Just FYI, hopefully we are next... we will see..
Where did you get your information from because I just looked on a few credible sites like phonearena.com, androidauthority.com & androidpolice.com and I do not see any mention of Sprint Note 4 getting the official Lollipop update.
I know the T-Mobile Note 3 recently got the update. Maybe Sprint just got the update for the Note 3 as well.

Wonder how hard it would be to port the ROM for T-Mobile. Kind of surprised we haven't seen any 5.0 ports yet.
Probably won't get ported, it'll be here before you know it now..

At this point, a port isnt even necessary. By the time it was done, we'd have Official already. In the past, there have only been ports of international versions since they come so early.
Official T Mobile Lollipop shouldn't be too long off now.

Perhaps, but the tracking site on T-Mobile still shows the update in "Manufacture Development" So, it hasn't even started the T-Mobile testing process yet.

I doubt that site is accurate.
That isn't that accurate. It says the Note 3 is still in testing and it dropped yesterday. I'm not sure how often they update the site.

Lol, suckers or not...I want that lollipop update just to see what samsung has done differently...tmobile making this hard.
Right now its matter of wanting the new thing despite knowing how jacked up it is. Lollipop been a bundle of bugs since 5.0.0 and I believe they are releasing 5.1?

Just spoke with T-Mobile regarding this. Advised that I was curious how and why it showed still in manufacturer development whereas many international carriers as well as Sprint have the update pushed. Explained that it would stand to reason that it shouldn't show that status. The agent went on to state that T-Mobile is working on finishing it up now.
Okay, so, this tells me one of a few things. 1 - Their site is not updated and T-Mobile has it or 2 - They have yet to receive it from the manufacturer. I would have to lean towards option 1 but that is purely speculation based on nothing more than stupid hope! However, their choice of wording has me interested and hopeful. They would not give any sort of a date, only to say that they were trying to make sure it was running smoothly.
FWIW.

Oh, and one more thing I thought about. Some of you veterans around here have a much better idea about this than myself. Is it possible they are nearly ready but don't want to dedicate the bandwidth to pushing it to both the Note 3 (which as I understand was just pushed) AND the Note 4 at the same time (the mentality being them not wanting THAT many users all pulling an update at the same time, slowing things to a crawl)?

I doubt that is the case. If memory serves me right, the note 3 and the gs4 both receive kitkat at the same time. I personally think it just arrived late for them and they were not done with it in time. If you look at it, only sprint got the note 4 update out right now. Verizon nor ATT made any noise on it...and verizon was first to drop lollipop in the US with the Gs5

You can not root 5.0 or 4.4.4 nor can you downgrade to a rootable version.
If you are on 4.4.2 or lower. ..then it can be rooted but you can never upgrade to a higher rev OS

I hate lollipop I want kitkat back! Or at least the option to choose. I currently have a Nexus 6 all complete with unlocked bootloader as well as rooted, and its nice. The only thing I don't like is I'm stuck with lollipop sad but kitkat is almost obsolete. Iv had my N6 for about 7 months and I'm thinking about getting somthing different. I will be buying from swappa because that's were I got my nexus and they have great prices. I'm on Verizon been with them for about 3 yrs but am seriously thinking about switching carriers because GSM has more options as far as root goes hope that makes sense, lol. I want a device that I can at least root, I want the note 3 or 4 or 5. I would prefer to stay with CDMA if I can but if need be I can switch. I need help picking out a good device with at least a 5.7" and rootable.

Doesn't the new N6P come stock lollipop? I busted my nexus 6 a few weeks ago and now I'm out of a phone. My son kicked his football over a high wall I had on a pair of shorts with my N6 in my pocket and when I jumped over the wall it flew outa my pocket . Unfortunately when it came outa my pocket it landed screen first into some rock's. It's dead 'crying'. I had to call Verizon and get insurance on the device. Bad thing is I gotta wait a month before I can file a claim for a new device because when you first start the insurance you gotta wait a while. I'm using my old HTC one max with a damaged SIM card slot, so I can only use it on WiFi...Needless to say I'm gonna be without a device untill I can use my vzw insurance. The N6P is an ok device but I really like the note 4. When I get my replacement N6 I am gonna sell it and use that money for a note 4. I would like to get a Sprint note 4 and then use it on VZW if that's possible.
Kit Kat all the way!

