Hi there guys,
i am not new to this Forum but this time it's the first time i really have to ask a question.
I've got a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (Modell: SM-G935R4) from a Friend in the USA. I live in Germany.
When starting the Phone with my German SIM Card it's telling me the SIM is unsupported, of course 'cause it's a Cellular Device.
My Question:
Is it possible to get the SM-G935F (DBT) Firmware on it or flash any Custom ROM to get my SIM and perhaps the german language work?
What i've tried: (newest Odin, adb driver and Samsung driver + kies installed, everything works correctly and is displayed correctly)
- Installing newest DBT Firmware using latest Odin and also Odin Prince Comsy Edition -> giving me a fail
- flashing newest DBT Firmware with SM-G935R4 CSC using Odin -> fail
- root Phone using Verizon Guide -> works
- flashing twrp using Odin, also using flashfire apk on root -> fail
- flashing Custom Rom using flashfire apk on root -> fail
- flashing original Firmware for SM-G935R4 using Odin -> success (but well not useful)
Any useful Suggestions to solve my problem is really appreciated.
regards

Hi,
I updated my p7510 that i bought in canada (xac) with firmware xwkg7. I live in germany and wanted a european version of the fw.
I did the following:
-Update tab (pit, bootloader, csc, code) using P7510XXKFC
-Update tab (code) using P7510XWKG7
After the update recovery gave me strange error messages (/preload cannot be mounted and so on). However, I installed CWM, so I do not have these errors anymore.
I also did factory reset, wipe cache...
However, since I updated the firmware I cannot use "about tablet->software update->update" anymore. I always get the following error message:
"Failed to update firmware due to network or server problem. Try software update later (Setting->Software update->Update) or using PC software (Kies)"
Before the update this worked just fine (although no update could be found). I dont have network problems, as I can browse, chat etc.
Since the update Kies is also not showing my current firmware version on my tab.
I guess it has something todo with the country where I bought the tab (canada) and the rom that i used to update (europe version)?
Do you know or have ideas how I could fix this problem?
I dont like the feeling that somwthing is not working on my tab
Thanks!
Klaus
Try to reflash the stock recovery with odin and factory reset, that will recreate the needed data structure on the tab and try again.
Or maybe its because you mixed incompatible code/csc.
Start over.
I found the solution.
I described it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1280069
In short: csc files were completely missing. This caused all my trouble.
Hope this will help someone.
Klaus
I have the same problem.
So if I want to fix I have to install csc and PDA files at the same time?
Does that mean all my data will be erased?
Could I just use csc?
Where can I find these files?
Sorry for the 1000 questions!
I am currently on vacation and can not tell you the firmware versions, but at Sammy firmware I found two European rom versions. One had also a csc file that I flashed.
Flashing the original csc file with Odin will do a factory reset. You could also download a custom rom, extract the csc stuff and copy it to /system,if you want to avoid factory reset. You have the choice
But if you use an original PDA/code file and flash it with Odin, csc files are not included and must be added afterwards somehow!

I'm posting this in General/Q&A because I'm new but I feel this is a legitimate question so hopefully someone can assist.
I have a Korean (LGU+) G900L with CWM 6.0.48 recovery and rooted with CF-AutoRoot. I decided I was sick of the Korean bloatware and set about flashing XtreStoLite v1.3.6.
I flashed the updated Bootloader (KLU1ANI1) and Modem (KLU1ANH2) provided by edgarf28 through Odin 3.09 and verified success.
I then flashed the ROM through CWM Recovery using the Modded Stock option for the G900L (vs KToonsez) and UK CSC with success (boot).
After boot and initial setup (WiFi, Google acct, etc) I noticed there was no mobile signal. I verified APN settings and set the mobile network to auto select (and it found LGU+) but still no connection. I also tried to access the network/frequency menu via the secret code but just got a "Mobile Network not Available" message.
Has anyone had this issue? Or more importantly, has anyone SUCCESSFULLY flashed XtreStoLite on G900L?
TL;DR: Flashed XtreStoLite on G900L and can't get mobile network to connect.
Hello,
I know it probably has been asked many times before but I can't see any answers.
Does using ODIN to flash the Lollipop update on my friends Note 3 mean that he won't then receive OTA updates after that ? He is a 3 user and although they have released the update he isn't getting it through OTA so I said I could update it for him with ODIN but I don't want to mess his phone up as it is all stock unmessed with at the moment.
Thanks
Not if you install the matching firmware that is the release for his phone .
Maybe if you install for a different CSC /Region/Phone Code .
Brilliant thank you!

I breaked knox counter twice {if that's what you meant} which doesn't allows direct update of software. But restored again.
TechArena.IN
> If you install the firmware from the identical CSC, OTA will work normally.
> If you install a different CSC, and the CSC is automatically changed to the new CSC after the install is finished (dial *#1234# to check), the OTA will work normally
> If you install a different CSC and the original CSC remains after the update, OTA will not work. To re-enable OTA: Do a factory reset through the Recovery menu to (automatically) change the CSC to the one matching the installed firmware.
> If you install a non-official firmware, OTA will not work.
I think that's all possible options.

Hi! Here´s my stoty.
Bought a Samsung S7 Edge SM-G9350 in Shangai, China.
Discovered that all google apps where blocked, including Google Play.....couldn´t download any aplications.
Decided to change ROM, bootloader comes deblocked, if not you can use CROM.apk, then to gain root acces I flashed with Odin http://m.muzisoft.com/root/227707.html, then I bought from PIT & ROM FULL [G9350/TGY] Rom full Galaxy S7 edge (SM-G9350) Hong Kong, Global, full CH Play - G9350ZHU1APB9/TGY, the ROM and I flashed using ODIN, with the PIT file also. Procces failed, got following messege :
NAND Write Start
lksecap.mbn
Failed (Auth)
And then starts a loop..........
I attached the files
PLEASE tell me what to do!!
Thanks

Was the root procedure ok? Did you get a pass from odin when you root?
If yes, so you changed rom after root?
Are you able to enter download mode now? And why did you flash the PIT file separately? It comes bundled into the CSC file. I think you should have flashed just CP, BL, CSC and AP in Odin, that's all.
I recently picked up 2 edges a Verizon and ATT variant, I flashed the Verizon phone succesfully to G935U with this firmware http://i.imgur.com/JuIeA6g.jpg
(The 4-file link in Step 2 https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...de-flashing-sm-935u-firmware-verizon-t3415145 )
Since that went smoothly I decided to run Odin and flash that firmware onto the ATT Edge, ( original FW is g935aucs4apk1 )
It didn't work, I recall that it got stuck at Setup Connection. So I rebooted the phone and it took me into Recovery mode, where all the CHECKS failed. So the ROM has effectively been wiped; leaving me with just the Recovery menu and DOWNLOAD screens.
Is there any way of getting my self out of this?
Fixed it. Ended up clicking Re-partition and Flash Bootloader in Odin then flashing 4-files from the T-Mobile Nougat firmware using the PrinceComsy 3.12 Odin
Not my ideal way to do this, i'm sure I've lost root potential, but I have a working phone! (w/ No xposed )

As long as you are still on bootloader 4 (and you are, since to my knowledge there isn't a higher version) you can still root your device and return it to MM if necessary. It may take some effort, but it's doable.
