How to root Z00A??(MM beta .111 build) - ZenFone 2 General

Guys, I want to root my Z00A (MM beta -- .111 build). Is there a way without unlocking the bootloader, also I want to know whether the Asus official bootunlocker tool can be used in this MM build.
Thanks in advance.

You can root it with temporary recovery, I use it for rooting 61 and installing xposed.

How to root Lollipop 5.0.2?

Hello everyone! I have manually installed Lollipop 5.0.2 in my Nexus 7 wifi but I don't know how to root it. I have been reading in google that to root Lollipop is a little more complicated than KitKat. Can I flash SuperSu from the recovery or I need to flash a custom kernel first?
Thanks!
You should probably try the NRT (Nexus Root Toolkit) by WugFresh. I rooted my tablet in 2 minutes with that!

Geez.
Throw on TWRP with fastboot then use it to flash ChainFire SuperSU update, update the binaries from there.

Ok! I used this method with KitKat. Are you sure that it works in Lollipop too? What about the modified kernel? Is it necessary?
SuperSu v2.45 is ok?
Thanks!

Worked for me. Shouldn't affect the kernel you already have.
Don't know what chainfires current version is.
Or you could try CF Autoroot.
I used UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.37.zip but there's probably a later one by now.

SuperSU isn't working great for our device for root access so that's why it's stuck where it's at. Read up here http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...rom-stock-rooted-debloated-x1575-6-0-t3262242 and restore your phone and install one of these backups and do not use SuperSU to root for now. Hope this helps.

Sure does! I also just read that... But this way is a safer bet for people that don't wanna mess with flashing multiple files. I myself just want a systemless root with stock recovery which I have obtained finally. Problem is LOTS of posts in these forums are giving different instructions and there is no clear method for everyone unless you end up reading the proper one first.

Fastboot file for kenzo?
hi,
I have an unlocked (bootloader) RN3 running MIUI 7.5.3.
Can i download the OTA update you mentioned in the link and update my RN3 to MIUI 8 8.0.1.0 using the build it updater application ?
Will it wipe all my data ?
Thanks
@farhantahir
Hi,
I have few questions please answer.
I am on global stable 7.5.3 with office unlocked bootloader and twrp installed. The phone is rooted and xposed installed as well.
1) should I update full recovery rom via twrp? with wiping all data?
2) does this rom re-lock the bootloader? if yes, can i again unlock it via mi unlock tool easily?
3) after flashing full rom do i also need to flash universal patch.img or lazy flasher to avoid bootloop?
4) superSU and xposed will work?
5) is the VOLTE support there in this rom?
thanks for your support
thanks
Thanks a lot bro.

If u have only unlocked bootloader and didn't rooted and flashed twrp then u can update via updater app. If u have flashed twrp then u can flash full recovery rom. And no u will not loose any data.

1-Ya u can flash full recovery rom via cofface twrp.
2- No bootloader is not locked again.
3-No need to flash patched boot.img if u use cofface.
4- Root and xposed will be disabled but flashing zips again restores modules to same state.
5- its official rom so i guess there will be volte support.

The LUA-U22 may be the 3G model, with the older chipset. That's why it may work. So far there is no known method to root the 4G version (LUA-L22).

u need to unlock BL. no unlock = no root.
if you are still interested to root:
1. Backup your TA (or not, it's your choice)
2. flash TWRP
3. Install Magisk
Is there already Root for the G8141 Pie?
