HI XDA,
I am using Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910G)
1st STAGE
Suddenly in my phone's recovery menu says "drk verification failed",
If i install firmware vis Kies or ODIN it says"write flash memory failed"
2nd STAGE
I flash new Firmware and PIT file(get from some web) via ODIN3_v1.85.
But phone was not worked properly.
When i open recovery boot menu it says"Installing System updates"(5 min)
then after select "wiping menu" or "reboot" it takes 10 min.
3rd STAGE
I flash via Smart switch Emergency Recovery mode but it says above errors.(But it working properly compered to above condition but have same errors)
4th stage
I flash official ROM(AP) and Boot Loader(BL) vis ODIN3_v3.11.
Started properly but same screen says"Installing system updates" and all that.
Sometimes says "NO COMMAND" for a bit sec and goes to recovery menu.
Note: Phone is not rooted
What should i do to solve this issue?
I think that may issue again rise from PIT file?(It seems partition line in recovery menu)
is there any way to remove partition made by PIT file?
What should happen if i check "re-partition"(Not given PIT file) or "Nand Erase All" while flashing with ODIN?
I have BL,AP,CP,CSC for that phone.
Thanks in advance.

Whatdo i do with the file? Flash it with odin and then? Do i flash a new rom after it?
i tried to flash it again and used that PIT file but still the same result any other suggestions? Or is my phone ready for the recycle bin? :crying:
Flash it whit the rom
Does it say G900F in download mode?
Odin mode
Product Name : SM-G900F
Current binary : Samsung official
System status : Custom
Reactivation lock (KK) : Off
Knox waranty void : 0x1 (2)
Qualcomm secureboot : Enable (CSB)
Ap survey : S1, T1, A1, A1, P1
Secure download : Enable
UDC start
Thats what it says ...
Sounds like something in DATA is corrupted, which ODIN does not wipe
So flashing ROMs with ODIN won't fix it, you need to wipe the phone
Almost the same thing was happening with another member the other day, using ODIN option "Nand erase all" while flashing the ROM to wipe the phone, and then using KIES3 to recover the firmware was their fix
After Nand erase all, the phone would only enter download mode, KIES3 fixed that with the firmware recovery process
http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/
--
Or you could try flashing TWRP with ODIN, and see if you can get into TWRP recovery first, factory reset from there
I tried to put TWRP on my S5 with odin but that didn't work ...
Now i just flashed the phone with a new rom and with "Nand erase all" ticked and then do a firmware upgrade with "Kies" but unfortunately that didn't worked either :crying:
any other suggestions?
In ODIN, uncheck "Auto reboot"
Flash TWRP
When it completes disconnect USB and remove battery to power off
Replace battery and immediately boot into recovery
Volume Up & Home & Power
ANd you need to add more details other than "It didn't work" or we can't help
Ok i did what you suggested and at first it starts up with this on the screen :
Recovery booting .... (in blue letters)
Set warranty bit: recovery (in yellow letters)
then it just reboots without this text on it but it just keeps rebooting ... i dont get to see any thing else but the samsung galaxy s5 powered by android screen ...
And what does KIES firmware recovery say?
With the kies program i get thesame result ... it just stucks in the bootloop ...
No, what does KIES say when you run the firmware recovery?
I'm going to leave you to it, can't help you when you just keep repeating the same thing "Doesn't work"
Im not home at the moment,i will give it another go when im at home and tell you what it sayw
Ok, i opened Kies and searched for that emergency recovery firmware that you talked about but i don't see a option to select my phone??
Here is a printscreen from kies and my phone connected i download mode ...

