I have a p8 lite. A couple of days ago it froze and i had to press the power button for a few seconds to reboot it. After that the wifi and bluetooth are not turning on. It was working fone before that. It just locked tge bootloader and rooted it after this. Do you guys think i can try flashing another rom on it to see if its a software issue. Can i get the baseband or radio for it so i can flash that?

Your help is appreciated.
I am also having the same issue. The phone shutdown and when i turned it back on the wifi/bluetooth stopped working. Wifi can be switched on scans for available network but cannot see any, though my other devices are connected to the same router. There is another P8 Lite phone connected. Router has been rebooted and reset. Same thing happens to BT it wont see other BT enabled devices and other phones cant see the device. I have already rebooted the phone, checked wifi settings, Wipe Cache Partition several times and even did a Factory Reset but it didn't seem to help.

Yes, there is a fix available for the »»» Huawei P8 Lite ««« :
I have the same problem with the WIFI & BLUETOOTH: Both wifi & bluetooth buttons are gray and disabled.
This issue happened after an update from » Android 5.0 | EMUI 3.x « to » Android 6.0 | EMUI 4.0 « .
I researched a lot on the internet and found one useful information:
It is not a software issue - it is a hardware issue.
The best way to fix this ridiculous bug is simply to look for » Huawei Customer Service « so they can change/repair (or anything else they do) your hardware.
This is what i am gonna do the next days.
I hope this information was helpful somehow!

Hi, for me it solved with disabling only bluetooth search. :good:
I have my P8 Lite (2015) updated with original B634, only with bootloade unlocked.
The mobile phone is guaranteed by Huawei until 22/10/2019 (marketing bid in October 2017).
However, in recent days, I'm having difficulties in the speed of wifi (does not exceed 10k / s) when I have the bluetooth activated (for example when I arrive at my house and came with mobile phone connected to the bluetooth of the car).
If I turn off the bluetooth the speed of the wifi normalizes immediately!
Is it a software problem and a reset resolves or will it be a hardware problem to be solved under warranty?
Thank you for your opinion.
its hardware issue, just applied from my mobile operater,in Serbia
this issure is still on update? or they already fix the bug
SOLUTION!
In a Spanish forum I saw that they had solved this problem by installing the ALE-L21C432B564!
I tried but it did not work for me!
Then I remembered to do something I had not done yet!
I reset the factory settings with deletion of internal storage data, installed the rom ALE-L21C432B574 by fastboot (look for link FlashRom B574 Dual Sim).
Surprise!!!
Wifi worked at full speed, even with bluetooth on!
Then I installed the ALE-L21C432B636 by the native mode (dload - UPDATE.APP - off - start with the 3 buttons pressed)...
It is updated and with the problem of wifi + BT resolved.
NEW SOLUTION!
I found the reason for the Wi-Fi problem too slow (or stopping) when Bluetooth is turned on!
The problem is "Your location" from Google Play Services!!!
Until version 11.6.73 (14-09-2017) there is no problem, but from that version, more precisely 11.7.41 (05-10-2017), until today (12.8.74), and in the next versions (13.2 .77 beta), the problem persists.
Will Google solve the problem?
I do not know.
But to solve the problem I found this solution:
Disable GPS-Then go to Settings-Apps-Google Play services-Permissions-Your Location-Location Settings-Disable Access to my location.
From there, you may already have Bluetooth enabled and Wi-Fi will work properly.
However, if you also activate GPS (wf + bt + gps), the Wi-Fi will be very slow again, until you deactivate the GPS again.
It seems that some equipment does not have this problem! If so, good for them, but for those who have this problem, the real reason is already found, and until they solve it (if they solve), we have this solution.
I'm grateful that you also report this error to Google, to see if they fix it.
hey guys,
i think i made something really stupid.
-unlocked bootloader
-installed TWRP
-rooted
everthing was fine B161.
installed apps2sd and did something there so my phone was stuck in bootloop.

i wiped everything in TWRP... system, internal storage everything... i am such a douchebag!
I tried to recover with eRecovery and install stock firmware B161. Update process was successful and i can start my phone again.
but everytime i start the setup wizard i am stuck after wi-fi+ service (enhanced internet expierence) the screen shows "checking data.." for 1 second and switched back to wi-fi+ service.
is there anything i can do? guys help me please i am starting to freak out.
is my guarantee voided after i unlocked my phone?
fastboot shows
-phone locked
-frp locked
THANKS FOR ANY HELP!

