Anyone know if/when t-mobile corporate stores will start getting their store demo units in? In the past they've always gotten a new device in a week or so before launch. It'd be nice to check it out in store prior to ordering from the play store.

I just talked to T-Mobile today and they said they'll probably get them a day or two before - but won't put them out on display until the 13th. I got a nice salesperson that offered to call me when they come in and let me feel it before release! :laugh: Check with your local store and maybe you'll get lucky.

^^ Same here. The 1 store near me (downtown Denver) has absolutely no idea what's going on with their launch of the Nexus 4. One employee knew what I was talking about and said he planned on ordering his unlocked tomorrow as well but said there has been no internal communication regarding display units or availability.
I just got off the phone with one by where I work in minneapolis, and they said they should have it out tomorrow or the next day.
they told me the 14th..i live in miami btw
officially on sale wednesday morning. instore only! lol. can't wait.

Man, I just ordered mine yesterday online and it arrived today (free overnight shipping) ...Phew, that was close!
i had called up 3 different sprint stores and this is what i was told
store 1: sold out, will get new shipment either friday or tuesday
store 2: sold out, taking deposit to reserve one (45 people already on list)
store 3: had few in stock (Silver Spring, MD)

Here in Ohio no better, Went to best buy with my buddy, was quoted as Evo shippment tomorrow and now it's been moved to a nice lovely ambiguous "sometime from wednesday to friday" Here's hoping sooner rather than later but oh well. Here's hoping we can survive the great evo shortage of 2010! (*side note* kinda regretting not pre-ordering sooner, I was 8 people into the 2nd batch forcing me to wait an extra week. BAH!)
its good news, i just wished they had more accessories on launch day!
Decided to give in and pick one of these up yesterday. Couldnt find one in stock anywhere. This morning I was prepared to call every Radio Shack in the area. The 1st one I called said someone just took themselves off the list and that they had one available. I put my name on it, and picked it up 20 minutes later.
I have 2 friends that got theirs this same way. I did pre order one for my girlfriend though while I was there and she will be getting it on Friday.
I just got mine today and I had to call 8 or so sprint stores to find one in stock, ends up the store I got mine at had 10 in stock still from the first shipment and they had given a lot of their first order of 300 to other area stores. Once I got there it took them about 2 and a half hours to activate the flippin thing, my voice and 4g connected but my 3g never came up, took them forever to sort it out. They actually had to activate two evos to figure the problem out. I got 2 boxes and goodies out of the deal though, I am in the kc area too.
Which Sprint store was this? Im also in the KC area and have a few friends wondering if anyone has them in stock. Sounds like that store may be worth a shot.

i ordered mine online last night at 11pm central time and it was available waiting for it to come now ughhhh!!!!! all i have been doing is making lists of apps and what i want to try (been a windows mobile guy since the tilt days currently have a HTC Touch Pro 2 unlocked gotta sell that once my EVO comes in cant wait
Which Sprint store was this? Im also in the KC area and have a few friends wondering if anyone has them in stock. Sounds like that store may be worth a shot.

I scooped mine up from the studio Sprint store, downtown in the power and light district, like 14th and grand, also I got a call from the Sprint store that I was on a waiting list at and they had one for me, i was number 15 I believe.

I was going to order it online last night and then dumb me second guessed myself and decided to see if i could get lucky in a store today. Now I realize that was a very stupid idea.
how are some of you getting overnight delivery; i placed my order around 12pm PST yesterday and i still haven't received a delivery notification or any updates; it still says waiting in the warehouse for processing; this is annoying me since it's supposed to be overnight delivery

Some of us ordered nearly a month ago when Best Buy first posted these on their site, to avoid any release day sell-outs.
Mine shipped this afternoon, from Hodgkins, IL FWIW. I may be returning it though since it was $199 when we ordered back then, and bestbuy.com customer service hasn't responded to my inquiry to adjust the price rather than both sides dealing with the hassle of return and repurchase.
Um, we are talking Nexus S here, there was no danger of release day sellouts.
Wow, I ordered through Sprint by phone on Sunday afternoon and will be receiving mine by the end of the day.

What do you mean incompetence? If you mean since they sold it to you today. They upped the release date from Tuesday to today.
I thought BEST BUYS site was full of it..... the in-store option said "Available Now"

Picked mine up this afternoon, Willow Grove, PA Best Buy, they're sold out now. I had it preordered already online for delivery, got the email at like 4am this morning saying the release date of a product you ordered had changed. I thought "well, looks like they probably pushed it back to a later release in August or something..." Then I saw that it was released today, so I went online to see if they were available for in-store pickup. Sure enough they were. Now I have the one I bought and the one coming via UPS. Now I'm hoping I can just take the one I got delivered and return it to the store with the receipt from the in-store pickup one so I'm not stuck with two.
Does anyone know when or if this is going to get its own forum?
Update: You can return an online order to any Best Buy, per their return policy. "Avoid shipping charges and receive a refund more quickly by returning your items to any Best Buy store within the United States."

