Camera Error with Stock Rom, with CM ok - Galaxy S3 Neo Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Yeah I know there are a few Threads about similar Problem, but I have this only with Stock Rom!
I'm using a S3 Neo 9301I -> When I flash any CM ROM of this Site Camera is working fine!
I'm now on CM12.1 from Rox this Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-neo/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-s3-neo-t3099384
Camera is working perfectly! Now i wanted to sell my Phone and the User wants back Stock Rom. I thought that would be easy used Odin and try every German Stock Rom of the 3 Known Sites (from this Forum) and even SamFirm to download Stock Rom. After every Stock Rom Flash I get same Error:
Servererror, Camera has to restart! I try to Wipe cache, Factory Reset... Same Error! Then I flash back any CM-> Camera is working! Any Idea to solve this Problem?

You downloaded firmware for another device... there is two versions... XC and XX download another than is yours.

Hm okay, I did not try the T-mobile Version, cause I thought that might be for T-Online branded Smartphones. But I will try it thanks for this Idea.

[Q] How to go back to official samsung rom ?

Hi all,
I have a Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 with a carrier rom and I want to have the samsung official rom.
I downloaded the stock from from this link: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=29362
I tried flashing it with odin V3.09, but when the phone loads it is still with the carrier's rom...
How can I completely remove the carrier's rom and have only the Samsung offical stock rom ?
Should I use Philz recovery to install the rom from zip after a factory reset ?
I'm not 100% sure, but I think you can't because the bootloader is locked down.
There's still no way to unlock the bootloader right now.

I'm not sure what you want, exactly. The 'carrier' version of TouchWiz isn't super different from the 'standard' TouchWiz. Maybe a few apps are added and the correct APNs and stuff are included. But the base ROM is still TouchWiz.
You can get custom TouchWiz roms that have more features than the stock one, but that look and perform just like the stock one. Those are carrier debloated (usually)
Or you can just root the phone and manually remove all the carrier bloat that you don't like and give yourself a 'pure Touchwiz' rom.
If none of that appeals to you there is also AOSP roms, which have none of the TouchWiz UI and look like like a Nexus device.

Hi mate ,
ILO is the unbranded version , should not have any of the carriers bloatware on it ..but it will have Samsungs....
Did the flashing went ok? if you still have philz recovery installed after flashing something went wrong
BTW bootloader is not locked.
Flashing went fine but with no change at all

Hi,
Thanks for your help.
The flashing went fine, but the loaded up like I haven't flashed it.
It was the same like before I flashed it...

Hi mate ,
After flashing what recovery you have installed?
Any Odin errors during flashing?
Check this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477
Flash the rom with PIT file ( any of the ones you see there) then after you confirm that the flashing went ok flash the ILO firmware

Try flashing the latest stock ROM for your model S5 from sammobile & use ODIN to flash it, then factory reset the new ROM

I tried that. But then my Wifi does not store any passwords.
Is it possible that all these problems are caused by wrong modem?
This is a SM G900I and im using a modem for a G900F (ANG2, KERNEL_G900FXXU1ANG2).
Unfortunately I dont know where to get the latest modem for the G900I.
As well my LTE is not working here in Germany.
If you get a stock ROM from sammobile dot com for your exact model S5, you should get the correct modem and everything designed for that S5

Okay, I did that. Within this step I upgraded to Android 5.0. My device did not store a single Wifi password, but the camera worked fine. Flashing back to stock 4.4.2 Wifi works fine, but the camera is broken!
Any Idea?
Sounds like Samsung need to fix some bugs
Maybe try a custom ROM, that way if you encounter any problems, you have direct contact with the dev to try and get it fixed

[Q] Camera Problem "Server error occurred. Restart Camera."

Hello everyone, I apologize in advance for my bad English. I had installed CyanogenMOD 12.1 for my galaxy s3 neo GT-i9301i, I was not pleased and decided to support the stock rom. I downloaded the firmware from sammobile.com. My region is Bulgaria had 4 available firmware. Installed firmware with Odin v3.10 everything went well, but when I ran camera message "Error Server. Reboot Camera." Then I tried another 3 firmware, but the camera did not go with any of them. I was forced to return to CM 12.1 and my camera works without problem. Please help.
PS: the camera works perfectly on CyanogenMod 11 but when installing the stock it does not work, so I installed CyanogenMod camera works again, so I do not think it's a hardware problem should be software

There are 2 types of firmware depending on your camera sensor:
1. http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/38993/I9301IXCUANJ4_I9301IOXXANI3_BGL/
2. http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/34531/I9301IXXUANH1_I9301IOXXANH1_BGL/
Just make sure before and after flashing things to do a complete factory reset from recovery to be sure nothing sticks from the old flash.
One of them must do the trick.
Thanks for the reply. After each Flashing with stock rom make factory reset from recovery. Today I will try again and write the result

Btw if your camera works on rox CM11, 12 and 12.1 then this http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/34531/I9301IXXUANH1_I9301IOXXANH1_BGL/ should work for you since rox roms work out of the box on this sensor.

After 6.0.1 update, cant flash any customs roms at all. Only stock works.

Hi,
Wonder if anyone has come across this issue before. While Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F) BTU was on Lollipop, I could flash what ever custom roms I wanted. However since updating to MarshMallow 6.0.1, any custom rom I install results in constant resets on boot.
So instead of boot looping its reset looping. I can see for some reason it will not create Cache / Dalvik Cache mounts, maybe that has something to do with it, I dont know. I know I have spent hours trying to work out issue.
because of bootloader/cp. you have to flash lollipop ones if you want to intall any branch of cm. cm13 will work with MM bl/cp eventually

I was searching and searching without answer. Now works, .
Every time I searched for anything with reset in it, it kept giving me bootloop threads, .
