Hi,
Im a noob so pls dont get too angry.
I have LG g2 d801 with PA 6.0.3, it had no root access so I flashed super su 2.46 (https:// download .chainfire .eu / 696/ supersu/) (I had to put spaces since im new url's are blocked)
Im stuck in boot animation screen now. I know how to get out but I want to know to get root access. Help is greatly appreciated. I have reflashed multiple times and formatted and restarted from scratch, nothing works. If anyone has a solution to get root access I would greatly appreciate it.

You have to use the bump script first and then flash SuperSU 2.6x. It's right here.
THANK YOU

Hello,
I installed chainfire 3D ( Yes I know I should have read that jelly bean was no compatible) and am now stuck on the boot screen of my phone. I have got the factory hard reset menu up but don't know what to do apart from that. I have checked on other threads and they are all really confusing for a person that is new to android. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also can I just permanently erase user data or will this brick my phone?

No worries any help at this moment is appreciated haha. I just downloaded the stock rom and yep im in the recovery bootup thanks to this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUwi4YZWbyk
Once I download the stock rom what how do I install it. I don't mind deleting all the stuff of my phone I just want it to work.
If you had cwm you can use adb to remove the .apk via recovery.. twrp even made it easier by having a file explorer inside the recovery..
But if you haven't installed them both i'm afraid you're out of luck..

Recovering your phone at this point wont help you at all my friend :/ you have officially bricked your phone sadly this is beyond my level of expertise in the smartphone world i would take it to a local rooting/roming buisiness on craigslist or i think cricket will do it... call them up and let them know your problem detail for detail they will probobly tell you you soft bricked your phone there is a slight chance they may be able to fix it for 15-50 dollars depending on how bad it is
Can you still get into TWRP or CWM recovery?
If so then you can probably still use an adb interface to push a ROM.zip file to your phone to flash. If you cant then Im not sure how you would go about fixing because we do not have an unlocked bootloader so I do not think you will be able to use fastboot commands to flash a ROM. Maybe someone more knowledgable in this can help you out better than I.
same thing with me
Dude the same thing had happened to me on my gionee p3 and i tried everything but u have to just take it to the service centre and i got mine done for free as i had a warranty but if u dont u will have to pay and also this happens when u download **** things that take the main startup programs of ur phone
.....so best of luck
So I've rooted devices before, but this is all new to me. Its been a few years so please forgive me.
I have a LG G2 V980 from Verizon. So far I've managed to root with ioroot post 4.4.2 update. I have the Rom I want on my' sdcard' or whatever you want to call the root. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to actually flash it (is that the right term for installing a rom?).
I believe my issue is in the recovery. The guide for the Rom says to use twrp but I don't seem to understand how to install that either. I've used flashify and Rom manager But to no avail. When it does boot into it, or at least I think I am, there is an error message about authenticity then a blank screen.
Does anyone know what's going on here or can point me in the direction I need?
Thank you all for the help.

INSTALL costume recovery like twrp o cwm tar file for qualcomm chipset devices with odin
HIT THE THANK BOUTTON IF I HELP:good:
Cyanogenmod reminds me that there's an update available for my device but as I go ahead it reboots and tries to install the updates but kinda crashes or is not successful on getting its Job done.. And eather way further doesn't make any change. I tried both. It keeps reminding me about the new update I'm not very familiar with that stuff and would appreciate any help thanks in advance
I think you have lost your root access. Go to settings, developersoptions and you will see root access and choose app and adb.
No, root has nothing to do with this. I think your recovery is outdated. CWM is not being developed anymore if I'm not mistaken. Use TWRP recovery.
It's either that ore you have a faulty download.
Hello, I tried to root via magisk patched boot image route and I attempted to load into slot A and slot B but no method worked. All roads lead to a soft brick even if I load boot images uploaded on here. If anyone has a working root method I would love to hear it. If there is already a post on this just link me to it please, I looked and could not find one that worked