Ok, you may close this topic, i brought the s5 to a repairshop and they are gonna check what the could do ... possible even necessary to replace the touchscreen and lcd according to the salesmen :s
Hello guys,
I need extremely technical help as no longer know what to do.
I have a Galaxy S7 Edge device, which installed the rom BobCat and everything went well until then.
Later I decided to install another rom to test KingRom that left me unsatisfied, because I thought it had some bugs. Had the TWRP 3.0.0 recovery and decided to upgrade to 3.0.2, everything went well.
At one point I do not remember when or how if was when install back, downgrade to TWRP3.0.0, I do not remember if it was via Odin or TWRP, it happens that the installation stopped halfway. Then unplug the device, restarted in recovery mode and got the following message "E: falied to mount EFS (Invalid Argumen)", I could not restart the device (Boot Loop, and stucked at Samsung Logo) except in Recovery Mode, which also made to stay without IMEI number and Serial Number.
I googled until I came to this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-e...ssues-t3379516
I followed all the steps explained, I back up EFS_backup and RADIO_bakcup partitions.
Installed FACTORY BINARY G935, everything went well. After restarted, already had the correct IMEI number but still did not present the S / N.
After all that, i tried to install Stock Firmware via Odin, from here started the problems that could not solve.
In the first attempt Odin stucked in "System" (also used the PIT file with the same CSC ... .i do not know if I was right using PIT?). Restarted the device forcibly, entered the stock Recovery, did a complete wipe and always get this message "E: falied to mount System (Invalid argument), I returned to install Factory Binary, then reboot in Recovery and the same message no longer appeared.
Again I try to install the Stock Firmware and Odin always stucks in System, or NAND writing, or Partition, etc. I've tried various Stock Firmware, with and without PIT files, always without success.
Only Factory Binary that successfully installs. The TWRP via Odin also but when device restarts to enter Recovery Mode always get the message at the top of the display:
"Recovery image signature check Fail"
"Reboot to avoid Warranty bit set."
1. Does the partitions are in good shape? how can I check it?
2- I did good or bad using PIT file?
3- Does the problem is running Windows XP through a Virtual Machine?
4 What else can I do?
In all actions used and am using a Macbook 4.1, OsX Lion 10.7.5, Odin 3.11 Windows XP Professional 32bit through Oracle VM VirtualBox 3.4.38
Device:
Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935F) CSC = SWC SwissCom
1st Original Firmware: (I guess was 1?) G935FXXS1APG5_G935FVFG1APF3_SWC
Need help Please
Thank you so very much!
Bootloop "Booting Recovery", can not enter fastboot after odin flash (Live Demo Unit(
Hi !
I have a live demo unit here that behaved a bit strange ( was booting only if power connected and even then needed 2 to 3 times) with all images i found here, no matter if Android 4/5/6/7...
So i got smart and found a thread about live demo units with a supposed fix:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49482582&postcount=3
I downloaded that archive containing AP / BL / CP / CSC / PIT
As recommended i dloaded Odin 3.09 and used it in standard config:
auto reboot / re partition / F. Reset Time checked
I chose all files from the arvchive but was NOT able to flash.
I unchecked the bootloader as that seemed to be the trouble, then the whole flash ran through.
But now my n9005 LDU comes up with the Samsung logo and "Booting Recovery" in blue in the top left corner, no more messages.
It reboots after a second and goes on.
I tried the key combo for fastboot but its ignored.
Removed battery, waited a long time, retried, Same result.
In windows device Manager NO extra device is popping up, not even for a fraction of a second...
I can not get it out of bootloop for the life of me.
Any ideas ?
Thanks a lot for help, i am stuck
Ender
As its not a proper Note its all guesswork .See multiple posts on demo model.
Fastboot NOT on N9005.
Fails to boot .
Repartitioned and wrong pit .
No kernel or wrong kernel usual on genuine N9005.

I installed twrp pro 3.2.1-1 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development/recovery-recovery-pro-galaxy-j5-2015-t3728264) on my J500FN (stock rom v6.0.1). It supports AROMA file manager. With twrp pro i installed [ROM][J500xx][TW-7.1.1][v5.0] SEPerience-ROM A8 2018 Port (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development/rom-sep-8-5-galaxy-a8-2018-rom-t3796971).
The ROM also started and ran without problems. Since I didn't like it, I installed Odin again with stock rom 6.0.1 (four-part version). I paid close attention to BL AP, CP and CSC. Odin reports sucessfull 1, failed 0. But now my phone still gets bootloop at samsung logo. I also tried v5.1.1, but bootloop at samsung logo here too. But it is the right firmware (SM-J500FN_1_20190207155114_slzx5q4t70_fac.zip). Exactly the same with stock rom v5.1.1.
I am at the end of my knowledge . Please help.

Try rebooting to stock recovery and do a factory reset. Your data should have already been formatted by installing stock theough but just in case try this
When starting stock recovery, the message "installing system update ..." appears and shortly thereafter "no command.", before the recovery menu appears.
I did "wipe data / factory reset" and "wipe cache partition" and then "reboot system now". Unfortunately a bootloop at the samsung logo ::crying:
I don't understand what I did wrong. I have already flashed some Samsung smartphones with new firmware. So far I always thought that flashing the stock rom firmware can fix everything.

