Is there a list of modules that definitely work with the note3 stock based ROMs?
+1
but you need to clarify also, do you need it for JB or KK?
Pls. who ever will share his info (tested and working) to clarify if it is for JB or KK
Iam on KK build NC2 , and using right now:

I'm using GravityBox, AppSettings, XUIMod, and Complete Action Plus.
Gravitybox 3.1.1 does not work on stock kk!!

Besides the lockscreen settings not working for obvious reasons, I have no issue using it.
wifi is working normally
how can i change the holo black background?
I tried the lock screen change and worked but made me lose my quick settings background custom pic!!
Sent from my SM-N9005
Yeah on KK sorry.
Is there anything that let's you customise our notification panel toggles yet?
And wanam lock screen torch doesn't work, is there anything for that?
Gravitybox messed up my SystemUI.apk mods I made, extra toggles did not work and there is no option to change holo black background with a pic
tried Wanam kit, it lacks most of the wanam xposed features!! and when choose center clock, the other status bar icons over lapping on the clock, but screen video recording working good
Iam testing now Wanam Xposed :
when choose center clock, the other status bar icons over lapping on the clock, screen video recording working but with no sound
change holo black background with a pic worked
Lost some of my SystemUI.apk mods I made

I don't suppose there's a module for getting symbols/punctuation on the Google keyboard?
There is a list on xda use search.

At the moment I have auto-hide navbar setup using 2 Xposed modules.
The first is "LG Pie Support" this disabled the navbar and the navring (which nothing else I find disables the navring).
The second is Ultimate Dynamic Navbar to bring back the Navbar which is customisable and auto-hides.
Now what really annoys me about LG Pie Support, it makes applications not show the "3 dot menu" so I get around this by
adding settings to the back-button in long press but this is not ideal.
I was wondering what other people do to achieve the same results? and is there an all-in-one option?
Thanks
BTW: Im running Stock Kitkat, thinking about switching to CloudyFlex though
Gravity box and g2 tweaks will have truw pie

Hi is there a way to use nova laucher icons for the lockscreen shortcuts?it always uses stock icons instead and it really bugs me lol
You can use unicon to set icon pack as default ... But it doesn't allow you the ability to set individual apps
Are you wanting to do this with AOSP or the stock ROM? With AOSP you could extract icons from whatever pack you wish to use. Make a new folder in SDcard/Pictures. And paste them there. After a reboot or two they'll show up. Then select them from the Gallery when choosing your custom lock screen icons. You can get really fancy and change the actual lock icon to match your other icons too. That requires a little more work though.
Not to be that guy but it is best practice to read thread stickies before posting.
If you can give us more info on your current setup, it would be helpful.
Thanks unicon did it ...thanks danial.aw and i was stock kk using nova just to be more precise

Unicon is amazing. If you're in the beta there's new features that are super sweet. Custom Icon assignment is flat out awesome.
All g3 owners would like a page just for tweaks, can be kernl, apps, etc.Post here so we can share
Install Nova launcher or similar. Never use the LG launcher again. 90% of lag issues solved. I had to do a factory reset yesterday and the few minutes I spent on the stock launcher while preparing to restore apps with Titanium made me feel murderous.
Ya always use nova its golden,I also use android tweaker,g3 tweakbox, set CPU which seem to help..Any personal tweaks you found that work well

Tweakbox is a must, I prefer action launcher as I'm not a fan of the iPhone style app draw. Also makes the phone easy to use one handed. Last but not least I reduce the DPI to 560 so I get more content per screen
Yes I have DPI at 570 love it
1. Nova launcher with fast animations and fast scroll speed.
2. You need this in order for step 3 to work. Install SElinuxmodechanger from the play store and set it to permissive.
3. In system tuner go to system mgr/one-click and turn on boot for app optimizations and reduce device lags.
4. When you boot up your phone the first time my phone got locked on the home screen and I couldn't launch any of the apps so I rebooted again and now I am using it for awhile and it is very smooth and responsive.