Title says it all actually!
Recently I've been having issues with my Note 4. I'll be in a perfect signal area, full signal everything firing on all cylinders...except when people call me I don't get the calls.
And attempting to call anyone back, results in my call sitting there counting down the timer until it times out and ends the call.
So I recently unlocked my Note 4 Retail bootloader (CID conversion). Rooted, and am running stock upgrade 5.1.1 which I grabbed from the Development section here for our phones.
Same deal as before.
Shame too, this phone is running so smoothly too, the best it ever has.
Have tried flashing stock FW through Odin 3.10.6, and not converting the CID or rooting, no dice.
Can't make phone calls, can't receive phone calls.
My sim card is fine as well, it was working about 4 or 5 days ago prior.
Didn't know where else to post this problem, have searched for hours (maybe in the wrong places?) and have no progress to show for it. This phone is my daily driver and I have no other, nor the cash to pay for a replacement from VZW right now.
Are there any settings I can change, or something I missed? Did I flash the wrong 5.1.1 upgrade file in Odin? I'll link to the one I used specifically.

I'm not sure if Paulpizz's OP was updated but I'm using his most recent update that is posted on page 7 of the thread. ROM is stable and clean. With Xposed installed I'd have to say it is the best ROM available. His ongoing support for the ROM is amazing. Just waiting for him to port some Note 5 features.

Hate this happened to you as well, but feel a bit relieved at least one other person has dealt with this.
I'll try wiping everything completely again and see what happens. But I'm pretty sure VZW have stopped service on my Note 4 in particular...
It's a long story no one is interested in, but I actually got my Note 4 for free from a relative.
I worked out a deal where I repaired and rooted a couple phones for him, and he gave me his old Note 4...which unfortunately he lost at work, received a replacement, then the old one turned up a week later on the job site he was working at...then gave that phone to me, so if anyone is familiar with similar situations such as this, that basically means the phone was blacklisted (lost or stolen list).
Can't get a new sim card for it either, that's how I found out about all this the other day. Got 8 months use out of it though...can't complain too much.
Longer story short, ended up spending my first paycheck from the new job on a Nexus 6 today, be here in a few days probably...
The Note 4 is going to be my media player though, due to sd-card slot and all .
Thanks for the replies everyone!
So I recently signed up for the Beta Program (a second time) and I let it download (what i assumed would be DP5) Android N.
I went ahead and let it install, everything went smoothly as expected. Once it installed and booted, i checked to see what Build
it installed and it was DP4. I did the install 2 days after DP5 was released. Now it will not update to DP5...It says I'm currently up to
date.
Should i be patient and expect it to update or will i have to force update it? (which i do not want to do)
Thanks in advance

AHHH..... ok, so this makes sense. I received dev 1-4 pretty much instantly on my 6P. Dev5... nothing... my Nexus 9 got the ota about 1 day after it was released... ok, so trouble with 6P.. I bet one batch of OTAs went out, then they pulled the OTA..
however, it's interesting that the 6P factory image for dev5 is still there? so, maybe just an OTA issue. hmmmm.. is the OTA for Dev5 for 6P still downloadable?

I'm not too sure if the OTA is still available but I did read on here a few people side loaded the OTA and are having problems with recovery and with apps not working. I was thinking the same thing about it being an OTA issue. I am only speaking what I read not from experience so take it for what it is. I can speak from experience though that before you install anything on your phone especially dp's it's good to read up first and if there are a few people having problems then it might be good to wait. Or take the chance if you are confident you can recover from a nuclear attack on your phone.
I would wait. I'm on DP4 also and since the OTA was pulled, it might be better to stick it out. I'm sure they want this as close to the final build as possible. Hang in there!