That should be the case. Try a different version of Odin perhaps? I know people have issues with certain versions on certain devices

I tried the following odin versions:
Odin3 v3.09
Odin3 v3.10.7
Odin3 v3.11.1
Odin3 v3.12.5
Odin3 v3.14.4
Always the same
After flashing, Odin reports suceed 1, failed 0.
The automatic restart begins with the Android logo and the messages "installing system update ...", "erasing", "installing system update ...". Then the device restarts up to the Samsung logo and then goes into bootloop.
I also always did "wipe data / factory reset" and "wipe cache partition" and then "reboot system now" via stock recovery, just before I rebooted the device. Alwas the same. At samsung logo bootloop.
I have attached 2 screenshots of the flash process (without errors).
I am at a loss. What else could be the reason? I hope you can give me more tips.
Update, second attempt.
I've added a few photos as I may be missing an important clue.
I don’t know, what i do wrong.
With ODIN v3.14 I flashed the right stock rom (picture 1) back, which was previously installed (picture 2). I paid close attention to BL AP, CP and CSC. Odin reports succeed 1, failed 0 (picture 3). But now my phone still restarting on samsung logo (it isn’t bootloop, sorry for the wrong description).
If I try to enter stock recovery - first it appears "installing system update", then "no command" and then it enter the stock recovery. I did „Wipe data/factory Reset“, „Wipe cache partition“ (picture 4) and then „Reboot system now“ (Successfully verify for dmverity hash tree). But no success. After the samsung logo lights up a few times, the smartphone restarts.
I installed again TWRP pro 3.2.1-1 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...2015-t3728264).
TWRP pro – WIPE data, cache and dalvik. Okay.
TWRP pro – INSTALL [ROM][J500xx][TW-7.1.1][v5.0] SEPerience-ROM A8 2018 Port (https://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...rom-t3796971)- without any changes. Okay.
TWRP pro – Wipe cache/dalvik. Okay.
With TWRP - "Reboot System" I restarted the smartphone
After „Reboot System“ – no restart on Samsung logo; the setup process started and after selection language and beginning selection WLAN, the system reported stopped something and then restart
After a short time the setup process started again – selection language, selection WLAN, selection terms and conditions – restart without any report
After a short time the setup process started again – selection language, selection WLAN (was already set up), selection terms and conditions, Searching for updates …. Finished. The desktop appears. But then without a reason – restart
After a short time the setup process started again – selection language, selection WLAN (was already set up), selection terms and conditions, Searching for updates …. Finished. The desktop appears. But then without a reason – restart
After a short time the setup process started again – The desktop appears immediately. And I can work with the smartphone perhaps 10 minutes – but then restart without any report
Can the error be further narrowed down? Is it a hardware or a software problem?
And the sim-card is not recognized.
I am at a loss.
And i don't know, why the pictures are not displayed
I bought a used motherboard. Problem solved.
My S8 G950F got stuck in a boot loop after an update. At first it would try to install updates on boot, then reboot, start turning on with "optimising apps" message but start rebooting again once the app count is finished. Now it shows "no command" after trying to install update on boot and goes to recovery mode, or tries to switch on and optimise apps again if put on charge.
There is a following error line showing in recovery mode log:
#fail to open recovery_cause(No such file or directory)#(Photos of the top and the bottom part of the screen in recovery menu attached - apologies for the quality)
Before this update (I didn't press update myself, it randomly started when rebooting) I had not updated for a while and had little space left, but "lacking storage booting" or safe boot do not work either. Partition cache wipe did nothing too.
My goal is to backup or pull the files from the phone. It is unrooted so adb backup doesn't work (there is an "update from adb" option in recovery mode and some sideload commands work in that mode but it doesn't seem to be useful). I would like to try and flash it with Odin - from what I understood flashing with HOME_CSC instead of CSC should leave files intact.
However, I read that it is important for CSC to match my current one and since it won't boot I can't access software information and don't know where to look for it. I am in the UK and bought the phone unlocked so it would suggest that the CSC code is either BTU or XEU, but I bought it on Amazon so wonder if it could be different? Can the CSC be different from the region I bought it in/am currently in? The only information I see in recovery mode above the options is:
9/PPR1.180610.011/G950FXXS8DTC6
This last bit, as I understand, is PDA. Is there a way to find out what the CSC is?
