SIM not detecting - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

I had installed cm13 provided by @ashwin007 yet SIM not detected so I thought of going back to stock ROM and I installed it via fastboot as said by @yeshwanthvshenoy but the tragedy is the SIM card is not detected in stock ROM also, now I m out of idea......can any one give remedy???

Try to lock bootloader
Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

Have you clean wiped ?? It occurs if there's dirty flash. Try again with custom ROM, and see any other is facing same.
( I still dint unlocked mine so dint use any ROM )

See to be precise, first flash the stock ROM then flash the cm13 and use only "one sim".I had the same issue, first I had only one sim inserted so the ROM worked with single sim,but after inserting 2nd sim card I got a message sim card not detected. So flashed stock then flashed cm13 and use 1 sim only will work fine.

Yes I have clean wiped the stock ROM...but the problem still exists

Which ROM did you flash and tell your model of Indian variant.

don't relock bootloader now it may brick the device -__- i faced this issue when i flashed wrong stock rom check this thread for stock rom for your phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/index-moto-g4-plus-factory-firmware-t3409033 yeah for xt1643 u need to flash stock for xt1641 or else ur sim won't get detected i guess they messed up naming the files but it happened to me so trust me

F320S SIM Card not detected

Hated stock rom so rooted using ioroot, flashed TWRP and installed G3 port ROM
Inserted SIM card but phone wouldn't detect
Reflashed baseband thinking that would help, no luck.
Decided to revert to stock
Flashed the 4.2.2 KDZ - I was dumb and didn't notice it was 4.2 not 4.4
Still no sim card detected
Flashed 4.4.2 KDZ
Still no SIM card detected.
The SIM itself is fine and I've tried another SIM with same problem.
The IMEI is showing up correct. Could I have killed the EFS partition when installing custom ROM? Would that mess with the SIM card detection?
Help please. Much appreciated
I am having the same issue. Can someone help us?

Check your phone's baseband, probably not the cause but yeah.
Try to clean the simcard
Try to clean the simcard tray
See or your phone might be simlocked or something like that.
maybe try to logcat and watch in the logs something to sim related text.
I can't give you ideas based on experience.
EDIT: I saw your other thread.
So you have flashed F400(G3) rom on a F320(G2)?
If so then my question to you is, is your wifi working? Cause flashing could may have caused some issues with the partition layout. I don't think there will be big differences/no differences but just to be sure.
Did you also tryed to flash back to stock and or flash baseband?
Was sim working before you flashed the rom? What rom did you flashed from the g3? Just so I could maybe inspect the updater-script if it isn't too large to see or it may got other partitions.

Did you find the solution bro
I'm having the same problem. I was on some old CM13.1 rom for LG G2 VS980 and releases prior to it, sim card was working without a problem. But only last night after updating from 10day old CM13.1 nightbly build with yesterday latest build, the sim card stopped working.
I tried method online which said to remove the card for one minutes before booting. Did it and didn't work.
What can I do now?

You need to flash your device modem files. Is it your baseband unknown or not..?

even i had this problem but i solved it. so first check u r imei number is present r not by dailing the number *#06# a box will popup if it is empty means u have to flash the IMEI first. or it is present means then u can give a clean flash by mi flash tool with the latest rom. just try this if you have any problems while flashing means then try the stock rom which is meant to be for flashing in the recovery. because i have tried both and both where success.

REDMI 2 Doesn't boot after jio sim insert

I have a redmi 2 8gb variant with model 2014818. I am currently on AOKP MM ROM. I have an Idea sim card as my primary number. I tried putting jio in the second slot and the phone didn't boot. So i swapped their places and my phone didn't boot. Phone shows MI splash and reboots again. The only way that i can get my phone to start is by putting either one of these sims. As soon as a put both, my phone does not start again. What should I do? Should I try another ROM and edit this post in the upcoming days or is there any solution to my problem out there?
NOTE:- My phone is Redmi2 and not Redmi 2 Prime.
Same happened with me, try flashing miui fastboot rom, and follow procedure to flash a custom rom.
Read the post by me.Hope, that will help you.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-2/how-to/roms-kernels-mods-t3483670
Or try this :-
1)remove both sim. Now insert any other sim than jio in 1sd slot(keep 2nd slot empty) and let it boot(may be there will be some reboot).
2)Now insert jio sim in 1st slot(keep 2nd slot empty) and let it boot.
3)Now insert other sim in 2nd slot(keep 1st slot empty) and let it boot.
4)Now put both sim and let it boot(jio in 1st slot and other sim in 2nd slot).

still going nowhere and now my fastboot drivers are corrupted!! My pc cant detect device in fastboot mode, but is seen in adb mode. So i cant even flash stock miui to test your method.
just remove both of ur sim and insert jio in sim 1 slot...then go to recovery then wipe and factory reset ur rom and reboot it will work for u if not then wipe everything and flash any stable custom rom ..
well..i have a solution... same happened with me
.
download cm14.1
download cm recovery
download fastboot rom for ur device
flash cm recovery and 14.1 via cm recovery(recommended)
then flash fastboot rom
problem solved for me..hope that works for u as well.
if it works let me know at [email protected]

Quick help please? No SIM detected

Hi, I've unlocked my phone, rooted it and flashed Franco kernel and my phone didnt see my SIM card installed... So I de-rooted it, flashed with MiFlash stock oreo so my phone is clean, but I still cant see my SIM card installed, can you please help me? Thanks...
This is a bug on some phones running stock rom
I've found out that stock rom has this issue but xiaomi still hasn't fixed it.
Some custom roms such as AEX rom doesn't have this bug.
If you really wanna stay on stock, you can restart many times until it detects the sim card

(SIM 1)
I tried another sims but still nothing, and these aren't broken or something, tho I'm seeing that Miui 12 has already the problem about non detecting SIM, Soo.. I'll try Fastboot ROM Miui 11 Android 9
Okay, i solved it, tho im a newbie, there was some videos about how to fix it, the first step is flash the stock rom / not the miui 12 one for me, it has problems with detecting chips in some telecom companies like Claro or Telcel, wich mine was Telcel, so i flashed the fastboot rom ( miui 11 android 9) , and at this point, it wasnt detecting the chip still, but somehow i could recieve calls and everything, but now being in miui 11, the 2nd step is restore de cqn file, im not gonna post it but ill give the video where i got it, but with the programs and all that, you can restore de qcn file via diag, thats all, there some videos about how to pass to miui 12 without these problems but idk, heres the videos
stock rom via fastboot
restore cqn file( no sim detected)
that was all, see ya
