I was most recent on the latest LeeDroid and I flashed a theme (pure view)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/themes/darkui-themes-maurydes-t3388481/page1
After flashing the theme, I lost 4G. I RUU'ed back to stock but still have no 4G. Not sure what to do. Please help.
Is it normal to have this listed in Verizon network settings?? This is after the RUU..

Thanks for the reply. What would cause me to loose 4G. I've RUUed twice and still can't get it at all. I'm getting 4G perfectly fine on my old M8.

I did another RUU with factory reset still no 4G. I ran those fastboot commands and got an error message.
I'm on the M8 right now. Put the sim card in and have strong 4G. I'm really frustrated. I'm not sure what I did to my 10 or how to fix it [emoji20]

Take out the _. Those commands were for the m9.
When you are successful you will see the partition erased.. no error.

I took the battery out, and then went and wiped and reformatted my SD chip, reloaded the zip image to flash but it wasn't showing through the recovery menu, so I booted and it went further in 1 minute than it did in 15 without redoing the SD chip. Just no internet....
Reflashing right now.
I flashed to the new rom, have I lost my root, do I have to re-root my phone?
because I am trying to install fonts I had on my old rom, and I keep getting the following error
downloading 'boot.img'... failed (remote: not allow)
I've had the same issues with my phone when flashing
To DamageControl. The only one that worked for ne was DamageControl 2.02. And it
Was so buggy I flashed back to modoco
If you're trying to push files you'll have to do

Ive backed up and restored twice now with no problems, did you completely wipe and factory reset? You have to do it in that order.
I forgot, and just restored. But that shoulnd't cause bootloops. Ive used TWRP before on gnexus. what did you learn from your first bootloop error? I saw you had many posts. What have you changed to fix that ?

This isnt the Gnex, i know what you mean, this phones recovery method doesnt work the same as the nexus.
I learned this from other people's trial and error actually from this very g2 forum. With this device it requires a complete wipe and then a factory reset.otherwise boot loops will occur.

in your experience, has how you flashed TWRP mattered? What about how you booted into recovery? I recall you bricked not trying to restore. is wiping the only thing you changed to prevent the boot loop?

Yes, ive had one bootloop from using TWRP but a full wipe and FR resolved this issue. I did brick once by taking the verizon OTA while having TWRP. But that was a month ago and I tried to restore from my backup to no avail though. This was fixed by the devs. Anyway bottom line when I ran into bootloop issues I just did this methodology and it worked, its def different from how we use TWRP on the Gnex.
Is this what your asking about or no?
I ran into the same problem but fixed it using the method in "go back to stock" thread. The mistake I made was that I chose to format my internal storage in the wipe menu so i couldn't restore either lol.

Holy Crapshoot that was easy... how do you reboot into recovery using hardware buttons on this thing?
I use the clockwork mod app .. if you use the hard buttons I think you have to choose the factory reset option and then that will take you to recovery. .. I have not used that method. .. just what I have read. .. vol down and power. .please research that first

Let me start off by saying I apologize if this is posted somewhere already.
Here's my situation. A couple days ago I lgflashed back to stock. All went well. I then rooted and installed TWRP. No issues at all. I didn't take an update, modify the stock ROM or even flash another ROM. Just ran stock rooted. Today, I pick my phone up, go to turn it on and I'm in recovery. No big deal, right? Well I can't get out of TWRP. My backups are still showing, but when I restore it and reboot the phone I'm right back in recovery.
I can't get into download mode either. Not sure what happened and everything was fine earlier in the day. Any thoughts?

I'm so glad your back up and running again. I've been following your thread. And thanks for sharing the fix.
Does that mean that without your knowledge, your phone may have probably automatically updated itself (OTA) when you left your phone overnight? That's why you were stucked in recovery? Because it seems so odd that you didn't do anything wrong and it suddenly behaved that way. And I have read somewhere here that OTA just installed itself automatically without user intervention. So confusing if that did happen. How is that even possible?

All in all, it looks like root's on its way! Please keep posing any root/unlock related info you see and I'll keep this updated.
UPDATE: It appears that they've achieved root on the T-Mobile variant and a tool should be forthcoming.
No word yet on whether or not this applies to us, but here's hoping!
Video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zlieyd9CP7Q
EDIT: It's confirmed, the bootloader on all of the snapdragon G5's is locked down tight.
It looks like there's not much we can do until someone figures out a way to crack the bootloader.
Sooo, it appears we've got the "Enable OEM unlock" option in our Developer Settings, but so far I've not been able to get the phone into Fastboot mode to actually perform the unlock.
I do have the following observations if they'll help anyone:
With the phone powered off, the following options are available:
Power+Volume Down - Boot to Recovery
Power+Volume Up+Volume Down - Displays Phone Identity (IMEI, etc.)
Volume Up+Connect to PC - Download Mode
Attempting to reboot to bootloader via adb command or from the stock recovery results in a normal system boot.
Hope somebody can use this.
yeah, I saw that. Hopefully that means root is possible. Great phone but I'd like it a whole lot more if I could get at the hosts file for ad blocking and a couple of other tweaks I'm used to.

When you say it wiped your phone, did it completely wipe the system partition? or did it do a factory reset type wipe?
My phone got all weird during activation and it thinks it activated even though I get no service, when I did a factory reset from inside the OS, when the phone turned on, it assumed it was already configured on the network and actually asked me to manually put in date and time and didn't ask to sign into a google account or connect to wifi, I'm trying to do a full factory reset to try and get it to go through the activation process again.

In the dialer do ##RTN# then reset and enter your MSL. If you don't have it you can use the guide to get it.
adb reboot recovery seemed to do a full reset, with user data partition completely erased since it was encrypted. Also it had to reactivate itself.

I would suggest you flash the factory stock system image using fastboot to get your 6P back up and running.
If you don't have the factory image they can be downloaded from here
Extract the factory image then use fastboot to flash
Code:
fastboot flash bootloader C:\angler\images\bootloader-angler-angler-xx.xx.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio C:\angler\images\radio-angler-angler-xx.xx.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash boot C:\angler\images\boot.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash cache C:\angler\images\cache.img
fastboot flash recovery C:\angler\images\recovery.img
fastboot flash system C:\angler\images\system.img
fastboot flash vendor C:\angler\images\vendor.img
Check out this guide which has all the information you need, especially around device encryption and flashing roms. Lastly gaining root is as simple as flashing SuperSU or Phh's SuperUser in TWRP.
I hope that helps, let me know if you get stuck.

Update your drivers, but also go to the linked guide and, aside from the filename, copy/paste the commands and follow the guide to the letter.

I swapped the phone I had warranty on it. According to google the phone was hard bricked and couldn't be fixed. If you guys are on the beta program do not update. Apparently when you update it, it will brick your phone.

This issue...mostly happens when EFS partition gets corrupt.
EFS partition stores EFS data in 2 different blocks...if any of those block malfunctions..your phone wont boot up even if u flash stock firmware. The only way to fix it is restore the EFS partition backup...properly back to those respective partitions. Even service centre associates can't fix it. They'll offer u a replacement.
If anyone needs any help how to get a RMA under warranty using this EFS partition issue..PM me..haha.
