So after about a week I think there are enough people willing to donate something so Alexander is able to buy this device and give us a nice ROM.
We signalize him that we are in need of a great ROM for a great hardware.

What's going to happen?:

After that Nameless 4.0 (Nougat) will be ported to this device. It's nearly ready for other devices already.

Alexander told me the following things:
When the ROM for Z2 Pro is out he will try to build one for Z2 too if it is really nearly the same device. He doesn't have one and will not buy one but will try to build one but it will be a blind flight.
The second more important thing he told me for everyone:
If he doesn't succeed on building a ROM for the Z2 Pro, he will REFUND!!! all donations.
I should tell this to all of you. Please be patient though as he does this besides his job and family tasks.
Right now he's on the Kernel combining the source code from ZUK with the one from Qualcomm and cleaning up the code.
He has built a new TWRP and got the custom kernel to boot on stock ROM.
Work is in progress
None of the other ROMs out there have sourcecodes available so he's doing it all from scratch.
I'll keep you informed.

Perhaps I'm a littlebit biased but as soon as there's Nameless available for a device I'll ditch every other
It's very clean, close to stock but with little nice tweaks and a lot of power- and speed-optimizations. Most important it is rock solid and fast. Alexander is really a genius.
Every "needed" option is available, but no bloat.
A lot of stuff on CM is from him too. And Device-Control on Google Play Store for example too:

Cool, I've been away from Android for a few years so I am out the loop on all the Rom / development scene currently.
Sounds like a good rom so I am happy to support as it looks like not many other roms are being developed for the Z2 Pro .
Do they do a good job of making the manufacturer specific functions work like the home button options? It is great to use specific fingers / actions to do different things & launch apps on this device.
I would also hope that the health screen that you swipe to in ZUI can somehow be carried over - I can't access this screen with other launchers as there is no widget available so I always have launch Zui home to use HR / UV sensors.
If these types of things can be included in Nameless it would be awesome.

The sourcecode for the device has been released. I don't know how good it is because someone told me it would be "incomplete" so we hope best.
Regarding the health-screen: I don't think this can be ported as it is something in their launcher. If the sourcecode includes drivers for the heartrate-monitor it could be included but which app would be able to use it.
Basically nameless is AOSP-build so from the blank original sources, not CM or sth. like that so I don't think ZUI-specific features are built in.
For me personally most important is:
A stable, fast ROM with low battery drain and all the basic buttons and features working like the uTouch, Cam, Vibrating, LEDs, Fingerprint and so on.
The few builds of CM, RR, MoKee and so on show that uTouch works but is not configurable, vibration works but not everywhere, LEDs work, Fingerprint too and so on. So we have a good chance to have a 6 GB RAM 128GB Flash device with LTE Band 20 and a great ROM based on stock Android.
Ok great, thank you for the info. Sounds good, I didn't try the other Roms you mention due to things like vibration not working.
Happy to support this Rom as it sounds like it could be ideal. hopefully enough people support to make it happen.

Still waiting my Zuk 2 Pro 6Gb/128Gb version, but i will happy to know we gonna have updates security and last release of androit with a community Rom and OTA update system.

At first he would build it on 6.0.1. The second build will be based on nougat
There is not much else going on in terms of active ROM development and maintenance for this device so any chance for to support someone willing to create and maintain a ROM ongoing should be supported if you can.
It is a shame there are not more ROM's being developed given the specs of this phone.

Nameless ROM is always with included OTA-updates and normally has nightlies available and a changelog to see if it's worth updating for everyone.

habe meinem XDA das deutsche 4.0033 verpasst.
Vieles ist für meine Zwecke unnötig, andererseits sollte der Flashspeicher
dann bereits mit den zusätzlich benötigten Tools gefüllt werden können.
DAS Projekt 'cook your own ROM in a kitchen' unter http://www.xda-developers.com/ROMkitchen/ beschreibt dies für die englischen ROM's. Das ist nicht das einzige Handikap. Das Projekt arbeitet zudem unter
LINUX/Unix, und da kann ich (noch) nicht mithalten.
Bis heute gibt es wohl keine deutsche ROM-kitchen/Tool, welches diesen Ansprüchen genügt.
Vielleicht ist das ja Ansporn für gleichesinnte dies zu tun, oder ihre Erfahrung damit hier weiter zugeben.
Damit man sich vorstellen kann, was ich meine hier einen link einer englischen

Hy Reiner.
The Rom-Kitchen also works with the german ROMs.Only some files must be adapted to get it right working.
I´m also playing a bit with the rom kitchen and get it worked, so i´m using my own cooked rom.
With the Romkitchen your not able to rmove Programs from the rom, you only have the possibility to add software.
When you want to have a own cooked rom, you can sen me a email with the programms you want to have on it (only the programs you can add at the Demokitchen) and i can "cook" it for you....

No, HD2 NAND roms will not Load onto the HTC HD7, they are completely different.

