Hey everyone,
I have a new problem with my moto x play on XDRom.
Out of reason, my moto x play stopped having signals.
I tried to remove and reinsert SIM card but nothing happened.
I think it started when I removed GhostCommander and Hacker Keyboard apk in /system/apps and priv-apps.
Is it possible that removing them cause the booting to stop somewhere?
Thanks for every possible track we can find!
EDIT: If I go on SIM Cards in Settings it shows me SIM Slot 1 SIM1 - XXXXXXXXXXX (which is my phone number) so I guess my sim card is recognize..
Solution: For anyone if it happens, my cell kinda unregistered from my carrier network so I had to reconnect to it. But now I'm having disconnections.
Edit: In fact it is stuck into 2G network but my carrier support only 3G and LTE so I can connect to it if I changed that but it is changed back to 2G after 2-3 minutes
Cordially,
Baskwo
Looks like your tinkering broke something mate! If your signal was working before then you can re-flash your ROM as if you never touched system and also retain your data.
1. Reboot into recovery (e.g. twrp)
2. Wipe system
3. Install the ROM and associated zips
4. Wipe cache and dalvik cache
5. Reboot and wait
Should be like new with whatever installed apps you had. Also I recommend using System app remover from play store as it removes what you want for you without getting your hands dirty if you like.
Leave a thanks if I helped

Hi All,
Can you please help/advise with the following issue?
Status: S7 Edge shutting down unexpected. Unresponsive to buttons unless plugged into USB. Unit still charges when turned on or off.
Model: International SM-G934F - Stock image (latest OTA available)
Remediation attempted so far
Remediation attempted: Sim and Micro SD still in Phone through all tests.
1. Factory Restore, clear cache. On Restore choose to recover back up settings (Google) but do not restore applications. Restore completes but somewhere through the application upgrade of the pre-installed apps, the issue reoccurs. Reboot phone multiple times and at varying length of time issue reoccurs.
2. Factory Restore, clear cache. On Restore do not recover any settings / Clean install. Upgrade of the pre-installed apps completes. After pre-installed app upgrade issue occurs. Continue with Build installing google apps logging into accounts. Issue occurs multiple time through process
3. Factory Restore, clear cache. Phone on welcome screen (Phone setup screen) Phone crashes without data input. Phone has since sat on welcome screen without crashing. Remove sim and SD leave overnight on charger. Update pre-Installed apps. Install very lilte amount of additional apps. No Crashes but Wifi has turned otself off. (Not set for disablement during sleep)
Thoughts/Idea's as my next step is to RMA.
I have the exact same issue! Some others are reporting the same on my thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/help/s7-edge-shutting-lte-band-t3417691 )
After some testing, once you take the SIM card out, it will work perfectly. Also, if you leave the SIM in and change the network band to GSM (dialer type *#2263#) which is just edge, it will work. The problem arises when you are connected to 4G LTE.
Bump bump

