They'll laugh at that petition, and continue to focus on those customers who buy a new smartphone every year.

Asus isn't making money on the 551ml, they are done with it. The only Android company making money on the 551ml is Google with Google play.
Apple continues making money because their devices are interlocked to the Apple store.

Apple are charging an extra 100 bucks to have a stupid mainstream Apple on the back of the device. Why would i by an iPhone 4 when i could spend my money and buy an Android device with a quadcore and still have Money left to go out and get pi ssed for the month.
Android all the way. And every iPhone user just has it because of the supposed status of the device. Well I say screw that ill keep my android devices any day of the week over a stupid iPhone that only has 12 months of support
Again a fail apple. You are by law required to provide 24 months of support in the EU so no thanks

I paid £600 exactly in UK and it came with an hbh20 BT headset. Think there's a few more weeks til it's stateside, heard rumours about 11th October... They didn't officially announce it here at all, just turned up in stock on 11th and luckily I was keeping an eye out. Awesome phone, man, just awesome, hope you get yours soon, be good to have you on their forum.
The 6802 is available I think which is the 3g version.

T-mobile Development

Why is it we get the last of all the ports..
I think it's because the devs have the att and Verizon variants atleast we get it they could say f**k us
Sent from my LG-D801 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Realistically, probably because T-Mobile will probably have the smallest buy base. But, in the end it shouldn't be too much of a hindrance given how close the T-Mo variant is to both the AT&T version, and the international version. The roms will come no doubt. Just be patient.

And you he won't release it until people actually test it.
If no one is willing to test it, there's no reason to continue development

Wait. I've been waiting him the release the test ROM for it to pop up on the T-Mobile development area. Where is it?
I don't quite understand why T-Mobile hasn't been posted. The device tree is ready, but not posted. Really bums me out. If he'd post it, I'd build it myself.

Thank god I have Jump.
It's because everyone else is locked in 2 year contracts. It will take time before everyone realizes how much better it is to go with T-Mobile.. I just jumped ship from sprint a month before my contract ends.. SO WORTH IT!
I like how when/if I pay off my phone in 2 years, my bill will actually drop whatever my phone payments were.. With other 2 year contracts, you keep paying the same price even if you don't upgrade your phone.. Ohhh I could go on and rant about the other carriers, but yes more and more hopefully will go to T-Mobile and start making some roms here.

Honestly, I don't see the point. Verizon doesn't want an unlockable bootloader on their devices. There is nothing that can make that happen. They don't want to have to deal with the support issues. If you want a phone with a unlockable bootloader, don't buy a Verizon phone. It is not that complicated. A petition has no bearing on Verizon's decision. There isn't enough customers who really want to unlock their phone's bootloader to install a custom rom.
So good luck to all 17 of you!

I find it amazing you can reply to this thread twice, with no intentions of helping out your fellow xda'er. Why did you even bother replying? It does not take much time to sign the petition. Less then it took you to reply twice, that's for sure.
There's really nothing amazing about two posts. The time wasted here can be matched evenly with, say, signing this junk.
Here's to being blissful time spenders!

Where is our MM

Didn't Samsung say February for marshmallow on our Note 4? Or was it March? Either way no update what so ever this month?
It was scheduled for this month.
Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
This mo? Don't think so. The note 5, international mind you, has only just started seeing it as of yesterday so I wouldn't expect ours until towards the end of the second quarter at least. Besides you'll see an rdf pop up 1st once they actually start working on it then many more rdf versions until a final release. I'm dropping this phone the day the new g5 drops anyway. It's just uneceptible the g4 has marshmallow since Christmas along with practicality every other manufacturer except Samsung. The g5 looks to be a killer device too. Hope they really sink Samsungs ship with it honestly. Especially after the update fiasco for the note 4 last year. Typical Samsung fashion though. Rant over.
Sent from my SM-N910P using XDA Free mobile app
Well the g5 was released and I gotta say I'm disappointed. 5.3 in screen size? That'll just be hard to use coming from this.

+1
The G5 is a two-lens modular multi-featured camera pretending to be a smart phone.
If I want a modular high-quality digital camera, I'll buy one with a couple lenses I can switch between.
I want a smart phone, and I'm happy if it has nice camera features.
Each to his/her own, though.

Perhaps the release from Samsung was scheduled for this month - but Samsung releases to the carriers, at least in Sprint's case, and then the carrier does their thing with it until they deem it ready to release to their customers. Samsung doesn't set Sprint's schedule

International version would probably get it 1st before anyone then if that goes ok then they would release it to the carriers. At least that's how it usually goes. I've been keeping a close eye on sammobile for that to happen so hopefully soon.

Not necessarily - just because Sprint releases later than the international carriers doesn't mean that they receive it later. It's generally bad practice to openly treat some of your customers as guinea pigs for the benefit of the others, so it's more likely that Samsung sends out its generic rom to all carriers at the same time and Sprint just takes longer to add their proprietary bloat. It's also likely that Sprint waits to announce the upcoming version for the same reason xda devs don't do ETAs - because too many people take "estimate" to mean "promise" and get upset when delays happen.

It doesn't matter - either way brings us back to my original point, that Samsung's release dates are meaningless to us. We could get our update the next day, a year later, or never, with equal probability. The only useful deduction we can make from their release date is that we definitely *won't* see our update before that date, which really isn't very useful at all

Doze? Don't need it. I set my phone down on a wireless charger. It doesn't drain slowly, it charges.
Maybe after 8 months or more when they iron out all the issues, I'll consider it. By then, I'll probably have a new phone.
