I am on a cm 13 ROM ,I installed custom kernel ( Nemisis Kernal)
Now I am not able to update cm13 ROM
I had an error Asus.trustzone(xx"xxxxx)==1;
Status 7 error
I removed that line form the the updater script file and installed the updated
It installed successfully, but rebooting into bootloader
After some research
I found that the boot.IMG was not flashing
So I restored only the boot.IMG from a nandroid backup
It was successful, and booted system
Most of the apps were working.
Camera is not functioning as if it is not detecting camera
I even tried to remove cynogenmod completely and then
Install cm13 latest release newly
It didn't work
I tried to sideload the new update
It also didn't work
I think I have to port the boot IMG for camera fix
In the tutorial
They said to replace the zimage file from stock boot to port boot IMG
Copy the init.rc
# Camera
......
Section and paste in port into.rc
But I could not find any # Camera section
In some tutorials the asked to edit init.project. rc
I searched all init.xxxxxx.rc files
I could not find # Camera section
Can any one help me !!!!! :crying::crying::crying:
Please help me to port boot.IMG to my rom

I am not sure but i think your problem might be something like this.
Look in first post of Quarx original CM11 defy thread .. probably what you missed is to first install the update-recovery.zip (updated to be compatble with CM11 install) and then to download CM11 zip manually onto your device, then reboot into your newly updated TWRP ..
also first boot without gapps.. configure device, then reboot and install gapps minmal by banks linked in Quarx post.
So I've ported CM to ZE500CL, I need a way to flash the system cause recovery gives an update binary error( tried changing the mount points in updater-script but didn't work, flashes other zips flawlessly though). Can anyone tell me how I can pack the system folder to an img file that is flashbable through fastboot mode? I've successfully ported a kernel and a recovery from Zenfone5. The TWRP works like a charm but the phone won't boot without the system.
I hope you will find way to make it, because I am waiting it so much!
my zenfone 2 laser is bootloop! (ZE500KG)
I try flash file TWRP but I can't do that!
It say ''Failed'' > '' zip verification failed''
anyone know how to fix it faulty?
TWRP 3.0.2-0 (TeamWin) for zenfone 2 laser!
ALSO DO NOT FLASH WITH ADB! Help me. :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
Hey,I dont know if u found the answer yet
TWRP can just flash unofficial rom
not official rom
if you want official rom
you have to use oem recovery...not twrp
I m look for answer too...that is all i know
TWRP can install both Stock Or Custom Roms...it is based upon the update-script...
I had an issue where I could install any of the cyanogenmod 13 nightly updates past June 14th on my phone, a ze551kl. I resolved the issue by updating to the OEM ROM 21.40 from the Asus website. Hopefully this is helpful.
I downloaded the following files from the?*Asus website and copied them into the?*SD Card?*of my phone:
- UL-Z00T-WW-1.16.40.763-user.zip
- UL-Z00T-WW-1.17.40.1234-user.zip
- UL-Z00T-WW-21.40.1220-1615-user.zip
- UL-Z00T-WW-21.40.1220-1794-user.zip
I then used fastboot to install the stock recovery image. After installing the stock recovery, I rebooted into recovery mode and installed 1.16 and restarted the phone. After the phone booted into 1.16, I rebooted into recovery and installed 1.17, etc . . . until I updated to 21.40.1220-1794.
After the last update, I replaced the stock recovery with TWRP and l was able to install the latest nightlies. It seems like installing 21.40 was the key to fixing this issue.
An important side note : I downloaded the WW ROMs because my phone is a WW region. If your phone is from a different region, you will need to download the appropriate ROMs.
Good luck with your phone.
Hello friends
After reading many comments and reading many tutorials k3 note users face Oreo ROM do not boot and shows no os is installed or it gives bootloop.
If you are facing these problems then this tutorial help you to boot into Oreo rom successfully.
I know that there is no stable Oreo rom but people try to flash Oreo rom because it is new and having new features .
Firstly use ressurection remix Oreo rom because it is more stable then linage os also it hase endless customisation.
Always use latest twrp for flashing roms ( all links are given at bottom).
So,let's go
1.Firstly boot to your current installed twrp and flash the given twrp.
2.Boot to new recovery and wipe except internal storage I prefer clean install because it does not give any errors.
3.Flash the RR Oreo rom if it shows error again wipe and boot into recovery it does not show any error wait for the installation.
4.Flash latest Gapps nano&picco(arm64) I prefer nano
5.This part is important flash magisk or super su as your wish for root permission.
6.This is the most important part don't boot because we need to path the boot.flash the boot image when you flash the image it shows many options like nvram, recovery etc. choose boot and flash the image .
7.Now boot to system you don't see any error like is is not installed or bootloop.
NOTE:- the boot image I only tried in ressurection remix so try in another roms I don't now it will work or not.
I did not take any responsibility if your phones completely dead, blast or anything.
Please take full nandriod backup into twrp of anything goes wrong.

I've wiped the data of my phone. Yes, The os of the phone. I wanted to install the custom lineage os 8.0 rom. I flashed it using twrp and the gapps zip too but at first it was showing that that os was for z010d (which i was using) and not for *dash* *dash*.
So I deleted the 2 lines binary script or what ever it is called inside the meta inf - google - android - binary script. Then it flashed and leaving value 1.00000 something. Then flashed the gapps zip file. Then I rebooted. Everything seemd alright but the boot show just the asus logo powered by android and nothing else. What to do now?