The supplier finished their analysis and have confirmed my Phone is faulty. No information on what the fault is and they will be shipping me a new phone.
Hey, everyone.
I purchased an SM-G550T and immediately felt restrained with available space for apps. I installed TWRP 3.0.2.0 and SuperSU and set up my MicroSD Card with a 10GB ext4 primary partition. I set up the ext4 data partition with Apps2SD and then uninstalled and purchased Link2SD. Everything was going great until I accidentally started moving over ODEX apps. The phone became immediately unstable.
This is where I really screwed up. I didn't take time to read everything. I flashed a G550T1 ODIN image and lost my EFS folder. Anyhow, I'm able to reflash device with either Kies or Smart Switch. After deleting the EFS folder with ES File Explorer pro I was able to restore cellular service.
Well where I'm at right now is with a fresh restore from Smart Switch. The phone is very unstable, even with no SD card or SIM inserted. Samsung apps, Google play services, Gboard, you name it, they all force close, usually after having used Google Play services or an app like Facebook. It's as if the residuals of my apps2sd hack are still hanging out. I've even Advanced Wiped everything with TWRP to the point the system partition shows no space used. I'm at a loss as to how to fix this. It's as if I need to do a complete delete of everything and start over. I'm currently downloading. G550T1_PF1_RECOVERY.zip and clean factory.zip.
You would think restoring to stock using Smart Switch would resolve this problem. It removes TWRP and restores the original bootloader. However, the problem remains. The phone starts crashing as soon as the Setup Wizard appears. I can get to a point where the phone is completely set up, registered on the Play Store, etc. But, it is still very unstable and everything will crash randomly eventually.
As the title says my device is KLTE
I rooted my phone and installed MoKee os [latest nightly build]
Everything worked great, was not disappointed.
An hour ago I installed an app [used for decompiling apk's, for testing and etc...] and a wifi analyzer app
immediately after opening the Wifi analyzer app I removed it due to suspicious permission request which I accidentally approved [Ah. silly me]
After removing the WiFi analyzer app, I opened the decompiler.
Chose an app and it acted strangely, failed mid way, and after reopening I saw the app was decompiled, looked through a bit and exited
later I noticed that my Data isn't working, can't access the internet, messed with the settings, nothing worked
Enabled the WiFi that I barely had reception to, but it couldn't get to the internet [strangely though my pc can]
after messing and switching between WiFi and Data in order to get online, I couldn't find a solution
So going back to the simple "Did you try turning it off and on again?"
I rebooted my phone and went away for a bit
Came back to see the "Samsung Galaxy S5" boot screen
it didnt get out, tried taking the battery out
removing the cache
re-rooting my phone
installing a new recovery so I can remove dalvik cache[old recovery couldn't do it]
nope, still
stuck on boot.
Factory reset can't be done as of right now, too much precious data that will go away that I can't afford to lose.
Please help
EDIT :
I cant get to safe mode as well.
FIXED!
I basically went and downloaded an OTA update
accidentally installed rom zip instead of the OTA update
and it unbricked!
I downloaded the O factory image for 6p. I made a nandroid backup of 7.1 and went to work. Upon boot it will prompt to install SIM card. It works fine on custom 7.1 ROM. I ejected the SIM tray pushed it back in still would not pick it up. Rebooted to recovery cleared davlik art and cache. Rebooted back to setup and again it asks for SIM to be inserted. Rolled back to 7.1 nandroid and no problems.
Anyone on Fi running into this problem and a way around it?

Hello, I receive this problem.
Before making my way, please, make a backup of all internal storage.
For resolving this issue, needs to go to the Settings > System > Reset >
1. Had have reset the Network Settings
2. And had reset factory data
This has helped me.

I'll try a complete wipe again. I also tried the 2 ROMs that are 8.0 based and same thing there.
:Edit
I had to use TWRP and wipe everything before it would pickup the SIM on factory image. Now trying O Roms and see if same result. Before I'd just use standard wipe and would boot but not see the SIM card every time.

I had the same issue when going from 6.x to 7.x.
I had to completely wipe the phone and install.
Anything else and my phone would fail to see the SIM and BT would not work.
Just switched carriers and now settings crashes/fc's
Us997
Rooted with Magisk 17.3
Stock 21c
I reflashed ROM but problem persists.
This started as soon as the new SIM was installed.
Went from AT&T to tmobile
I can back door into some settings by long pressing on settings icon in Nova. From there I can hit the back button and see settings for a moment. Then it fc's. Just pressing the settings icon fc's immediately.
Any ideas?
Edit:
Extracted settings apk and then installed using package installer. Still crashes. It's hard to believe that a new SIM would prevent access to settings.
When I get home, I'll try removing the SIM and reflashing. Might need a full wipe and a clean flash too.
I'm just the curious type who wants to know why this happened. I know t mobile sends settings updates in texts and "installs" them when tapped.
Has anyone had this happen before?
