Works for linux too, but you have to change the scripts. Essentially, you are flashing boot.img and recovery.img, but skipping system.img.
Then you use the stock recovery to load the stock firmware and blammo- back to stock. You can use the 8445 firmware version if you want to go back to stock 3.1.
D802 stock, rooted, with TWRP.
To get OTA I need to have a stock recovery. So how do I get rid of twrp? Do I have to flash new system with kdz file?
the only way to get stock recovery is to go back to stock entirely and start from scratch
Anyone has the stock recovery for Note 4 5.0.1? Wanted to try to restore the stock recovery to re-enable OTA updates so that I can upgrade to 5.1.1 without downloading the official stock from sammobile.
I unrooted my phone and flashed it back to NI2 using Odin and wiped all my data. Can I, while still in this mode, flash the latest stock rom with odin (Lollipop BPB1)?

If you want the latest stock rom (unrooted) just take the Ota or you can download and Odin. If you need root rom , just root , install recovery and use safestrap and install the latest root pb1 rom.

You can, but then you can never downgrade back to NI2.
If instead you want to retain the ability to downgrade, you can either 1) root the NI2, install SafeStrap, and then install a rooted PB1 ROM, or 2) Use Odin to flash a modified PB1 stock image that has a BOD5 bootloader.
I only have supersu installed, how can I get Nougat update without wiping?
Flash the same Stock firmware you have on your device and this shouldn't wipe it.
