MiLauncher for Tablets​
I'm proud to announce the overhaul of the MIUI Launcher for Tablets.
It's been a very long time since I've updated the project, as when I left it, (due to not owning a tablet any more) I believed that it was working as I had intended on Tablets, sadly, as of Android 4.3 that was no longer the case.
With the release of Android 4.4 I obtained another tablet and decided to update the project. This is the result of my work, my research and the help of a few others, who will be mentioned below.
Please, provide feedback, hit thanks, and most importantly, enjoy it. Please understand that this is currently in beta, the bugs that it currently contains are all small graphical quality of life ones, and I'll be getting right on those.
As someone who is studying full time, please understand that I don't have a lot of free time, but I'll do my best to update this regularly and respond to any concerns or issues you may have.
I do not give permission for my work to be redistributed, direct linked or posted anywhere else other then XDA-developers.com or en.miui.com forums. Anyone who shares this must post a link to this thread and give credit.

Bug or Graphical Issue / Work around
Beta 1:
The weather clock 4x2, Clock 2x1 and Clock 2x2 do not appear graphically correct on the HP Touchpad.
> Pending further feedback from other devices.
In the Launcher Settings -> Launcher: There is text that does not appear in english.
>This is the Hide Apps With a Pin Function.
Static Wallpapers seem blurred when using this launcher on the HP Touchpad.
> Pending further feedback from other devices, not sure if this is device specific or not, Live Wallpapers Seem to Work Fine.
There is text that does not appear in english in the themes market
Obviously as the market stuff is server side, I can't change that, however there may be a few local images > Pending further investigation.
MIUI Express Locker is terribly scaled, low res and buggy
> Disable Express Locker, which is stated in the install instructions anyway.
This is something I'm still looking into and I'm not sure if I can fix it, generally it's about as buggy and slow as most lock screen replacements anyway,
not sure if they've improved that from the last time I used MiHome on a phone > Pending further investigation.
If you have an issue be it graphical or performance based, the first step is to make sure it isn't a bug from your rom,
if you've excluded that possibility post in the main thread, for me to be able to do anything with it, you must include;

The problem.
If you haven't followed the install instructions below, don't expect me to do anything to resolve your issue until you do.
Part 1:
Download and Install MiHome-Step1.apk
Once the launcher loads slide up from above the nav bar and hit "Launcher Settings."
Scroll down the options until you find "Cell Layout Type"
Hit it and select the option that suits your device best
Please choose wisely because you'll need to re-install the app to change this.
Part 2
Download and Install ZSC.mihome.BX.apk, (X being the latest version number)
You will be prompted to update MiHome, obviously confirm it.
Once MiHome loads, you may or may not notice a rather mangled looking clock widget.
I am aware of this and for the moment, delete it.
Head into launcher settings, if you don't have a physical menu button look in the next section.
Hit the "Lockscreen" option, uncheck "Use MiHome Locker",
this is the lockscreen replacement Xiaomi includes with the launcher.
It doesn't play well with larger screens or landscape as of the moment
Optional But Very Recommended
If you do not have a physical menu key,
long press an empty part of the screen and hit the "Toolbox" icon.
Select the "Launcher Settings" icon on the far right.
You'll see the icon is on your home screen, open the settings.
Hit the "Launcher" option, look down at the last option "Choose Swipe Up Gesture Function"
Hit it and select the last option "Swipe up to open Menu."
Now you can view all your options by sliding up from above the nav bar again!
If your transitions seem slow, or strange when changing home pages,
Head into "Launcher Settings", Hit Launcher
Hit "Screen Transition Effects" and select something other than "Classic",
This is optional, but Classic looks silly and makes the launcher seem less fluid.
It may also appear strangely on some devices.

Try formatting /system prior to flashing..

Can I install this rom using CWM? Is TWRP manadatory to flash this rom as in installation guide only TWRP has been mentioned?

Wow..let's give this a test.
Edit: A lot of options are missing like intellidemand governor and other performance options...
P.S. For those having trouble downloading from baidu use a free vpn service, at least it worked for me.

Is it in your plans a kernel with the features mentioned above?(intellidemand 5.0, 81 mhz minimum frequency etc.)

Abonormal battery consumption after 2 days. The first 2 days, this rom had the best battery life over Xda. Also newest adreno driver gives glitch when playng youtube videos directly on browser.

AT first, is there any mirror? It takes hours to download via baidu, please provide some! Please
Is there a lot of chinese in this version, or there is an option to fully switch to English?

Fabulous!
After one week testing this ROM, i have to give the respect for the battery economy. After i install Wajk Performance Control, and set it at 810Mhz (after ART is all i need to do EVERYthing), this ROM kept my battery alive, for more and more hours (days) than every other ROM, it's so good that i can said that it's better than Mokee! Unbelievable.
Tottaly recommend, 5 stars to 5 and here the bugs
Firefox FC when try to play video, (CM Browser works fine)
In Lockscreen when i swype to CALLS, nothing happens, it just unlock the phone
In Horizon (the horizontal camera app) it never kept horizontal, i mean the sensor is not calibrated right, in WIUI v6 everything works just fine, but in your ROM the sensor has five degrees declination
The BIG bug is that there is no integrated music player so with poweramp and other players it's impossible to open an MP3 with file manager

What is Edge Sense Plus?
You should already be familiar what Edge Sense is. By squeezing your device, it lets you perform some minor actions.
Edge Sense Plus extends those actions and adds some more features for you.
How does Edge Sense Plus work?
It is a simple app you install from playstore, linked at the bottom.
To get it working, you enable Advanced Mode'in the native Edge Sense Settings and select "Launch App" as custom action for both short and long squeeze
and pick the appropriate Edge Sense Plus Activity.
When the app starts the first time you'll get those instructions step by step again.

What can it do?

Per app actions:
With the per app action, you can define different squeeze actions per app. So the chosen action will be executed dependent in what app you are currently are.
Double Squeeze: (Premium)
If you often accidentally trigger a short squeeze, that won't happen anymore if you map your desired action to the double squeeze gesture.
You can define a double squeeze interval, to ensure you are quick enough to trigger it every time.
G-Sensor usage:
If enabled, will be able to execute different actions depending on the current position of your device, whether it is flat or upright in your hand.
That way you can have six different squeeze gestures: short, long, doublepress in flat or upright device position.
Magisk system mod:
The magisk system mod replaces the native Edge Sense app and allows customizations on lowest level. That makes it possible to:
Execute actions while the screen is off/locked
Have pocket detection (disables edge sense when the proximity sensor is blocked)
Customize the colors of the feedback graphics
Media control:
The media control will override your set squeeze actions while media is playing so you can control your media.
That includes play/pause, increase/decrease volume and skip to next and previous track.
Squeeze sounds:
Ever thought it would be funny if a squeeze of your U11 would make a sound, if it is a *click*, *oink* or whatever you think of?
You can use any .mp3 file to make that happen!

We have that for real! Our Sidebar has three different panels, Applications, Recent Apps (Premium), Quicksettings (Premium).
You will also be able to customize the panel color to any color you like.

no i talk about notification that arrived at notification bar or lock screen. i want to swipe down notification for read more and fast reply like newly announced notification shade feature in miui 9 but dont released yet.

Think there is any way to run FGO on this ROM? You ( or devs ) nearly tackled all problems I had with Miui roms, but because of the "special" root simply unrooting and removing SuperSU is not enough.
