how to enable system ui in stock nougat? - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi,
i tried holding the gear icon, but systemtuner ui is still not activated in the stock nougat rom. is there anyway to activate it or is it removed from the stable build of nougat?

I use NRD90U and it works perfectly
Hold it for about 15sec and release it to see the message

Make sure you have the animation settings enabled in Developer options, or the System UI Tuner won't work. And be sure to reboot after making the changes.

So where do you go to activate this?

Under developers settings there are three. Window, transition, and animator scales. I believe it is these that you are looking for.

Note 3 Widgetlocker problem

Having a problem with Widgetlocker on my Note 3...
Installed Widgetlocker via direct purchase from teslacoilsw.com. Software is installed & basically 'works', but I'm unable to pull up the Add menu via long press. Tool mode and/or lockscreen...neither pull up the Add menu. What's strange is I get some haptic feedback during long press in tool mode and if I tap around a bit & can get random stuff to happen (like adding an app shortcut to the screen). It's like the menu is 'there' but it's not visible or something. Any suggestions?
Reinstalled & all's good now...nm. (mods, delete post if needed)
~thx
Hi,having the same problem...for my case if you used custom wallpaper then the add menu is like hidden behind the wallpaper, maybe you need to check using custom wallpaper first
Sent the dev an email and he's looking into it. I found that using an alternate wallpaper doesn't do good either.

Would love to be able to send the developer and email. After figuring a way to install on the Note 3, since it shows unavailable for Note 3 on "play" - now I have the pull down notification bar sitting "behind" whatever I add to my Widgetlocker screen...making the pull down virtually unusable...maybe if you could tell me how to submit this to developer...?

On the play store I believe there is a link. As a work around I hide the notification bar and use Dashclock. I also think the dev just became a "daddy" so we may have to wait a bit.

I was wondering how you could hide the lockscreen notification bar.
I am using nova launcher prime and that easily lets me hide the homescreen notification bar but I couldn't figure out how to disable it on lockscreen.

Well you can hide it with Widgetlocker. Just check the settings.

oh yes I was aware of the widgetlocker option but i had to uninstall it for reasons already stated in this thread. I thought I am missing an in built setting somewhere to hide the notification bar. lol

well for me its still not 100% functional.
download from playstore and installed it. set it up as per my needs. till then everything was fine. the moment i tried to change the default locker theme to a custom one it force closed. (that custom theme had worked perfectly on my note2).
can anyone pls check and confirm if you are able to change and use a custom wl theme successfully?

[Solved] Quick settings lollipop

Today, a new button has appeared in my quick settings: invert colors.
And now I can access wifi and bt settings when I click below the icons (maybe I could before and I never pay attention..).
What's happen? How to remove the color inversion button?

How do I enable navbar 3 dot menu?

I have used a 3 dot navbar menu to access settings quickly on my previous phone. Is there a way to enable it on our phone?

Probably as developers start working on custom roms more options and customizations will become available.

i don't understand this requirement. you've got quick settings in the notification bar. if you use a two-finger swipe, it takes you right there. what's a navbar menu?

lockscreen problems

Since yesterday the fingerprint for the lockscreen doesn't work anymore. Tried several options from Google to get it working again. Nope. Also the other lockscreen safety options just do nothing: pincode, pattern. Nothing works. These options only work once, when I shut the phone down completly. Once started again, all the options to lock the lockscreen do not work. I can just swipe, whatever option I have installed for the lockscreen. Anybody else with these problems? And what can I do about it?
Sounds like you have smart lock enabled.

Power notification settings how to enable?

Does anyone running Android O know how to enable the power notification settings? It was great on Android 7 and I really miss it as certain apps really are a distraction.

It allows you to set a notification level for each app. Each notification level did different things, like stop pop-ups when running other apps etc.
