Looks like they finally released 7.0.0 software for the 5x, NRD90M
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
yep time to factory flash. 6p is missing, sounds like there is more issues over there.
Just noticed, downloading now!
Already flashed. So far things are great and fluid. All my apps restored including data, did not even have to log in. Impressed.

Did you guys need to do a factory reset to flash to Android 7 from 6.0.1?
All restored by the android internal backup? Or did you use titanium or something else?

I've been holding it until the final release ... pushing the OTA now ...
"C:\Users\blabla\Downloads>adb sideload bullhead-ota-nrd90m-fdb8250a.zip
serving: 'bullhead-ota-nrd90m-fdb8250a.zip' (~56%)"
***Update: It finished, and working great so far! Since I pushed the OTA there was no need to reinstall any apps or restore app data. However, when I have some free time (2-3 hours), I'd like to do a fresh factory install to compare performance. I didn't run into any issues with the OTA yet.

Actually that's not true. It mostly depends from which DP you started receiving updates. eg. I clean installed DP5, which had some features removed (eg. night mode, and it's also missing from the final), whereas someone who started clean from DP1 will have it on the final. For the final I guess they were waiting to update the Google Apps, such as Connectivity Services which got updated after the final OTA.

No, fastboot
I'll do it late tonight when I have time to spend doing a full wipe. I'm not looking forward to the fight to root it though. From what I understand, Google is cracking down on rooting.
I had no real issues with OTA. Things seem to be even better after a fresh factory flash.

It's really really really hard to root this phone. Fastboot flashing TWRP then flashing SuperSU in TWRP is tough. I don't know how I ever did it.
When someone that knows what they are talking about says Android is getting harder to root, they mean for those that initially find it (chainfire), not the user. For you and I, it's only a matter of flashing a cute little zip in our custom recovery.

I understand that, but I read this article (a month old) talking about the secure boot and only being able to boot and use partial operating system features if it detects corruption, such as rooting.

I am having major wakelock issues on my OPO running PA 4.45. The battery life is impacted pretty badly and its incredibly annoying. It also seems like there is more then one wakelock keeping it awake, I have tried a few different solutions including greenify and juice defender (yes I am rooted) I know there are other threads about this and none of them seem to help... I'm sorry if I sound like a massive noob, but I'm new to this whole deal (I'm a iOS convert). I'm also very sorry that I cannot post any links to pictures as I have not yet met the requirement of 10 posts...

I will also note that the 'awake' bar is %100 blue whereas the 'screen on' bar is correct and shows blue only when the screen has been on.

So to switch to 4.46 beta 6 I just download the flashable .zip and put on my phone, clear the cache and dalvik and then flash the .zip and it should be good because I'm going from one 4.4.4 rom to another? So I upgraded to 4.6 beta 6 and the OTA updates are coming through for lollipop and all of them get me stuck in boot loops, I have tried wiping the cache/dalvik after getting stuck in the bootloop and it does nothing... I have to revert back to the NANDroid backup I made. The wakelock issue also persists.
Sent from my One using Tapatalk
You need newer firmware to update to lollipop.
For your wakelock issues, have a look at Google. Their services are known causes.

Previous chainfire supersu writes in the /system partion, specifically in /system/su directory. This makes some of the security conscience application to reject phones that has /system modified. The newer version of chainfire supersu relocate the files to /su directory, and can pass the security check provided the /su/xbin_bind symbolic link is removed.

Is there a workaround for getting Xposed to work or something similar that offers some tweaks?
A tip for someone new to ROMS and flashing. If you use Google Authenticator, or any other authenticator app, like Blizzard Authenticator, or Steam Mobile Guard, make sure you deactivate it before you flash anything.

I'd advise to wait on this.... especially if you try to flash back to 6.0.1, a lot of of had issues doing so and some have not been able to recover. Hey guys,
I would like to ask if anyone was in similar situation. I'm running the newest Pure Nexus rom. Everything was perfect till today. I was surfing on Chrome when phone restarted suddenly. And since that time it's in a bootloop. I tried to flash factory 6.0.1, 7.0, twrp and yet... nothing. Keeps bootlooping. Does it mean it's a hard brick? It's still under warranty though. I bought it from Best Buy on February, 2016. Man! I'm glad I haven't sold my Nexus 5. It's just so small.
Any ideas? Is it over?

@jamescable TRUTH!! With that being Said I would go back to full stock. I'm not sure of your method but I would use Nexus Root Toolkit v2.1.9 with a full wipe. The App will do it all for you. If that doesn't work then it's hardware related but at least it's back stock!
I can access fastboot and flash the newest factory image from Google. But can't get into recovery after flashing twrp nor do a full wipe. It keeps switching between unlocked bootloader warning and Google logo. No matter what I do. I'll try toolkit as you suggested after returning from work.

Yeah, I know. I mentioned it for reference. I'm getting stuck at Google logo no matter what I do. When I chose factory reset or recovery it gets stuck there. That happened yesterday while I was on chrome. Phone restarted without a reason and then it started.
I was on the newest PN. Then I flashed stock 7.0 and it's the same. I tried twrp and can't get into it as well.