My At&t G3 setup
short version of my setup below
Nova Launcher
A customized Zooper Widget (both on my home & lock screen)
A mod/hack I found on youtube to have HotSpot enabled
Towelroot used to enable root
Xposed with G3 TweakBox
G3 TweakBox I enable:
Bigger Caller Picture,
Hide Battery Full Notification
Disable Safety Headset Volume
Skip Tracks With Volume Keys
Carrier Text Visibilty (Hidden)
Other then that I just disabled a few apps (bloatware)
Upate new xposed module installed
This weekend I wanted to test the NFC paypass option but since my phone is rooted softcard app says wont work with root and did not open at all. I searched the web and found RootCloak an Xposed Module. Once I installed that and followed the directions by adding it to the list within the RootCloak app it opened up just fine. So the SoftCard app works just fine on a rooted phone with the RootCloak module installed. Also I opened Google wallet which opened and worked just fine no problem at all. ALSO forgot to mention I installed the Swype keyboard been using it since my old S2

Good stuff guys, I know this will help new users too
out of all the tweaks i've read in lg g3 forum - intl,at&t,tmo, verizon that have the most noticeable effect in removing lag and giving longer battery life are:
1. uninstall mc afee
2. freeze google play services and google services framework.
3. if anyone can give their experience regarding nlpunbounce? tia.

It can be safely disabled, but doing so will mean that you can't use the play store and any other gapps that depends on play services.

I think greenify would be a better idea, don't you.I use gapps way to much.
Here is my setup at the moment:
Google Now Launcher + Xposed GEL Settings module - I've grown to love the Google Now Launcher with the Google Now integration so much that I'm just not happy with any other launcher. This Xposed module is a must have for those who wish to have most of the customizability of other launchers while using this launcher.
Greenify + Greeniy Xposed module enabled - Needless to say, possibly the best auto-hibernate-app utility out there. Helps with battery performance a lot.
SDMaid Pro (ROOT app) - Has a bunch of really useful utilities for cleaning duplicate files and maintaining the SD card in a clean state.
ROM Toolbox Pro - Used to be really useful in my old days of HTC Desire HD, customization features work well with CM ROMs. For now I use it occasionally for the many built-in apps including a terminal emulator, root browser, startup manager, build.prop editor among some others. Useful apps to have in one place.
Tasker - Needs no description. The most powerful automation tool ever! I use it to automatically change my wifi, data, sound & brightness settings based on whether I'm at work, home, sleeping or reading something on my phone.
G3 Tweaksbox - Thank god for Tweaksbox & root. With the unlocked bootloader I would've grown pretty frustrated if not for this. Currently using the Tweaksbox for UI Themes, Nav Bar color, Bigger caller picture, battery notification tweaks (especially that annoying wireless charging notification), etc. One of the most useful features I find is the Misc. Tweaks > "Enable Knock Off on Nav Bar" - This allows to knock off the phone by just tapping on the nav bar instead of all the way up at the status bar when using a non-stock launcher like I do. Also helpful is the feature to change the default messaging app color(hate the yellow!) found under "Message Tweaks > Theme color".
Network Speed Indicator (Xposed Module) - I like to monitor the network speeds when using the phone and for the time being when there is no support for this feature in Tweaksbox, this little Xposed module comes handy. Offers some customization as well!
Unicon (App/Xposed Mopdule) - Another must-have on any rooted phone that I have. Allows the use of icon packs on any launcher including the Google Now Launcher that I use. Changes the icon system wide. Great app!
You-tube AdAway (Xposed Module) - Gets rid of the annoying ads that popup now and again while playing vids on YouTube.
AppSettings (Xposed Module) - Allows changing per-app DPI for when you change you phone DPI and some apps get messed up.
I guess the above classify as tweaks, but while we're here, here are some apps that make my life a bit easier:
Talon for Twitter - UI customization, In-app browser + video. Used to use Falcon Pro but this one is equally good if not better with multitude of theme options
Unclouded - Keep tabs on your cloud storage accounts in one place. Useful.
Zooper Widget - Must have for theme & UI customization fanatics.
Sidebar / Switchr - Both from the same dev, both offer options to switch between apps from any screen. I used Sidebar before, Switchr offers much more now. Both are worth a try.
LinkBubble - Really really useful for surfing various links from say, your twitter feed. Loads links is a small bubble while you continue to do whatever you're doing. It's one of those you-don't-know-what-you're-missing-till-you've used-it features.
VSCO Cam - Really great alternative to the stock camera app. Offers much more editing features.
HeadsUp - If you've been missing heads-up notifications from CM/PA ROMs(like me) this is a nifty little app that brings over the functionality.
There. Most of them are probably well-known & that was a long post, but I hope it helps someone to find something new and/or useful

