I ran it on mine for a few minutes and it seemed like it was working fine.

I've got an old Moto Charm and all it does is boot up and show the Motorola logo. I haven't found a clear concise guide yet to how I might make this thing working again. It looks like it'd be great for old GameBoy games. Can it be flashed to a ROM (stock or otherwise) in this state or is it just dead at this point?
Has anyone tried playing MKX on their Moto X Pure? Does it work for you?
Everytime I try running it, it crashes after the loading screen proceeding the intro video. Anyone else having this or similar issues?
I know some people were having similar issues with their LG G4 phones.
Are there any other games that are having trouble running on this phone but not on any other phones?
Also, my phone is not rooted. I got it from MotoMaker only a couple of days ago.
i can confirm that it crashes on moto xstyle...tried everything but it didnt work so deleted it

Download an older version and it will work fine. I had to do that cause the play store said it wasn't compatible with my device. This is the only game I've ever had this problem with. It runs every game I play on it like a beast including mortal kombat x
i have installed and working perfectly but its not latest version, one version old, because its showing me update since last couple of weeks
Moto G4 XT1622 16gb using normal charger, no turbo charger.
The ghost touch starts when using the phone while charging and even continues after the charger is disconnected, to stop it I have to turn the screen off and on again.
There is a oficial solution for this?
Is this 100% a hardware issue or it can be solved with a Moto update in the near future?
Cheers.

Same here xt1622 ghost touches more like the screen goes nuts weird unfortunately it happens on cm13 too
I also have this issue. Seems like the screen is being tapped in the bottom right of the screen (recent apps button)
xt1625 model
xt1625 here, and i get the same thing. no issues with ghost touching at all when its not charging. ghost touches fairly regularly when charging. luckily, its not an issue for me to leave it alone while charging. but yeah, it would be nice if they were able to fix that issue.
XT1622 here, Mine has been displaying the same ghost touch problem. It just bought me a camera while I was browsing the Ebay app, Buy It Now. Seller wasn't too amused but cancelled the order. Did tell him it was my phone and sent him a link to the Lenovo forum. Apparently it's a software problem and not a hardware one, Hard to believe! Thing is they won't tell anyone what the fix is, just telling people to take it to there nearest service centre.
Same hear screen goes nuts till remove charger if try use while plugged in only had phone few days was going to return as thought faulty but clearly it's software related hope it's fixed in N

hi, i am interested buying a european version of moto g4 , is the ghost touching problem still exists? Is it hardware or software? I am very afraid of buying the device if i am going to face this serious problem!
Software I'd say still present in 7.0 atm

This is not good. I remember that i read somewhere (don't remember forum) that Nexus 5x had something similar. Particularly when connecting to pc via USB.

Yes I remember having it on my Nx5 as well , for me not big issue if on charge I'm not using it doesn't seem so persistent on 7.0 as well couple times I've picked up and used while charging hasn't done it

I'm experiencing ghost touch on an almost daily basis now, mostly on battery power. I've never experienced it while charging. XT1625 model. I even contacted support and they kept telling me about software fixes (reset, change settings etc.) all of which to no avail. I'm convinved it's a hardware problem at this point and it's continually getting worse.
Of course when I spoke to them via live chat, they danced around the issue and finally gave me a number for the Spanish support line, (i don't even speak spanish) and left it at that. Gotta love support.
Something I've tried that is helpful for me is lowering the brightness.
Next time you have ghost touch problems try lowering the brightness and see what happens.
On my phone it makes the ghost touch go away completely but I can't speak for anyone else.
Not a permanent solution for sure but until one is found it beats having to reboot your phone.
Hi guys. I simply solved this problem using an app called "Touchscreen Repair", from the Play Store.
I tought it was useless, but incredibly it works!!!! I had ghost touch problems while charging with a quickcharger 3.0, I could not write a message! But now it seems to work well!
Hoping to help someone! Let me know if it's works for you!
Hello!!
I was wondering if my moto g4 play has an hidden led notification, like moto g4 and moto g4 plus. I'm aware that it will need root access to enable it. It's a very usefull feature to me, I'm really looking forward to enable it. Thanks!!
It might. Down at the bottom, below the screen, is what looks like a light sensor for proximity... But when I cover it with my finger nothing happens. There's another at the top under the speaker too. One of these could be a hidden LED.

How did you identify the sensor? I look at my phone and can see only the mic hole at the bottom, rest is all black.
EDIT - ok I can see it in sunlight

Yeah, I identify that spots too! But I'm looking forward to someone who is rooted and can test led apps, to find out If our model has that led too... And working for notifications, not only batery charge I'm not rooted yet, but I'll, as soon as I confirm that the led works! Maybe you are rooted?
It is a blue led, you can activate it with a moto x program in app store.

Ohh cool!! Did you activate the led in your cellphone? Does it work for notifications too (besides battery charge)?

Yes, in the program only for charging or charged battery, i think its is possible, but someone needs to write a program for it, maybe theres others in play store, i just not tested yet, i think its to bright, maybe drains the battery, to enable it you need to root.

What app did you use to activate yours? I Hope someone make it works for notifications soon!!
I found want you want :
Led Notification
Maybe it works in G4 Play
I installed the app in the store for Moto X / E models "Moto X LED" and it gives me a white LED on the bottom left corner. Only for charging and not for notification though

Yeah, I tried that too! But Led usage only to indicate that the battery is charging, is not interesting for me

Thank you!!!! Have you tried it already? I'm not rooted, cause I'm waiting for a confirmation that the led can be used to notifications too
On my G4 Play (rooted, xposed) nothing else worked but the original moto x led from Motorola in the Playstore. And that app only can activate the loading notification ... all the other apps I tried from playstore did not work at all
Markus.

If you use squid kernel I think it works. Didn't check on notifications but it does light up on charging the battery. It's at the bottom of the phone.

I have same question with Sukram2014. I see the led lit while charging. But we want to use it for notifications, not just for charging.

Try light flow app in play store. Haven't tried it on this phone yet but it works ony Moto Z Play. You really have to play with the settings though.

Light flow doesn't work, only app that seems to work is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=br.com.itsmeton.motoledenabler&hl=en_GB
Needs root
That one (Moto Led Enabler) doesn't seem to work for me, though. It turns on the LED when you change the brightness setting (so it's not completely broken), but doesn't do anything in response to actual notifications.
I feel like this should be entirely possible, any custom ROM's on the horizon working on this? This is my biggest gripe with the phone.
I used to have a Moto G4 and then moved on to the Moto G5 which I've had for the last several years. While I enjoy it just fine, I've alway wanted the G4's clock widget. It's easy enough to find the apk but the install keeps failing I don't know why. One of the few things I can suspect is maybe the architecture is different or that I'm running Oreo on the G5 Plus having taken an upgrade a while ago. It's not a matter of life or death, it's just something I'd like to see happen. I've never flashed anything and am not looking to get into anything in extreme detail, just an apk I quickly download and install really. Any workable apk or help would be appreciated...

Here's an apk to try:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...app-moto-g5-plus-time-weather-widget-t3575890
I didn't think there was any difference with this widget between models except maybe for apk signatures that prevent installing from one model to another. I don't use it but the widget on my G4 Plus is the same as my wife's G6. Your G5 probably had it at one time and it's MIA for some reason.