I pre ordered my G2 about a month ago and rang Car phone warehouse to confirm my delivery for tomorrow which they did state at the time of ordering that i would receive the phone on the 1st October. The lady dealing with me put me on hold and came back a few minutes later and told me that no stock had been received and it will be a few weeks before they start to ship them out.
Has anyone else pre ordered and found out that the phone has been delayed?
all over the Netherlands thats the case. I got mine by sheer luck. Was searching all merchants and found one awesome one that had it in stock. maybe with luck you can do the same.
I was looking for the Z1 last Friday in the Netherlands, at the mediamarkt They didn't have any, however by surprise, the lg g2 was already available and in stock.by the looks of the device and the fact the screen is superb I immediately got one on contract. They only had 2 though, so i guess there isn't a lot in stock, since the major Dutch providers, and phonestores don't present it as in stock. Lg Netherlands however posted a tweet that both the 16 and the 32 gb version should be available this week.

I got my one ordered back home (Dubai) for £300. Brand new with QuickWindow case. I cannot wait to put my O2 sim card in it. Just waiting for it to arrive here. I have a feeling it will be here in Nov tho . That is too long to wait
Edit - We have been delayed as I was going to buy it from Expansys and their ETA was 1 day and now its 6 days

Around 3,000 handsets and that the couldnt access them on the system but was told they will be packaged up and sent over the course of this evening. Should get a dispatch email.text early tomo morning!? they said worst case i should get it wednesday.
Lets see i really hope they do start shipping them out for delivery tomo!

Its amazing how one person can tell you one thing and the next another lol She even tried to encourage me to cancel my order. She went away to ask a manger and she even raised a ticket to "higher up" to see why they advertised the phone for the 1st October when they knew they wouldn't be available,Id be amazed if i had a delivery email from them this week and i know this has happened before with them on the HTC One! For some reason LG don't treat the UK market with Respect on most of there items. I bought a LG smart tv and i had to wait nearly 2 month for them to ship me a magic remote. Yeah i saw the delay with Expansys and clove today

I'm in Australia and have had one on preorder from an aussie supplier here for about a week. I just got the despatch email this morning saying it was on it's way ..... from Hong Kong!!!
Maybe they are delays getting them shipped out in large volumes overseas?
Just spoke to carphone warehouse and they now have it in stock! being shipped for delivery tomo! although without the free printer and case as this is not in stock yet and i would have to wait for that to come in stock before they could send the phone! seems like a convenient way of delaying the order.

Just cancelled my order with cpw as I was told again this morning they won't have any stock till next week ?
Just popped down to my local three store that have them instock and bought myself one.
I won't be using CPW anytime soon !

Just ordered one on the clove website. £455 (great price) and the window case comes free with it so I couldnt resist and I need a replacment for my 5S has its going back soon.

According to Des on Twitter, one of the reasons for the delay was to make sure all locations were able to get a demo phone. As the leaked list showed, only 2/3 of locations were even getting a demo, and only 1/3 were getting sellable stock.

I called today because at one point there were rumors demos might show up today & was told they were expecting demos tomorrow & only 32GB MBlue but I'd definitely call again before heading there..

I want the largest available.. 64GB in this case (I'd take 128GB if it were available) so I'm not going to find it tomorrow but hope to get it before Xmas..

Speaking to one of my friends who also works at T-Mobile today around 9PM EST he told me the email they received was no sale in store but they can direct ship from the store to the customer. I asked he got no email of delayed launch and he said not today maybe if it does it will come in tomorrow. He's a trust worthy guy and knows what hes talking about just as crazy about this stuff as me.

I just called 611 from T-Mobile and they are not letting you order the phone over the phone. So if a store will let you buy one then you are lucky and jump on it. But I highly doubt that anyone from t mobile is going to sell it earlier.

Just like any business, you have a plan. Moto promised them stock for the date they planned. Looks like Moto failed to deliver for whatever reason (could've been a manufacturing issue)

Amazon notified me yesterday that the Spigen cases I ordered were "shipped by Spigen" and would be arriving 11/25-28.
Well, this is what I get for not checking the N6 forums yesterday. Stopped by the store and they didn't even know about the delay until I asked about the phone. That's when the rep saw the internal memo saying the launch was pushed back. It's complete BS to push back a launch date the day before. They already knew there was limited supply.
