Has anyone used a Generic Android single din flip-front unit? - Android Head-Units

I've had a Joying 1024 quadcore in my car for around 1 year and have been perfectly happy, but now have a new (well second) car which only has a single din radio slot.
Does anyone have experience with the single din units with motorised flip out screens? I'm mainly interested if they are as stable as the regular double din versions, & if they share the same internal hardware/capacitive screens etc & same features such as custom back-light colour on the hardware controls.

Guidance for Android Head Unit

I currently have a Kenwood KVT614 head unit that I hate with a passion. I can't stand the useless screen (without apps it really serves no purpose), the navigation software and about everything.
As a result I am considering switching the head unit out and I love the idea of something running android.
My car is an electric car and it only has a single DIN slot, so I am somewhat constrained in my choices.
Ideally I am looking for an android head unit that covers the following:
- Can run android apps, e.g. navigation (both offline and online via the phone)
- Tethering - I read that some headunits have issues with Bluetooth tethering which is obviously much better for phone battery
- Having an electric car, I actually want the headunit to turn OFF (not sleep) when the car is off
- Screen size: not too big - probably 6-7 inches or I saw some "very wide" widescreens at 8.8 inches that would fit well
- I also like the idea of screen mirroring or android auto (and carplay) working but I would very much prefer for this to work via wireless (not some stupid cable)
- power consumption would ideally be as little as possible with this being in an electric car ...
Does anyone have any recommendations?
I have been looking at some of Joying units, since they seem to be the most modern android head units with 4GB RAM, 32 or 64GB storage and running Android 8.0 or 8.1 …
Would love to get some feedback.
And how do I determine whether a head unit is a MTCB or MTCD, or whatever?
Is there a database or list somewhere? Does this no longer apply to new headunits?
It's too bad there is no sticky or wiki with recommendations and some guides.
Once you know your board (MTCx) there is some decent info, but for someone looking for a single DIN headunit there current forum setup is pretty useless.
No one helps here much.
The new joying intel based units have a new dsp chip that will blow everything out of the water in android platforms. I ordered on last week. Will be doing a review on it by next weekend hopefully

Big screen headunit help

Hello everyone, new here and looking for suggestions and some help. Looking to purchase a big screen head unit and would like some help on making a decision as idk what exactly to look for. First its going in a 2010 jeep Grand Cherokee. i would like the 13.3 screen but those models are only motorized and dont adjust move around so i think my biggest only option is the 12.8. Now ive been looking at a few like the klyde (which seemed like my best one feature wise), phoenix automotive, joying, belsee, and seciaine. and most do have the same chip but noticing that they were running android 8 and would like to have one with 10 is there a way to update these? Also the klyde one seemed to offer different chips but im not familiar with any of that yet so i was wondering wich one yall would reccomend? I would like have the best features possible (i know the parts arent supper high end but thats alright) the hd screen possible hdmi and dsp (not an audiophile but ive heard it does help). Thanks for help and reccomendations

Looking for single din android head unit recommendations.

I currently have a double din Atoto S8 head unit, but I need to replace it with a single din unit to make room for another single din device.
Can anyone recommend a single din (with motorized flip up screen or a screen no larger than the single din opening) head unit with capabilities and performance similar to the Atoto S8?
Thanks
Follow up question to my question, does anyone have any experience with or opinions about this unit...

Pricey, but seems to be one of the only motorized screen units with a decent amount of ram.

Android Head Unit - Topigraphical maps

Hi guys
I have been reading various threads over the past few days to try and figure out what Chinese unit to purchase. I'm looking for some guidance.
Firstly I have a Mahindra Scorpio and apart from Indian company reseller/rebadged Android units I haven't been able to identify any canbus for Mahindra Scorpio. The Indian companies won't sell outside of India.
My existing head unit is OEM non Android double din slot 7'.
I'm seeking an Android head unit that can run google maps and other offline/GPS maps ie ExploreOz. Front facing and rear facing/reverse camera.
Something that has 4G sim, wifi 2.5/5ghtz, thinking 4GB/64GB, expandable SD/USB mem. Sound to be clean but can clean this up via external AMP. Radio. to work fine but with option for DAB+. I'd like to find out how to connect with canbus.
So far I have narrowed down to the following brands: Teyes, Dasaita, Xtrons and Joying.
As specs I was thinking the PX6 with a IPS screen (hi res and hi contrast important) I know screens can washout in bright sunlight.
Although existing slot is 7' double din I've noticed some screens extend past the base unit opening. I could go up to 9 inch.
I did initially consider the CC3 but read they can be difficult to mod if I needed to in the future as well as I didn't like seeing the screen split in 2 with the graphic of the car and the speed - that wasn't to my taste.
Pretty much any android head unit can run any nav app from the Google Play Store.

Single DIN Android headunit (without pop-out/external screens)

I'm looking at fitting a new headunit into an old car with a console bezel, so I'm limited to 1DIN size.
Does anyone know if there are any manufacturers making a single DIN Android headunit with the screen within the 1DIN container? I'd like to be able to run Android Auto using HeadUnit Reloaded on it.
