non-turbo charger, which I have achieved with my "Note 3" 2.4A standard charger. One would think the turbo charger would charge about 50% faster on the Nexus 6 either at 9v 2A, or 12v 1.5A, which is 18w, which I haven't heard of anyone achieving.

For some reason, I don't trust those turbo chargers. I think I'll stay with a regular 2.1A charger. It doesn't charge real fast, but I have time and it may be safer for the battery.
My charging rate

Ampere during charging of Huawei P Smart FIG-LX1

On my Huawei P Smart I tried to install Ampere to check the mA during charging. With the original charger the app marked me max 870 mA. It seemed strange, because the charger is 2A and because with 1000 mA during charging it would take 3 hours to charge the 3000 mAh battery, and the smartphone takes less (not so much less in fact).
Disappointed by the app, I tried to make a partial charge from 24% to 91% (with another non-original 2A charger) in 1h 56m 30s. 67% charge = 2010 mAh in 1,94 hours, so 2010 / 1,94 = 1036 mA during the charge.
I specify that during charging the phone was on (not in use). Do you think that is right? It is not a little slow? Do you have a feedback to give me about?
(Sorry for my English not so good)

Charging speed

To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.

Charging speed depends on ambient temperature because battery is only charging with full speed when it's temperature is below 40 celsius and it's easier to maintain it in cold environment.
