Is there any sort of app or break for this thing regarding volume level? I am having issues with call volume and ringtone volume on my EVO. It seems it should be a lot louder at maximum volume. It's not *horrible* but I think it could be a lot better.
Any information?
there's an app called "Volume Button Locker"
the icon looks like this...

}
It doesn't auto load though, so if you reboot you have to restart it.
Also if you use advanced task killer add it to the ignore list!
what we need is the louder volume hack app to work on the evo. has anybody even pm'ed the dev to ask him to make it work on the evo? i agree the maximum volume is much too low.
It could be that the ringtone was recorded on the low side. There's lots of individual volume settings that can be adjusted. I'm not experiencing that problem. I used to use an app called quick settings for ask the bells and whistles it did. Now I just use it for volume levels. It does: ringer, notification, media, alarm, voice, and finally system volume levels. There may be others out there, this is one of the free ones

Hello all!
First off, I'd like to say that I'm no pro developer. I am *learning* and trying as hard as I can. I'm an aspiring developer, you could say.
Without further ado, my latest creation!
Volume Control v1.0
What does this do? It give you quick access to both your media volume and ringer volume. You can also put your phone in vibrate and silent mode right from the ringer volume slider! Another thing I like about this is that it WILL NOT make noise. Play with the slider all you want, it wont beep!
A picture is worth a thousand words, so...

I will put this on the market if I get enough interest. I need to buy a dev account anyways.
Hi guys, I was(!) one of the sufferers of low ringtone problem occurs on some unlucky installs of nativesd rom from Tytung. Although not everyone is experiencing this issue, here is a solution on how to repeat it and how to solve it. The problem with my route is it may be a temporary solution, depending on your comfort needs Here it goes;
Assume you are already in trouble with low ringtone, DURING AN ON-GOING CALL, take conversation volume to lowest, by clicking the physical volume-down button on the side of the phone, several times.
End the conversation, and ask someone to call you.
Voila !
Of course, it may not work for all of you since everybody roots their phones in slightly different ways. And the problem with comfort is, you may need a higher volume during call, and right after increasing the volume even a single click from the lowest during call, (I tested other levels too, no way) low ringtone cames back until you fully decrease vol. in a following call.
Well, I really hope this works for you, too, and millions of thanks to Tytung for such a great rom with almost no problems.
And here is my sound settings during a call;

On KK and LL, and even with MM it is real easy to change all the volumes.
Press either volume key once, then you was able to adjust all volume (media, notification, etc.)
Now I can press VOL_UP, VOL_DOWN, but nothing really happens.
I tried all the magic, went into Settings, but without luck.
Again, on stock it's fine.
Maybe Samsung forgot to include this in Good Lock?
They even made it official some time ago.
Pressing the empty right area there, where the normal UI have the arrow does nothing.

So something weird happened.
Installed the latest 24.0.7 version.
After installing it, and had a reboot.
When I pressed the volume keys, I had this little arrow.
Fast forward a few days.
Disliked the default purple pastel color, so I changed the color to a new one.
POOF, the arrow is gone.
It's a bug, I am 99% sure, but there is no way to contact / tell Samsung I suppose.
Just got my wife a G4 Plus, and it's driving her nuts that when she adjusts the volume only a visual representation is given not an audible sound to let her know what the volume level is. I have the Moto X Pure and it's the same, so it must be a stock Android thing. Gravity Box doesn't even have an option for this (or maybe I missed it??), anyways anyone know how to make the volume "ping" when adjusting it?

Custom roms have an option under Settings->Sounds->Other Sounds to do this. You could check if stock rom has the same menu option.

I accidently pressed both the volume button down and power button together for a split second and the music volume went down to zero. I tried it again with screen off and it happened again.
Is anyone able recreate this? I feel like this is really helpful to reduce volume quickly.

That combo worked for me differently. After is press the combo, the music didn't mute, but the phone vibrated for a split second and after a minute or so I get a notification from "android system" that a bug report was created with a screenshot of the active screen.
Mine is turning on accessibility shotcut. But i kinda like it[emoji16]
