Hey guys, I tried my dad's CDMA sim in my phone and im able to make calls with no problem. My issue is that the APN settings disappear the moment a CDMA sim is inserted and am therefore unable to use my mobile data. The apn settings reappear the moment i put my own GSM sim back in. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

I just SIM unlocked the Ozone (via customer service) and inserted an at&t SIM from my iPhone. Voice and SMS works fine when I set the network mode to GSM Only. Under connections a new option shows up for GPRS. This is typically where we would set the wap.cingular apn but I cannot get it to connect. Has anyone had any success? I am trying to test the switching from CDMA to GSM. But I have a feeling that it will be voice only as no apns are setup. This same sim card works in my Kaiser (att&t) with the same settings so it does not have anything to do with the iphone data plan.
I'm also using an AT&T sim card on the ozone.
Basically what i did was just to run the HTC Connection Setup tool and that did everything for me. I didn't have to do anything.
The phone connects to the internet with no problems after that.
Is there a cab file for that as I do not have it on the evo 6.5 rom.
Figured it out. I had the connection settings correct (APN) it was Comm Manager had "Data Connections" off. Now I am good to go on my testing. Sorry for the stupidity everyone.

I did the same that you did. I mean having the data connection off. In fact I realized that I needed to turn it on after reading your message. The thing is that in my Kaiser there was no need to turn on manually the data connection first. Actually, it was done automatically when trying to retreive data, for example: by pressing send/receive funtion in the mail.
Thanks, your confesion helped me a lot
yes
I realize that this is a year old but I'm having the same issues connecting to the internet. my ozone works for voice and sms but no mms or internet (data) any help?
I'm just running the 6.5 wm platform... no roms or hacking of any sort. just an unlocked phone and my at&t sim card.
Thanks!
Hi, So I recently just unlocked my Verizon S4. Switched the sim for a AT&T sim, when it rebooted it was working great. Till I realized tht in the notifications bar, "Unknown sim" is forever there. And my network shows up as H.. I checked my APN nd it's set to nothing. Help???!!! Oh, And it's on Global network... should it be?

Have you attempted to search for your providers APN information and manually add it?

What if I do that and it goes back to being lock to my Verizon sim? How would I know if it's really unlocked? Cause I'm using the data now. I can make calls, msgs, nd get on the Internet thanx to the apn settings I entered, but how do I change it to 4g icon instead of the H+? Nd getting rid if the unknown sim... or does none of this matters?

You can always try to search for the 4G apn settings (if such exists) for Verizon, and or go to your mobile network settings and set 4G as preferred network type.

Mate ,
Once is unlock is always unlock no matter what sim you put in
You did not mention you could make call and send messages , to get 4G review your settings/connections /more networks /mobile networks and make sure you have the right setting there .
if you have dta and voice you should not have the "unknown sim " error ......try with a different sim to see if is sim related.
I have two sims A and B connected to networks .sim A is selected for cellular data but when i change it to sim b , the network on sim b stops coming and until i change the cellular data to sim A and restart the phone Sim B wont connect to a network, error while searching for network is displayed while trying to search for network manually. Does anyone know is it a sim problem or with the mobile. I have even factory resetted the phone and changed the sim slots.
Is one of the SIMs Jio 4G? For it to work, you'll need to set it as the primary data SIM. As soon as you change the data SIM, it will deactivate itself from the network.
So, likely my G4 plus did the same while activating data on another network, JIO4G automatically turns off!

tried that did not work , one sim is airtel 4g and other is vodafone
That's a model and/or mobile operator dependent problem. I have XT1642 in Germany and never had that problem with both sim slots.
What model did you have and in which country?
it's only due to jio sim in india
I'm trying to access mobile data through sim 2 network by switching network mode for Sim 2 to (lte/3g/2g), but unable to do it. Mobile data (lte/3g/2g) is accessible through sim 1 network. Before i started using dual sims, sim 2 network was Sim 1, then mobile data used to work fine. What can be the issue?
Sorry for starting with the obvious, but I had also initially forgotten to set APN for SIM2?
Apn is already configured for sim2. I have tried deleting and reconfiguring apn with no success.
I recently bought Mi A1 from someone, now that I inserted the sim, I can get calls, but no data service. Is there a way to fix this problem? Without having to change service provider?
Your APN needs setting correctly, get the APN settings from your sim provider and update the APN in your phone settings.
