T-mobile in store demo units??

Anyone know if/when t-mobile corporate stores will start getting their store demo units in? In the past they've always gotten a new device in a week or so before launch. It'd be nice to check it out in store prior to ordering from the play store.

I just talked to T-Mobile today and they said they'll probably get them a day or two before - but won't put them out on display until the 13th. I got a nice salesperson that offered to call me when they come in and let me feel it before release! :laugh: Check with your local store and maybe you'll get lucky.

Yeah, I was under the impression it was releasing on the 14th? If it's the 13th, then AWESOME :laugh:.

I can't get any kind of answer from the stores ..most barley know wtf I'm talking about let alone a release date for the phone
I'm going in to a higher volume store tomorrow to see if they have their phones yet ...I really want to have this phone in my hands on the 13th

^^ Same here. The 1 store near me (downtown Denver) has absolutely no idea what's going on with their launch of the Nexus 4. One employee knew what I was talking about and said he planned on ordering his unlocked tomorrow as well but said there has been no internal communication regarding display units or availability.

I just got off the phone with one by where I work in minneapolis, and they said they should have it out tomorrow or the next day.

they told me the 14th..i live in miami btw

officially on sale wednesday morning. instore only! lol. can't wait.

I went to my store today in Detroit and she said the truck with the phones comes in tonight and I could come in tomorrow to play with the demo unit

A firm word won't change the fact that the device is sold out, they have apologised and credited you the shipping charges for the inconvenience..

I just called customer support because I too got this email, but my account says its still expected to be shipped by today and the representative told me that everyone who ordered a Nexus 4 got this email. He said that only the people who ordered 2+ devices could be waiting, but those who ordered 1 aren't likely to be backordered.

Lots of people who ordered didn't get that email, so that's not true, or at least, didn't get that email yet.. :silly:

Google sent me the same damn email! RIDICULOUS!

I only ordered 1 Nexus 4 16GB but i got that backorder email. I just talked to a google REP also and he said, its on backorder. I also had a Nexus 10 16GB in the same order and he said, since the order is bundled, I now have to wait for my Nexus 10 until the Nexus 4 becomes available to ship even though the Nexus 10 16GB is available right now. I asked for a request for my Nexus 10 to be shipped separately earlier and REP said, it can't be done as they are in same bundled order. Lame lol would have been nice if I could have at least had my Nexus 10 earlier. Oh well, it is what it is.

I wonder if that's people who ACTUALLY ordered 2+ or people with 2+ phantom order's? LOL I show 2 ordered in the play store, but my wallet only shows the 1 in my wallet and my card only shows billed for one as well. What a disaster, lol

You do realize that google does not manufacture devices. Period. If you want to be mad, be mad at lg. Also if your last couple of devices didn't sell all that well to begin with would you really stock up on a bunch of hardware that has the potential to not sell on top of selling at a minimal gain or slight loss?
Stop whining and be glad that you're getting an extremely underpriced phone out of contract.
Can't stand when people whine when they don't know all of the facts :banghead: :sly:

Just got off the phone with Google Order Support. They confirmed that anyone that received the email will be placed on back order. Anyone who ordered who has not received the email will have theirs shipped this evening and that all the back order emails had gone out. So if yours is still processing, you will get your shipping confirmation later this evening with 1-2 day shipping.
Please don't kill the messenger.

What do you mean incompetence? If you mean since they sold it to you today. They upped the release date from Tuesday to today.

I thought BEST BUYS site was full of it..... the in-store option said "Available Now"

Picked mine up this afternoon, Willow Grove, PA Best Buy, they're sold out now. I had it preordered already online for delivery, got the email at like 4am this morning saying the release date of a product you ordered had changed. I thought "well, looks like they probably pushed it back to a later release in August or something..." Then I saw that it was released today, so I went online to see if they were available for in-store pickup. Sure enough they were. Now I have the one I bought and the one coming via UPS. Now I'm hoping I can just take the one I got delivered and return it to the store with the receipt from the in-store pickup one so I'm not stuck with two.
Does anyone know when or if this is going to get its own forum?
Update: You can return an online order to any Best Buy, per their return policy. "Avoid shipping charges and receive a refund more quickly by returning your items to any Best Buy store within the United States."

