Yestarday my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 stopped charging and when the battery was drained i was not able to switch it on.
while trying to charge, first it would vibrate in very short intervals (twice in a sec) and later it started showing logo but would again shut down.
Somehow on reaching recovery mode i formatted my tab and rebooted it.
Now while opening for the first time after rebooting it shows that it is being charged but as soon as complete all the startup process it would again stop charging.
(plus i also sometimes get a faint line on display running horizontally at the center of my display. It faints further on use.)
Any solution please. Thank You

So, I have a Samsung SM-T230NU. When I tried to power it on, it flashed for a split second the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 logo and then went blank. I figured it was out of juice, so I plugged it in and let it charge for an hour or so.
When I came back, it was flashing and going dark.
I tried a different cable. As soon as power was applied, it flashed and went dark again.
Now, the boot logo is showing for an even briefer amount of time.
I am suspecting the battery or USB port. I don't have parts readily available to swap, however.
It may be worth adding, when I plug in the device, without touching any buttons, the screen starts flashing the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 boot logo. I would guess a stuck power button, but the power button travels freely. When I unplug the tablet from the computer, the flashing stops.
Trying to boot it with power + volume up garners no response from the device.
Any ideas?
Having same issue here
Tried hard reset, no dice.
Tried opening the back to see if I can identify some loose connection, didn't see anything funny. I am not an electrician.
My sister's having the same issue with her T230NU. It still boots (it'll boot to the Samsung splash, but then it flashes off the screen in half a second; this repeats every 7 seconds), but only if it's plugged directly to the wall charger. She let it sit overnight to charge, and it's still got this issue. I'm pretty sure her battery was drained when the issue started occurring last night, but it doesn't look like the battery has charged much (if at all) since then.
Hi there,
so I have here a Galaxy S4 Value Edition Black (I9515) and it is doing simply nothing. Just black screen, no lights, no vibration, battery is charged in another phone to be sure! I tried all the normal button combinations for Recovery or Download mode but nothing happens. Not even a charging indicator when plugged in.
Story:
I had it on my desk over night with the battery pulled out and in the morning I was able to get to the boot logo with the blue recovery text. But it will just hang there. After one or two tries it will only display half the bootlogo before it goes back to doing nothing again.
So I waited another few hours with the battery out and tried using a USB JIG to get into Download mode. This surprisingly worked on the second try and the phone stayed for around 20 minutes in this mode and was also identified by ODIN. While searching and downloading the correct stock pda I disconnected the phone und reconnected it every minute to check if its still working. After around 20 minutes it was still recognized by windows but not anymore by ODIN. So I now have to wait another few hours to get back into Download mode.
Questions:
-What could trigger such an "only power on when discharged"-behaviour? Fuses, Capacitors? idk
- Is there a way to quickly discharge every component on the board, so that i dont have to wait that long.
- What Hardware components should I inspect closer? Measunring points? Voltages? (multimeter at hand)
Thanks in advance!
Long-time lurker, first time posting on this forum. I have a SM-G928A S6 Edge+ that is only a week or so old that ran down and will not boot again. No signs of life at all, and no amount or combination of buttons will get it to display anything. If I disconnect the battery (I repair cell phones professionally), and plug the device in, I get the normal charging screen, and the phone will even boot correctly and run for about 30 seconds before rebooting. I replaced the battery with a new one, and it does the same thing. With either battery connected, no button combo, charging, anything will get the display to turn on. Nothing displays - completely black. There is no accessing recovery, no logo, no safe mode; staring at a black screen. If I disconnect the battery, it operates almost completely normally. Bone stock phone. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks!
Alright,
I replaced my battery today (the battery I replaced drained very quickly) and that is when all of my problems started.

Most people have the issue that their phone is stuck in a boot loop and it just goes to the booting screen and dies - mine is different. My phone was stuck in that phase, however it stopped after a factory reset. It boots all the way to the home screen. Then within five minutes the power-off overlay appears (without me selecting it) and immediately turns off. Then it reboots. My phone is at 4% and is stuck there as I charge it. As soon as the phone has enough power to turn on it does,
I have already wiped my data cache and performed a factory reset.
I have two other working batteries, but they have no effect on this.
I am trying to troubleshoot whether this a hardware or software problem - does anyone have any ideas?
Update #1: So last night I swapped out one of the batteries and it was at 21% when the phone turned on the first time. However, it too started doing the interval shutdown within 5min of being powered on. When I woke up in the morning the phone was drained and would not power on whatsoever - even while charging. So it charges until it has enough to turn itself on and then gets stuck in a boot loop until it dies.
Update #2: Somehow it started holding a charge. After wiping it started booting to the boot loader screen - so I have this to thank. Now it turns on fine, however some dead pixels have started showing up. Also, the current problem is that it randomly turns off - any fixes?
SO, after flashing lineage os on my tab e the screen turned purple and black lines appeared and my tab restarted this time when it reached the samsung logo it got stuck halfway and this time didnt restart. I went into download and again flashed the official android version with stock recovery but the problem still persists. I thought it to be a hardware issue. And in a span of 2 3 days i went into download mode and restarted the device from there as it would not boot with the power button but when it booted up the lines appeared and it powered off. Now after some more days it respond to the download mode only after 8 to 10 hours of keeping ideal. and then also the purple lines appear. it refuses to show the charge indicator and whenever it manages to turn on to the home screen it shows constant 22 persent from more than 5 days and then turns off.
please suggest a solution
