According to T-Mobiles site the s7 is the only capable phone they offer. Anyone have any idea if our 6p is capable?

Does anyone know if the Touch 2/Mega can be used with T-Mobile's 3G? Anyone have any first hand experience in the US with this?
Thanks.

Why should be an issue using a phone on a particular carrier?
I bought here in Italy and used with my TIM sim card seamlessy, including 3G.
CNET review mentioned that the 3G protocol in Mega is for europe and not compatible for the US.
Thread title says it all... Anyone have a link?
Thanks!
It don't matter. I just went to my friendly neighborhood Best Buy and tried my at&t sim card and it worked only on EDGE though. They were willing to sell me one full price.

It does not exist.
Nobody has ever stated there would ever be an AT&T version. It is unlocked, meaning it will work on all GSM carriers, but 3G will only work with carriers using the same frequencies as T-Mo or Europe.
Thinking of getting this BOGO s7 special from t mobile and switching to verizon at a later date. Would the s7 work on Verizon?
No. They generally do not.

Tmobile phones only has GSM radios and not CDMA radios which is what Verizon uses. It might work if you put your sim card in there but it probably won't connect at full speed with Verizon's LTE since they have different frequencies.
Thanks guys.
I think the difference here is that the T-Mobile S7 says it supports LTE bands 4 and 13, so I wonder if it could be used as an LTE only device if you just swap SIMs.

It's 2016?
People post things?
What's the point of your comment? Sounds like your surprised CDMA and GSM still exists, or that people know they still exist.

I actually mixed it around and thought he asked if Verizon's S7 would work on T-Mobile (which it would)
And of course, the T-Mobile S7 wouldn't work on VZW (because of the missing CDMA radios, of course)
That doesn't exclude all T-Mobile phones -- T-Mobile capable phones such as the iPhone 6/6S, Nexus 5X/6/6P, and Moto X/X2 will work on both T-Mobile and Verizon.
T-mobile s7 will only work as data device. Only band 2 and 4 are supported on T-mobile version and no VoLte support.
Volte is nice but shouldn't be a deal breaker. Verizon didn't update their z3 with volte support until a year after its release.

But without VoLTE or CDMA you won't get any calls or SMS.

Hi guys.
Will I have any band issues if I get the phone unlocked from LG?
Does it have all of the LTE bands for AT&T?
What about getting a t mobile V20 and using it on AT&T?
Thank you.
Probably. I am using a verizon v20 on my tmo sim and it never gets LTE. Just H+. Its a crap phone in that regard.

The unlocked V20 (US996) will work on ATT, even though it does not have ALL the bands. I have one on ATT right now and don't have any issues. The missing bands are for newer frequencies being added to support capacity. I live in a metropolitan area so I have good base support. Check this link for details. https://www.frequencycheck.com/models/AzWoD/lg-us996-v20-lte-a

OK I see. I think I will stay away from the unlocked version.

To each his/her own. Reading papashex's words is what finally convinced me to get this particular version.
It has the same bands as my S4. US996 is missing Band 33 I believe, well so is my S4. I think I'll be fine.
Does anyone know if the FE supports the right CDMA frequencies to work on Verizon? I can't seem to get a straight answer off the internet. Thanks in advance!

Sorry dude.

Hi, even though you say that, weren't the S7 and Note 7's exynos based? And yet I could use it with Sprint, which is also on CDMA...and then again I had a SIM card. Does that make the difference?

WELCOME TO XDA-DEVELOPERS! :good:
Not all S7 or Note7's were Exynos-powered.
Some markets had Qualcomm processors & the US even had an unlocked Qualcomm-powered S7 that worked on all the US service providers, released after the initial separate carrier-specific models, which also were Qualcomm-powered.
If you check each forum for those devices, you'll see the varying degrees of development.
