So i'm just curious, what is the fastest charging current of the Moto X play? And how fast does it charge in 15 minutes (How much percentage)?

OOooooohhh is that so? I didn't know about that, no wonder. But frankly my phone was shutdown and when I plugged the QC 2.0 charger in it said "turbo charge" exactly an hour ago, it's from 3% ~ 66% now.

I'll check it later cause it already fully charged, Hey does QC 3.0 charger works on MXP? I mean it can only support 2.0 from what i've read, and if it does how fast can it charge?
Edit: I got 1880 mAh maximum, which charger do you have?
Cable quality and/or lenght are probably the culprit here rather than the charger IMHO.

Hey thanks! I already have a dock though.
In my post I asked what the charging output was for the HD dock.
Sent from my Atrix using XDA App
USB 2 is 500ma, USB 3 is 900ma, Moto charger has 850ma rating on it. If you have a USB 3.0 port you can use you'll get enough power from that. I use the 3.0 on my laptop at work, and it charges fine.
How can we find out the charging output of the multimedia dock?

Do the differences matter much? Just one takes longer to charge then the other?

Yes one charges faster that's it. For heavy users like myself, getting the most juice as conveniently as possible is a plus.
I also like to charge my phone on the dock and keep my usb cable in the truck for playing music. I only want to do so if I can find out what the dock is putting out. When I need juice I need it as quickly as possible.

If your only getting 500mA your phone will take hours to charge and then only if your not running wifi, Bluetooth or gps. Use any of those and plugging it in will just prolong discharge but not actually charge it. With just GPS running I pull over 700mA. I'm really tempted to put a female end with resistors (to fool the phone into thinking it’s on AC power or it'll never pull more than 500mA) on a split wire usb mini cable for charging at work.
I finally used my brain and checked my chargers. Here's the specs
Standard charger: 850mA
HD multimedia dock: 1.2A

This is interesting as I have issues getting my Atrix to charge in the car dock. I have the ATT boxed car dock with ecomoto dual USB. It simply will not charge in the dock. Connected direct to the car charger and it's super fast to charge. Maybe the ecomoto isn't capable of charging the phone in the car dock.

Mine too, I find it very strange. However, when I use 2amp car charger, then its all good lol. 1.2amp of stock charger must be not good enough
The phone only draws about 800mA maximum, so a 1.2A charger is more than enough, and a 2A charger will make no difference.

Sounds like there might be something wrong with your charger. Try a different charger if you have one.

Well, its not only me, I've seen bunch of people having the same thing. Lots of defective chargers or perhaps custom roms play role in it?
At times when I leave my phone for charging overnight it stops at a particular percentage and starts discharging. In certain cases with the original charger the phone at times continuously flips between charging and discharging.

I had the same problem with mine! Stock charger is GARBAGE! Use something else!
Doesn't anything discharge when no electricity is pumping through the battery? The electricity cuts off when its full. So basically I think the power from the charger bypasses the battery but continues through the phone.
Is there a way to fast charge the Galaxy S4?
I believe that feature needs to be built into the kernel for it to work. The "secure settings" app in the market lists fast charge as a custom rom option, but I could be wrong.

Qualcomm has what it calls quickcharge built into their snapdragon chips. The s800 is supposed to charge faster than the s600 too!

Computer chargers are only rated to deliver 500 ma of current while the Samsung charger that comes with the phone will deliver over 2 amps. Basically the wall charger outputs out over 4 times as much power vs. computer usb ports.
My s4 with stock wall charger (2.1a) charges insanely fast. Much more so than my s3.

Hi,
Are you sure it's not the cable that is causing the problem? Does the device uses the whole current when charging from the factory wall charger? It's either this or your Powerbank doesn't give you the proper current.

using the cable on a wall chargee gives me 1200mAh average
1900mAh maximum
so i don't think it's an issue.
furthermore, I am able to chage an iPad using the same powerbank and it charges nicely.
i was just thinking i saw something in before where it changes the current from USB.
well thanks anyway. i guess i'll have to replace ny powerbank

Maybe its because your pc isn't capable of the 2000 mAh that the original charger provides, neither 1000 mAh what a normal charger has. My USB hub also gives the slow charging, it just gives around 500 mAh I think, that's why your phone says it's charging slow
