I know this has nothing to do with the nexus s. Is anybody else having problems not seeing posted photos in tapatalk? Sometimes all of the pictures show, sometimes none do. Sometimes some show, sometimes they'll show after leaving a thread and going back. I've googled, searched the tapatalk forums, etc. There isn't really any mention of it anywhere. Is there some setting I may have unchecked? I've looked 10 times, I can't find any picture settings. It is probably something stupid I'm overlooking...
Thanks!

I haven't gotten this problem as much since using Tapa2 but when it does happen I just tap the post and Multi Quote and they show up. Thanking a post does it too but I don't want to thank something before I see what it is

I just got my phone today but I feel like it is getting a little too warm. I installed system tuner to check the temps and seems like I am running about 47-50C on regular use. And it gets up to 60C while charging and It feels warm in hand. Curious to know what are your temps? Thanks.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
Mine is 40-45 regular use. Gaming is 50. Haven't tried charging yet.
Charging is 48

System tuner app.

I have been asking this in few threads lately and no one yet to answer. I installed system tuner to check the cpu temperatures and seems to be a little high compare to other devices that I owned. With regular use the temps seems to be around 45-50C and with heavy use and gaming it would go up to 60C. The device also feels a little warm around the camera area. I would appreciate if someone could check their temps. Thanks.

Those temperatures are very normal... The phone feels so hot because the back is glass.

Could you check the temps with system tuner by chance? Curious to know what are your readings. Thanks

Hottest mine got was 108°f(very hot in hand), I deleted some Google apps and it's been running great since... Better battery also

108F is about 42C, which is not hot at all. Mine gets over that while texting.

Haven't measured, but mine gets SUPER hot sometimes. Usually when playing games, or like last night, I was on skype for ~4 hours. It get's hot, but I would expect it or any device to get hot when doing that type of stuff.

I don't own one but those temps are right in line with the average desktop pc. I think once temps hit about 65-70C under heavy load, then there is reason for concern.

Yeah...my Captivate gets just as warm to the touch (or warmer) with its aluminum back.

Mine got up to something like 42 degrees C yesterday while browsing. Got the temperature readout using Cool Tool. Heat was mainly around the top / camera area where I assume the antenna is.
38° C max and that's when i m charging and using the phone.

Are you sure that is not the battery temp? It just sounds very low!

42 is not hot. Its warm. To qualify as hit it has to reach at least 50.

I'm starting to wonder if my N4 is defective since I haven't had any real heat issues. It gets a little warm but no more than my GNex did and nowhere near as hot as my Sensation was.
I had it in my pocket today and it was hot I felt the heat on my flesh I pulled it out it was hoooot idk why will get hot on idle

Trying out some different kernels and noticed the three common settings are stock 446 and 484. Most are going back to 446. Was there a problem with 24/7 484?

Every device performs different than the other. I over clocked mine at 520mhz and it's been very stable for 3 days so far no problems. My fps when I ran nenamark 2 went from 55.2fps to 59.9fps

I just got this phone 3 days ago and noticed the phone gets hot like 105°F just browsing on Chrome. Anyone else having this issue?
I came from the Note 3 and that phone never got hot just browsing.

Mine gets hot while playing games. That's it. I don't have the temp displayed on screen, just going off of feel. Is there anything else running in the background?
I wouldn't be too concerned about 105°F either way. My Xperia could be used as a heating pad and was still running strong after nearly 2 years of use. Really wish I hadn't dropped it.
Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
Something you an try is turning down the screen brightness a lot. What I would do if I were you would be check out the thread about lowing the resolution to 1080p. The phone will run cooler and be a little snappier since the GPU won't be nearly as taxed. The only issue you will have would be if you use moto display. The camera is a little off too, but you get used to clicking below the video button to record. Also, you are not going to notice the resolution difference
Seems to be better now. I was using Nova Launcher when I first set it up, and I'm using Google Now Launcher and seems to be normal now. Either that or it's settled now.

This topic has been discussed since the phone was released. Its display and GPU. I am rooted running trupure with frankenkirk and 1080p display setting. All is better and haven't had any heating issues like the stock ROM. I believe display setting will screw up moto features..
42 Celcius here using chrome, and sometimes Youtube, complety stock ( not unlocked)
My previous phone was a Moto G 2013, the temperature raise is normal, but for me is a disappointment

Try a different kernel. Stock seems to keep all cores at max for best user experience. This however gets the phone hot and reduces battery life.

I haven't made the switch to 1080p yet. The room and qhd are working fine for me. The only time my phone gets hot is when playing games for a certain amount of time. Other than that, I haven't had any heating issues.
I just notice I get better battery with 1080p setup. Also helps with phone not getting too hot as well when playing games.

I can just root it and do the 1080p hack right? I don't want to flash a Rom.

It should work with no problems. Usually it is launchers, apps, and widgets that are specific to manufacturers (i.e. Samsung and LG interface, apps, and widgets) that are the issue. With Motorola keeping this phone almost true to vanilla, there should be very little if any issues changing resolution.

105°F.... Probably not much to worry about. If this was a Celsius reading, then it would definitely be an issue.

It will break moto display. I don't use any moto app/system that came with the phone. That could also add to better battery. Follow the instruction for 1080p. Just make sure root, SU installed, and terminal emulator. When you set it up, you will see your screen resolution change.
