Tip on Quick access to individual volume control - Honor 5X Guides, News, & Discussion

One of the places where we went a little annoying was with the volume controlling.
You can now access all of the system volume controls -- for your ringtone, call, media, and alarms -- anytime, regardless of what you're doing. When you first press your device's volume-up or volume-down key, your phone will pull up the control most relevant to your current activity
Eg - for instance, if you're playing music it'll bring up the music volume slider.If you want to adjust the volume for a different function, just tap the setting icon on right side of the volume slider. That'll expand the volume controls so you can see all the different sliders and adjust whatever you need.
How to?
1. Press device's volume -down or volume-up key.
2. Your phone will pull up the volume control with setting icon on right side.

3. Click on setting icon that will expand volume control to adjust control.
So Now its easy to set low volume for alarm because its very annoying.

audio plugin stops playing

when playing music either with windows or the audio plugin it cuts off when my mugol locks or when slide to unlock comes on. how can i keep it from cutting off?
Yep, HTC is going after the iPhone with an audio player that shuts down when the phone goes into suspend mode
You have two options:
1. Go into Settings/System/Power/Advanced and uncheck "Turn device off if not used for"
But then you'll run into another issue. HTC's version of turning off the LCD to conserve power only dims it about 90%, thereby draining your battery faster than you can listen to Britney's entire album.
2. Download a sleek application called spShutXP which allows you to completely shutdown the LCD whilst keeping the device fully operational. You simply press the power button to bring the screen back up. Another nifty feature is that it also adds a "display switch" which you can map to one of your buttons or launcher for quick LCD on/off action. Some screen grabs:

Nice, much appreciated. i will install and let you know you how it works out.

Reboot in quicklist?

I've been searching high and low and cant seem to find anything that works on the diamond.
Just want to add a restart option to the quicklist when you long press hang up, maybe even a power off option in it as well.
All the cabs ive tried don't work, they either do nothing or just make the quick list not work.
Anyone know?
No one know it?
What you mean "quicklist"?
When you long press hang up, by default its lock, but you can change that in settings to show quick list of different options: Turn Airplane Mode on (flight) > Lock Device > Terminate Data Connection > Set Vibrate > Settings
Why you don't use small apps (simply exe files) and with shortcuts you make that you want?
I personally use these apps (screen off, restart, shutdown).
Look the screen below.

I'm using screen off shortcut to all panels and restart - shutdown to right panel.
You can also put the shortcuts at Start Menu.
I thing it's easier way.

Volume Issue

Is there any sort of app or break for this thing regarding volume level? I am having issues with call volume and ringtone volume on my EVO. It seems it should be a lot louder at maximum volume. It's not *horrible* but I think it could be a lot better.
Any information?
there's an app called "Volume Button Locker"
the icon looks like this...
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It doesn't auto load though, so if you reboot you have to restart it.
Also if you use advanced task killer add it to the ignore list!
what we need is the louder volume hack app to work on the evo. has anybody even pm'ed the dev to ask him to make it work on the evo? i agree the maximum volume is much too low.
It could be that the ringtone was recorded on the low side. There's lots of individual volume settings that can be adjusted. I'm not experiencing that problem. I used to use an app called quick settings for ask the bells and whistles it did. Now I just use it for volume levels. It does: ringer, notification, media, alarm, voice, and finally system volume levels. There may be others out there, this is one of the free ones

6.0.1+: Good Lock - How to adjust volume properly?

On KK and LL, and even with MM it is real easy to change all the volumes.
Press either volume key once, then you was able to adjust all volume (media, notification, etc.)
Now I can press VOL_UP, VOL_DOWN, but nothing really happens.
I tried all the magic, went into Settings, but without luck.
Again, on stock it's fine.
Maybe Samsung forgot to include this in Good Lock?
They even made it official some time ago.
Pressing the empty right area there, where the normal UI have the arrow does nothing.

So something weird happened.
Installed the latest 24.0.7 version.
After installing it, and had a reboot.
When I pressed the volume keys, I had this little arrow.
Fast forward a few days.
Disliked the default purple pastel color, so I changed the color to a new one.
POOF, the arrow is gone.
It's a bug, I am 99% sure, but there is no way to contact / tell Samsung I suppose.

Muting music with button combo

I accidently pressed both the volume button down and power button together for a split second and the music volume went down to zero. I tried it again with screen off and it happened again.
Is anyone able recreate this? I feel like this is really helpful to reduce volume quickly.

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
That combo worked for me differently. After is press the combo, the music didn't mute, but the phone vibrated for a split second and after a minute or so I get a notification from "android system" that a bug report was created with a screenshot of the active screen.
Mine is turning on accessibility shotcut. But i kinda like it[emoji16]
