As far as I know, none of the available .35 ROMs include x5 Settings.apk. I am mostly interested in the use of the internal microphone while having headphones connected. Is it possible to install it somehow (maybe transfer it from a .32 ROM) or does it need support from the ROM itself?

This. For me, it's the only thing that keeps me going to .32 ROMS all the time. I'm trying to keep ICS aurora, but it's very hard not to be able to make calls while using headphones or using my car's speakers.
AFAIK,the only way to enable force mic with headphones in .35 ROMS is by using this kernel by ksatta. I doesn't work with Aurora ICS ROM but it works with stock .35 and CM7.35, so if you are using any of those, it enables that option for you.

I can extract the .apk file from a .32 rom myself, but would it have any effect on a .35 rom?

Doesn't work. The only sound setting that x5settings version has is call volume, and I'm really not sure if that even works...
i see. i hope we see it implemented sometime. it's the reason why i do not upgrade to .35 kernel.

As ksatta states, his kernel is compatible with stock 2.3 rom.

allready tryed but my synaptics is still jumping 3 on 3 pixels, and i dont want it, i want it fluid passing scroling pixel by pixel.

why don't only use a custom kernel ? Beside support swap and amarullz , it has a lot of governor too

for now i used savie kernel rev73 but it make my device take long boot time

Does anyone know about any sgy kernel with ip tables in them because i need to use a proxy and hells fusion for some odd reasin isnt working right because any proxy i use proxy droid or orbot right after i turn em on the internet does not work anymore so yes does anyone know of any kernel with iptables ? hahahaha, because your kernel still the most stable one for the stock rom sir, i have two galaxy y, one i use CM7 based rom and the other one use stock based, and i'm still using your kernel till now... :victory:

use stock kernel with wifi fix i found it to be the best in respect to performence and battery if you want i can give you the link to it