I'm trying to use "basebandswitcher" an App for switching bands for the Defy.
I have some errors that I couldn't find solution for anywhere, but a post on a german forum that seems to solve it.
Problem is google translate, and other online translators, do a pretty bad job translating it.
Anyhow I hope some nice German member could help with translating this small quote:

- Wenn Du dem auf Default zurücksetzt nimmt er das von Einsteino vorgegebene Band wieder aktiv (meine 2.21). Bekommst aber beim nächsten mal die selbe Meldung. Aber das zurücksetzen auf DEFAULT geht damit.
- Wenn Du ein anderes Band auswählst und bei dem beschriebenen Fehlerfensterchen "later" anklickst, wird Deine Wahl übernommen.
An sich, finde ich, ein Schönheitsfehler. Das zurücksetzen auf Default geht, die Wahl eines anderen Bandes auch. Nur eben mit kleinem Fenster.

-if you go back to default it will take the band given by Einsteino. But you will get the same message next time but going back to default works
-if you take a diffrent band and klick "later" in the errorwindow it works"

Hey, danke für deine Hilfe ! Kannst du evtl ein Theme erstellen für Stock 5.0.2 das einfach aussieht wie AOSP ? Die icons von LG gefallen mir gar nicht aber AOSP ist so instabil.. Ich denke die meisten hier wären für so ein Theme und würden es toll finden hier eins von dir zu finden, entsprechende icons gibt es ja in jeder CM Rom, einfach extrahieren. Ich würde es ja selbst machen, aber ich habe im Moment keinen PC in der Nähe erst in 2-3 Wochen wieder

Watch out! I'm one of the victims fall into buying a 7" 8227L unit with fake info in System Info.
System Info shows 1) Android 9.1; 2) 2GB RAM & 3) A7 with 1.3GHz CPU. However, CPU-Z shows OS is Android 8.1Go. RAM is only 1GB & CPU is running at 1.12GHz.
Firmware is YT9213B_00008_V003_20191028 (28 Oct 2019). It means the scam is relatively new.
Be very careful before you place an order!

Sys Info says YT9213B_00008_V003_20191028, but CPU-Z reported "YT9218_00008_V003" & API Level is only 23 which means it's a Android 6 OS!

Hi, I don't read German, but Google does! Anyway, have you tried the "2 pins short" approach reported in the [ROM Firmware for Chinese 7" Head Unit] thread?
For me, current firmware is quite new (28 Oct 2019) & more importantly it is stable. I've managed to change start up boot logo without issue of infinite boot loop reported by others on earlier firmware.
Only missing feature I need is the speaker balance & fader function. It maybe too risky at this time to mess with firmware just to have this feature...!
Nein, hab ich probiert. Meins ist noch eingebaut.
Bau ich erst am Wochenende raus.
Also Balance Einstellung müsstest du bei den Settings haben. Bei meinem ist das vorhanden.
Ansonsten mal bei factory Settings schauen.
Pin ist 8888
Aus dem benannten thread kannst du die mcu update runterladen, auf einen USB Stick machen und aufspielen.
Die Firmware kannst du auch so machen, aber du hast ja schon eine neuere als die im thread.

My unit does not have Balance & Fader in setting. Strange!
I've managed to enter Factory Setting (see attached picture), but I cannot find an option to turn on Balance & Fader feature. Any idea?

For an unknown reason, my unit does not have the balance&fader button in audio setting!
I'm puzzled since I have the unit installed 2 weeks ago!
Knowing the 2GB RAM is fake, I have a question on flashing ROM. Should I use a 1GB RAM version of firmware to flash!?

can you help me upgrade the android head unit from 8.1 t 9.0 attaching the screenshot of build info . I`m confused which firmware to use.

What you see 8.1, 9.1 & 8.1Go are all fake information! No point to upgrade...!
If you use CPU-Z to check, you'll see API Level is 23 which is telling us that our units are actually running Android 6 (Marshmallow).

okay since i`m facing issues in radio, the reception is sometimes lost and after few seconds its gained again so thought of updating the device also checked wether the radio antenna was loose or not but it had fit perfectly in the slot. Also wanted to know is there any way to set volume after startup . By default on startup the volume is set at 10.

how to get the on screen speedometer . I have the same ui in android head unit.

To change startup volume, go to "Setting" -> "Volume Settings". Change "Media" from 10 to preferred volume number.

i spent 120 on an android stereo on ebay and had the same issue. ended up being fake android 8.1 and being 1gb of ram but saying 2gb of ram and android 9. i filed a claim with ebay, the seller offered 50% off. i countered with 75% off and they took it. i ended up paying 30ish dollars for the stereo. to be honest, it works perfectly (save for the radio, but i don't use the radio so i don't care. i just use the thing as a carplay window). file a case with aliexpress, chances are they'll refund you some or all of your money, these things cost jack **** to make..
I did receive compensation from seller too. Similarly, I'm keeping the cheap unit primary for wireless CarPlay purpose. It's been pretty stable so far.
They refund me 80% of price cuz of this. Just try doing same.