Yes you can. It says on their website you can return anything bought online to a local store.

[Q&A] Got the Nexus 7 early!

Got the Nexus early today from my local best buy called them and they told me a truck was coming at 5PM picked up a 32GB model with also a chromecast have any questions feel free to ask anything also willing to help for future development

Like Nburnes said, seems Best Buy started selling them early, so everyone else just followed along. I drove down from Toronto to Buffalo to grab one

Went to best buy today with no luck decided to go to gamestop just to look around and they had it in stock! Got mine with one year insurance which was cheaper than best buys insurance soviets it worked out.

I knew i should have called gamestop i think i called 5 different staples and then called 3 different best buys lol to finally get some one to tell me were getting another shipment

I ordered mine Friday from Amazon and had it Saturday delivered. So glad cause I'm leaving out of town for work and I didn't want to be chasing down stores in an unfamiliar town.
I already got a Samsung wireless charger base ordered and my Portenzo Book case preordered. Trying to find a SP now.
In the mean time I'll just baby the thing.

UK orders delayed?

I pre ordered my G2 about a month ago and rang Car phone warehouse to confirm my delivery for tomorrow which they did state at the time of ordering that i would receive the phone on the 1st October. The lady dealing with me put me on hold and came back a few minutes later and told me that no stock had been received and it will be a few weeks before they start to ship them out.
Has anyone else pre ordered and found out that the phone has been delayed?

all over the Netherlands thats the case. I got mine by sheer luck. Was searching all merchants and found one awesome one that had it in stock. maybe with luck you can do the same.

I was looking for the Z1 last Friday in the Netherlands, at the mediamarkt They didn't have any, however by surprise, the lg g2 was already available and in stock.by the looks of the device and the fact the screen is superb I immediately got one on contract. They only had 2 though, so i guess there isn't a lot in stock, since the major Dutch providers, and phonestores don't present it as in stock. Lg Netherlands however posted a tweet that both the 16 and the 32 gb version should be available this week.

I got my one ordered back home (Dubai) for £300. Brand new with QuickWindow case. I cannot wait to put my O2 sim card in it. Just waiting for it to arrive here. I have a feeling it will be here in Nov tho . That is too long to wait
Edit - We have been delayed as I was going to buy it from Expansys and their ETA was 1 day and now its 6 days

i also preordered with the carphone warhouse...i spoke to them this afternoon also and was told that they have them in the warehouse now. Around 3,000 handsets and that the couldnt access them on the system but was told they will be packaged up and sent over the course of this evening. Should get a dispatch email.text early tomo morning!? they said worst case i should get it wednesday.
Lets see i really hope they do start shipping them out for delivery tomo!

Its amazing how one person can tell you one thing and the next another lol She even tried to encourage me to cancel my order. She went away to ask a manger and she even raised a ticket to "higher up" to see why they advertised the phone for the 1st October when they knew they wouldn't be available,Id be amazed if i had a delivery email from them this week and i know this has happened before with them on the HTC One! Fingers crossed

For some reason LG don't treat the UK market with Respect on most of there items. I bought a LG smart tv and i had to wait nearly 2 month for them to ship me a magic remote. Yeah i saw the delay with Expansys and clove today

I'm in Australia and have had one on preorder from an aussie supplier here for about a week. I just got the despatch email this morning saying it was on it's way ..... from Hong Kong!!!
Maybe they are delays getting them shipped out in large volumes overseas?

Just spoke to carphone warehouse and they now have it in stock! being shipped for delivery tomo! although without the free printer and case as this is not in stock yet and i would have to wait for that to come in stock before they could send the phone! seems like a convenient way of delaying the order.

Just cancelled my order with cpw as I was told again this morning they won't have any stock till next week ?
Just popped down to my local three store that have them instock and bought myself one.
I won't be using CPW anytime soon !

Just ordered one on the clove website. £455 (great price) and the window case comes free with it so I couldnt resist and I need a replacment for my 5S has its going back soon.