App optimizations: boost app loading, optimize databases, clear caches, clear clipboard.
Reduce device lags: increased responsiveness, eliminate some lags.
I don't know what each one does exactly what but I know that by switching both on I have entropy on and fs trimmer on.

Thanks. I'll have to look at these more closely.
Since i use play store and so only once a week, I just freeze it with titanium backup an d defrost it when I need it. Indeed improves battery life.
Not to forget to change and delete the default lg keyboard.

Hello everyone, i recently installed BlissPop ROM on my D-802.
I was wondering:
1) Can i remove the "Get now cards" ?
2) Can i use smaller icons like the others on bottom tray ?
Image URL: s21.postimg.org/anycthrp3/Screenshot_2015_10_29_11_44_34.png
Futhermore, were could i find stock apps like Dialer and Contacts ? Most of them listed on "G2 THEMES AND APPS" have broken links.
Hi,
1. I'm assuming that's a widget, if so, you can just long-press it and throw it to the "Remove" / "Delete" option that pops up.
2. If you're using Nova launcher, witch I guess you're using, you can go to Nova settings--> Desktop--> Icon layout and from there you can adjust the size of the icons in the desktop.
Edit: Oh and about the stock apps, here's a link to some stock lollipop apps
http://www.idroidspace.com/download-android-5-lollipop-stock-apps/
Nearly all the stock lollipop apps are there, however if you want the messenger app then just search for it at the play store, Google already published it there.
But if you meant stock LG apps, then I don't believe there is a way to use stock LG apps in an Aosp ROM such as Cyanogenmod/blisspop/AICP etc...
Have fun!

Thank for your reply!
1) This is not a widget. That's why i am asking if there any way to remove it.
2) I am using the launcher which come with BlissPop ROM. Should i use Nova instead ?
I was searching for stock LG Contacts and Dialer apps because i prefer them than Google's.
I prefer LG apps over the stock as well, but sadly, I did not manage to make them work in the BlissPop ROM.
And I recommend you to use a different launcher, as he said, Nova would suffice. But I personally preffer Apex Launcher, it just fits my style a bit more. Any of these two should be able to handle your situation anyway.

Yes, use Nova or Apex or whatever launcher you want, I prefer Nova. I've used so many launcher in the past but nothing could beat Nova IMO.
Even though I'm recommending Nova, witch will, by using it, remove that ugly "Get now cards" thingy, I'm gonna have to ask you to tell me what happens when you long press that thing? Does it say anything? Does it let you view "app info" or let you know what app that is?
And for the stock apps, I searched and tried some but none worked (as expected). That's why some people choose to stay with stock systems because of these apps. Personally I've gotten over that ;D

You can set up task manager in your status bar, it should be in the blisspop settings, under status bar OR under the quick settings menu.
It will add a buttom for the task manager to your quick settings, see for yourself

A screenshot or something ? I can not find this option :/
Sure, Settings - Bliss interface - Notification drawer - Task manager.
When you turn that on, an icon will appear in your quicksettings (when you slide down notification bar completely, it will be next to the settings shortcut and battery shortcut).