There are definitely issues with the Nexus 6P build. I side loaded it on Monday and I've had problems ever since, particularly with performance. I'm actually glad to hear about this delay, because that probably means they're working on an updated build for the 6P. I hope it comes sooner rather than later, because I don't know if I can handle the jank much longer.
I sideloaded the OTA as well, but haven't had any issues at all. Even Android Pay works, which is surprising...
Same here (France), device still up to date.
A little off topic, but does anyone have a link to the DP4 image file? I went to download it but it seems I can only download DP5 from Google and it says it will take 8 hours and nothing downloads. Assuming because they pulled it...?
I just got the OTA
I have 2 more weeks to return the phone... The phone it's great ( price, build quality , screen resolution ... Battery life got way better Whit time and some apps disable) but it looks like ZTE will never release the factory images for us to play Whit the phone as we like on a way would hate to return it back....
So its that's the case I don't see any other phone worth buying now but going back to the nexus 6p since the upcoming nexus by htc looks more like a downgrade [emoji29] ...
Would you guys consider a downgrade going back to the. 6p ? I saw them at 399 the 64 gigs on Amazon last weeks and I think I should of got it at that price ?

I know there is a new big update coming (base on comments and reply from ZTE Community) and this update may bring the factory image we want, that's the only reason i see why they haven't release a factory image for us to play with, beside CM 13.1 is just days away or less.

Return it is my advice. Never get a phone based on possible "future" features or upgrades. Don't get stuck with a phone you hate because of wishful thinking that didn't pan out. I been down that path and it's a waste of time.
I have also my concerns with that phone. If we don't have prospect of custom ROMs based on CM or AOSP it is quite useless (for me).
Unfortunately there is not much development going on until now... maybe it's getting better as soon as the deives are everywhere available but maybe not, who knows....
fact is everything is going slow in comparison to other devices mainly caused by ZTE itself
Its going back tomorrow ?

Slow? The phone has only been out a month and limited at that. We've already got root. You haven't had a phone on day one much have you? This is fast compared to other non Nexus devices.

If you look at the previous gen Axon http://forum.xda-developers.com/zte-axon, mirrors this forum.
You have root, twrp but no custom roms. Keep this device for it's current list of features that's what you get for a $400 phone. You want custom rom, then Nexus 6P or OP3 will have plenty of custom roms to choose from.

6p ? I saw them at 399 the 64 gigs on Amazon last weeks and I think I should of got it at that price

im in the same boat but reversed. i just bought the 6p from bestbuy a week ago. its ok but the battery life on 7.0 is subpar and the lcd is pretty bad. the axon 7 looks to offer more bang for the buck. im contemplating exchanging mine today for the grey axon i see is in stock. custom roms will come in time, you have root and an unlocked bootloader.
Edit: just bought the grey axon. reset my 6p and ill be at best buy at 11am.

congrats on settling in. I'm sure you made the correct decision. I'm at your decision-making point regarding my OnePlus One. I've owned a ZTE desktop for 5 years, their customer (based on one call) was excellent. (toll-free 24/7 Lifetime). Maybe different for cellular. I'm sure you will give your impression and I'll look forward to them.
I assume they're immediately available at BestBuy?

Only 2 local best buys had the axon 7 grey available. less than 3 in stock. thats why i bought this morning. these devices are hard to get and are sold out everywhere.
I'm in the same boat but with op3. Not sure if I wanna go back to it yet.

I just received mine yesterday. Maybe I would like it better rooted and all haha. Could you help me root mine? I couldn't figure out how to use that program. And could I indoor if I wanted to?(if I ever resell). What's the purpose of BL unlock if you can root with locked bootloader ?

Also one thing I hate is that the Dolby Atmos changes sound profile ..for example if I chose my custom profile and scroll through Instagram it changes to the movie profile ..

just follow the steps there to unlock and get twrp installed. rooting is easy, you just flash the supersu zip in recovery.

Am I able to fastboot oem lock when I am done with the phone ? For resell ..so the next owner can get ota? If not if I rooted with locked bootloader could I still get ota?
sadly i returned mine today and got a 4gb ram model g4+. i loved the axon's look and feel but the software is junk and i had nothing but issues with overheating and random reboots, loosing wifi and iemi. ive learned a valuable lesson. only buy phones with stock android.
