How do I enable navbar 3 dot menu? - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have used a 3 dot navbar menu to access settings quickly on my previous phone. Is there a way to enable it on our phone?

Probably as developers start working on custom roms more options and customizations will become available.

i don't understand this requirement. you've got quick settings in the notification bar. if you use a two-finger swipe, it takes you right there. what's a navbar menu?

Nexus 4 permanent full screen (no on screen buttons)

Hey,
Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the on screen buttons on the nexus 4?
You can do it on the last nexus, and by using a gesture be able to get them to show up.
Kinda sucks that the nexus 4 has a 4.7inch screen, but usable size (unless watching videos) is only around 4.4inches.
On parandroid Rom you have the option to expand the screen, will serve for you!

Can use LMT which either allows you to use swiping gestures for command input (such as on screen button actions) or pie (gesture creates a half circle on side of screen with buttons). Once you have that, you can use the fullscreentoggle apk (both apps are on XDA, just Google) and remove the buttons. Works great for me for the most part. Had a few cases where LMT crashed and I had to reboot the phone due to not being able to back out of an app to restart LMT.
You need root for these as well.
How u gonna go home or go back if u don't have those buttons? Just curious?

Cyanogenmod has the ability to do it too by accessing the power menu and selecting 'Expanded Desktop'

With a gesture.
See it here:

You can use the full screen toggle app which works on stock rooted rom. It's not in the market.
Here's the apk:

'Button savior' works too, just make sure to install it before using the full screen toggle app and rebooting:silly:
Or just do it yourself by going to system/build.prop using Root Explorer and add this to the very end and save (and reboot):
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1

What is this command line use for ?
Auto hide the screen buttons ?
On parandroid pressing the power button you have the option,so its not a problem...
Is there a way to just make the buttons transparent but still usable?
Try GMD gesture control!
I'm using it since my galaxy s3.
I was searching for the same answer and tripped over this by mistake actually. There is an gesture to turn the status bar off. I was just messing around with the gestures a bit and when I used the status bar gesture suddenly the on screen buttons disappeared with the status Bar. Was really pleasantly surprised!

is it possible to do this mainly only while playing games on stock non rooted rom

Hi, I have GMD but whenever I lock my home screen after unlocking the nav buttons are back and touch control doen't seem to work on 4.3. Any advice? I don't want a custom ROM althought I am rooted and using a custom Kernel.

Looking for rom

I'm looking for a rom that has a status bar at the top while pie control is active. Something like what's in the photo.
I've tried PA maybe I couldn't find the option.

Carbon, aokp, liquid.
But I'm fairly sure PA has it too.
You have to go to "Hybrid properties" swipe your finger to the right and click on interface. You will see two options, choosing the Nav. Bar option drag the blue bar all the way down to zero hit apply and enable pie.

CM 10.1 can do that.

I use CM 10.1, nova launcher, and I can have that.
Active extended desktop with CM 10.1 options (then active it with a long press on power button). Then, in Nova, make an action for double tap (or any gesture you like) that hide or show status bar.
And it rocks. You can have only navbar, only statusbar, or both, your call, very quickly.
(sorry for my bad English, feel free to help me ^^ )

[Q] PA ROM - Drop Down Menu Question

So I had a ROMd Moto Atrix 2, and moved into this N4 a couple days ago. On the A2, when I pulled the drop down menu down from the top, I had the Wifi On/Off, GPS On/Off, Data On/Off, Vibrate/Ringer On/Off, Bluetooth, etc.
Is there a setting somewhere in Paranoid Android ROM that allows me to add these features?
You mean quick setting toggles

Pull down status bar from the right side, or swipe up to the left side of pie if using expanded desktop.

Hey i was googling for my answer and this thread came up that's why i'm replying so late.
But if you can help me i'd love it.
I just installed PA and gapps.
It works fine and all but I can't get the quick pull down menu at the top to show up.
I can bring it up using pie but I really want to have the toolbar at the top too displaying battery life time and notifications.
Is there anyway to do that?
I have "quick pulldown" selected in the settings menu but i don't think it works.

In settings > hybrid properties > interface change nav. bar to 0% and apply.

Is it possible to use pie without hiding status bar?

I'm on PA 3.6 and would like to use pie. However, when I select pie, it gets rid of the status bar. My question is, is it possible to use pie without getting rid of the status bar?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Go settings, preferences, swipe to the right, press hybrid settings and drag the nav. bar option slider to "0".
A little search in the PA thread should've gotten the answer.

Yes possible. Goto hybrid setting then u will see navigation button line will be 100%. Make it to 0. Nav button will be hidden, pie will be active and status bar will be shown.

[Q] Notification bar/Quick tile settings

Just a random (but important) question: why do I get Quick Settings page as my default when I pull the notification bar down? Shouldn't it be the notifications page? And how do I change it? Running OmniROM 4.4.2 Nightly (26/1/2014)
You should only have quick settings when swiping down from the upper right corner. You can change this under settings -> notification bar. If it's happening generally when swiping down i don't know. Sorry

So you have the smart pulldown enabled?
