So, I've fixed my 0049 IMEI again. Previously I fixed it but the problem was my Wi-Fi Mac address was changed. At that time I was surviving on Root apps that are designed to temporarily change Mac but after 1 or 2 hours the Mac is changed back to 00:90:....... I couldn't find any permanent method to change back to original. Then I tried to change ROM but it mad ethe IMEI null again.
So now I've done the whole process to fix the IMEI and the same problem is back again. Now I need your help in making the Wi-Fi MAC address same again as was in original because my phone isn't connecting to any Wi-Fi network due to this.

Hey everybody,
I recently acquired a Nexus 7 tablet that came with 4.2.1.
I used Wug's NRT to Make a back up, Unlock it and then root it.
Few minutes later it asked me to update to 4.2.2, but silly me didn't think further on the consequences so I updated to 4.2.2.
Now I lost root, adb is offline and I can't use the NRT to install TWRP and restore to my 4.2.1 version.
I've ran NRT a couple times and even reisntalled the drivers to see if I could be able to do the previously mentioned operations by selecting "Any build" on the Root Toolkit but all my attempts have been unsuccessful.
So, my question is... what exactly am I supposed to do to get adb online and then root my device again. I already have the bootloader unlocked.
UPDATE: Well it may have been a driver problem since I'm using Windows 8. I switched to a Windows 7 computer and I was able to do the process flawlessly!

Problem number 2:
My Nexus can connect flawlessly to my home WIFI network, but when I try to connect to my school's public routers it goes on loop saying "Optaining IP..." , "Connecting...", etc.
I have tried switching the options to Static IP and putting in an IP (Say 192.168.1.50) and I can connect to the router, but I have no access to the internet.
This leads me to believe that this is a problem with the Gateway and DNS fields.
For DNS I left it as it was (8.8.8.8) and for Gateway IP I input 192.168.1.254 but I wasn't successful and I still couldn't connect to the internet.
Due to the fact that I was able to connect to the router, I believe it's not a problem with the Nexus' chip, I also think that the router configuration does not need to be edited in any way.
I believe it's the Gateway and IP fields that need to have the correct information, the problem is, that I don't know where/how to obtain that information.
When I checked on my home network and switched to Static IP, I saw how both Gateway IP and DNS were 192.168.1.254.
Maybe if I switch those addresses to that it'll work?
Also, I've been reading around that people have this problem mostly with 4.2.2. Do you guys think rolling to 4.2.1 will fix this problem? I rely on my tablet a lot when I'm on school and It would be a pain to have to go through the tedious process of finding the Gateway and DNS IPs of all the modems around the school.
Thanks.
HELP,
My S5 forgets wifi passwords when wifi is disconnected... HELP ME please...
I have the last rom G900FXXU1ANG9.
My S5 doesn't have the problem you cite.
We can't see your phone though and you didn't provide any meaningful amount of information to help us narrow anything down. You should describe, step by step and in detail how you are connecting to wifi. And provide a description or at least screen shot of your wifi settings. Without that critical information it's rather hard for anyone to tell if you are missing any steps or doing something that has this effect.

SG5 Lost Wifi Passwords
Here is my dilemma. I've rooted the phone and looked at the wpa_supplicant.conf file with Root Explorer. Now when I connect to my router the network shows up fine. The psk number is not the correct number/password that I put in.
The line says: psk- 5391587b25ee56324ed273114c137303. When ever I put the correct password in this is what shows up.
When I reboot the phone I have to enter the correct password and it connects but doesn't save it in the psk I believe. It just shows up with a number like above.
I also have an Lg 8" tablet that I've rooted and when I look at the same file it shows the correct password.
Any help would be appreciated.
BTW when I disconnect from the router and leave the house and return the phone will connect to the router of course the wifi is on. When I turn the wifi off then back on or when I turn the phone off and reboot the next day I have to put the password in. When I looked at the psk again I get the above number.
Thanks in advance.

People do you even have a solution for my WiFi problem? I have been asking this on several forums but unfortunately I get no reply, my N6P is no more detecting WiFi signals and Bluetooth. I literally get only loading screen on my WiFi panel and end up loading at the end only. I flashed stock images as referred by one of my friend but unfortunately nothing happend N6P without a WiFi is boring guys please help.
I don't get Bluetooth signals also
There is also no IP address seen and it is showing unavailable and MAC address in 20:00:00:00 from long time
I have been done flashing stock firmware images of Oreo and Nougat.
One day long back it's been months, I once tried flashing custom kernel it suddenly worked then I don't know when it disappeared.
Anything related to kernel and the signals of WiFi and btooth ?
Your help will be appreciated guys help

If you have already wiped your phone completely by formatting the partitions and flashing the stock image using flash-all.bat script, there is nothing else to do. Both Wi-Fi and BT are on the Broadcom chip soldered on the motherboard. Try again. Ensure you have the latest ADB/Fastboot binaries on your PC. Connect your phone to the PC and fastboot format (not erase) system, userdata, cache partitions and then use the batch file included with the full image. This will return your phone to bone stock. If you still have the problem, the motherboard and/or chip is bad. If you have "already done that", you are at the end of the road.
I flashed a new rom and now the phone connects to my home wifi but fails to get an ip address.
I have tried other roms that worked in the past but no dice, the error reproduces every single time
I wiped data, formatted it, made a factory reset, flashed roms following the instructions but i havent been able to fix it.
Anyone can give me a hand with this?
Does the phone know its WiFi MAC address
If custom ROM affected your Persist, phone lost its MAC address and cannot connect to WiFi - you should restore your original Persist
But then you probably also lost certificate for DRM L1 (and AFAIK that cannot be restored)
Price for playing with some custom ROMs
Check about Persist in other threads here under Q/A and Guides, things were discussed couple of times (I dunno more, my Persist is still ok)
Thanks a bunch, mate. It shows wifi and Bluetooth mac address, so it looks like that is ok, unless im checking in the wrong place.
