There are 2 corporate stores here. 1st one gave me that rigamarole. 2nd said, yes we have them, come on in.
Got mine, too! They wouldn't let me change colors, but I didn't really press since I thought I might regret going coral blue.

I was using a loaner s7 edge, and I turned in everything. The new Note was completely brand new in box with all accessories.
I brought only the phone. I kept all the accessories. I left with the new Note 7 still in the box. They activated it in the box. Wouldn't let me leave without activation, but talked them into not going through the setup there.
Just say you do youtube videos of the unboxing and you need the box sealed and they 'should' let you.
I also heard of someone saying 'UPS left me the phone sealed and not activated, I expect to leave here the same way'
I just swapped mine out today at my local corp store. I had my old box in the car just in case I needed it. They let me keep all the items in the new box and did not request any of the old items back. They only needed the phone.

I pre-ordered and purchased my original Note 7 from Sprint.com. I was able to replace mine today. (Here's a more detailed writeup). I had to call around to several stores to find one with new Note 7's in stock. Don't just call one store - call around. I was also able to keep the old accessories (I did turn in my old headsets by mistake, but I don't care about them). The new phone does not (yet) have the green battery indicator.

The Samsung agent told me to call them from location so they can talk to the manager. Hopefully I can get this resolved for free, sprint is one greedy company.

I just got my replacement from Best Buy and I was the first person that the Mobile department employee did the recall with and he had to read all the instructions before he could give me the phone and he did read that the phone needs to be in excellent working condition and not damaged.

Some of us ordered nearly a month ago when Best Buy first posted these on their site, to avoid any release day sell-outs.
Mine shipped this afternoon, from Hodgkins, IL FWIW. I may be returning it though since it was $199 when we ordered back then, and bestbuy.com customer service hasn't responded to my inquiry to adjust the price rather than both sides dealing with the hassle of return and repurchase.
Um, we are talking Nexus S here, there was no danger of release day sellouts.

Hey guys I finally got a new G2 yesterday off of craigslist. Gotta love them local deals Anyways, I want to enroll it with Verizon's Asurion insurance plan. They're currently holding open enrollment until December 2 but the G2 isn't listed as an option on Asurion's site. Do you guys think it will show up some time soon? I don't want to risk cracking the screen and having to pay a lot more out of pocket.
Maybe take it to a local store and see if they'll add insurance to the line?
Just take it to a store and have them put it on there for you.

First, I don't think they will allow you to add insurance on it because its a phone bought from an unknown source. But if I am wrong, Asurion does have this phone. I got my phone from Verizon a couple of days after it came out and then it got stolen. Contacted Asurion and put in the order to get a new one. They didnt have it for a couple of days but then they got it in and sent me a new one. Paid $99 for the replacement. This was about 2 weeks ago. Good luck
Since it's open enrollment they'll put insurance on any verizon phone, doesn't matter where u get it from. As long as it's in good condition they'll add the insurance

They shipped it on 2/29 but thanks to a miscommunication between UPS and T-Mobile it was sent back to T-Mobile after it got as close as 2 miles away from me! Now it's back to T-Mobile and they are re-ordering me a new one since they can't locate the one that was returned. I'm guessing I'll be sent to the back of the line again which is such B.S.

I was out of town and had a vacation hold via UPS My Choice. For some reason, that triggered an automatic return to T-Mobile's warehouse in Ft. Worth, TX. Despite multiple phone calls w/ both UPS and T-Mobile and being re-assured multiple times, they couldn't get the package sent back to me. They have now placed a new order for me but they put me in the back of the line and claim there's nothing they can do since the phone hasn't been officially released yet. Very very upset with T-Mobile over this as I've been told on separate occasions that I'd receive it tomorrow but most recently was told they have know way of knowing when I'll receive it.

I ordered mine on the 4th. It just says processing so I called and before I even said what I was calling for sure said "are you looking for a Samsung s7?"
I guess at this point they are saturated with orders. I guess it's a huge success. Looks like early shipping has run it's course.

Ok so you've already got your return box and have sent your note 7 back? What service is your Note on? Let me know once you get a check, how much it's for, and if it's legit. I don't feel safe just sending my note 7 to a random place hoping to get a $850 check in return.

I have no receipt and i was told i think if i send it without one they will give me what Sprint is or was selling the phone for which was 849$ anyone else sending back without a receipt ? Thanks...
they received my phone yesterday, so im waiting to see if i get the full refund. i bought mine on craigslist for $220 and the original carrier was AT&T. i took it to best buy and an att store for an exchange but both places refused to do so since i didnt have no proof of purchase. called samsung and after a few days i received the box to send it in.

I called my local store to see if they had stock and was told yes. I proceeded to unroot and relock my bootloader on my Nexus 6 to have it ready for swap (payment plan upgrade). Got my two kids in the car and headed to the store. Got there and they have no idea what I'm talking about but after some prompting decided to check their inventory. They say they have 6 in Titan but then the store manager can't find them, and basically tell me to go order it online as it won't be in store till the 25th and they couldn't sell me one anyways if they did have stock. I really just wanted to see and feel the phone, everything else I'm sold on. But the attitude I got when we are talking about hundreds of dollars worth of hardware and service, really astounds me. Anyway the moral of the story is YMMV as far as getting a v20 in store before the 25th. Smh I wanted silver anyways.....
it's a verizon store, what did you expect? everytime i goto corporate stores, they're all ignorant a**holes. i hate corporate verizon. i used to run an authorized retailer, and people would constantly tell us nightmare stories of corporate stores, and all i would do is agree, because i felt the same way. they're idiots, and the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

Long story short: I had a temp phone (V10) and couldn't get V20 until V10 was returned. So online wasn't an option for me.

That sucks. I got lucky I guess. I'm thrilled too - this is by far the best phone I've ever used (including the Note 7 which I had for a month).
Its funny, now that I had to go back to stock, I decided to flash a Nuget ROM and now I'm not sure if I want to upgrade, my n6 still really holds its on with new software.
My Verizon zone (authorized retailer) said not until Friday. After reading this, I think I'm gonna call every day lol.

Ended up ordering after the cut off to have it shipped Saturday but I got my tracking info this morning and gets here tomorrow. Really looking forward to ths phone, I had to return my Note 7 and Samsung still shipped my my 256GB SD card for Free.

Same thing with me, but I got the s7 edge after my Note 7. Man, s7 edge software felt so half-baked compared to the Note 7. Also, the Note 7 curved back makes a huge difference when you hold the phone. I am returning my s7 edge and getting my v20 on wednesday and using my 256gb samsung card.
Quick question for those of you that got yours through verizon. Does it come with a factory screen protector? I'll be getting mine tomorrow and I have a case for it, but I couldn't seem to find a screen protector that was worth a damn. I really don't want to go naked until I find one if I can help it.

Yes it comes with a screen protector that can be used. Just has a small pull tab on it.
Yeah, its a cheap plastic screen protector. I'll keep it on till it bubbles up or starts to peal off.