did you do factory reset? I had some weird stuff going on after recovery, so I booted back to factory reset (vol + and power), after that it worked OK.
Once you requested the bootloader unlock key, your warranty might be void from that point (depends on country). The bootloader gets locked after flashing official firmware via eRecovery though.
yes i did a factory reset, still can't proceed after wi-fi+ configuration.
is there anything else i can do?
I have one question: is it possible with
-frp locked
and
-phone locked
to downgrade via eRecovery? (to b130 or something..)
I have the exact same problem.
I bought it 3 days ago, and suddenly yesterday downloaded Apps (from the Play Store) stopped working. So someone told me to hard reset it. I got into EMUI and did it. Then I rebooted it and now it stuck there. Can't complete the setup wizard.
I found no solution to my problem after reading google & xda-forum for 3 days. Tried everything... nothing worked. Sent it back and (luckily) got a new one. Now i'm more careful for sure.
The store I bought it from claimed that they had numerous similar complaints about the 3gb version. Which is the one I have. They told me I should take it back and that they will give me a new 2gb version along with any difference in money. We will see.
Exact same thing with me stuck at setup wizard so had to send it off for warranty and got a brand new phone yesterday
Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Help please my Huawei P9 cannot proceed afta WiFi setting it is stuck on "Checking info "and Reply saying "Couldn't sign in"
The problem is Android System Webview, it's not a system app in this rom and when you reset your phone it deletes it, happened the same to me, I had to go to a huawei center, they menaged to skip the initial setup and I've installed the apk from apk mirror. Without this app the phone can't login in your google account, so if you don't install it your gapps won't work

Sorry, dont have the previous ROM, I boiught it off someone and they probably did the first update. The factory reset should reset to huawei original but i think this is where my problem sits.
HARDWARE VERSION=NEXT_L09_VN2
BOOTLOADER VERSION=NXT-C900B120_FASTBOOT
KERNEL VERSION=NXT-C900BB140_BOOT
AP VERSION=NXT-C900B140_SYSTEM
CP VERSION=21.750.08.00.010(balong)
Parameter Version:
P-00.00.000 G-17.V271.371 E-40.01.000
does anyone have an international rom for this or any version that can work.
The way i was able to factory reset was
1. going to huawei site. "consumerDOThuaweiDOTcomSLASHjmSLASHsupportSLASHdownloadsSLASHindexDOThtm"
change slash to / and dots to .
2. Select options for your phone, mine was NXT-L09. Will show "HUAWEI Mate 8 Firmware(NXT-L09, Android 6.0, EMUI 4.0, C605B100, Latin America, Channel-Others)"
3. Download, extract onto sdcard in dload folder, restart phone using vol up & vol down & power.
4. phone will complete boot restart but will then loop the boot process.
5. Do factory reset again
6. After huawei logo, different options show and you are then ok to proceed to login to your google account and setup refreshed phone.
Now on NXT-L09C900B100 build, if anyone has nougat rom for this, please share.
For future reference, if anyone gets stuck with this on P9 lite, indeed the instructions provided by Huawei point to VNS-L11C432B161, which doesn't include Android webview and therefore initial setup cannot proceed. The solution is to flash B210 on top of B161:
update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1164/g104/v80562/f1/full/update.zip
which allows you to pass setup as the bug has been fixed. No root/unlock/twrp required.
Since my mate 9 pro is detected by google as Mate 9 Porsche Design (LON-L29), I'm posting this as an update to everyone. Hopefully, Huawei will authenticate it as soon as I finished downloading.

Thanks - downloading now... 30% will edit post if it successful installs firmware..
Yeah - not authenticated yet.. oh well, give it a few days / week and it'll work!
I've just updated to L29C721B180 using funky Huawei and am incredibly pleased!!
Any moderator here? Any chance to get a dedicated Mate 9 Pro forum opened, to avoid all this confusion with firmware revisions?
And...pretty sick of seeing regular Funky Huawei promos popping up here and there...
there is actually a thread here in xda where you can request for a forum to be created. i already requested twice a couple of months ago but i think they're just ignoring my message. if were the moderator, i'll just combine pro and porsche design in one forum since they are typically the same device. they even have the same model code (LON-L29).
has anyone successfully updated their mate 9 pro to the latest one recently? huawei is still not authorizing this rom. smh

Nope.. still errors here with authentication..
I went as far as to try and get HiSuite to install it.. it looked promising, I had HiSuite find the update using a Proxy, then I told it to install, it downloaded the files (all 3 update zips/xml files) and then it pushed them into the phone, so I was surprised it got that far.. then it Rebooted the phone to run the upgrade.. but then it Failed at like 2%, with a error along the lines of unapproved/invalid firmware, so basically the same as Authentication Failed in the phone system updater... I thought maybe it used internet to confirm Authentication so I tried the same setup, but i removed the SIM cards and turned off Wifi, but got same error, so either it failed for not authenticated (not sure how it knows) or it failed because it didn't have internet to check..

HiSuite checks for authentication when it downloads the ROM. It pushes the authentication token from the computer to the phone. If there is no valid authentication token, it will not install.

Try Funky Huawei...
I know you have to pay for it, but at least you get the update.
i will think about it. i don't wanna pay for something that i can get for free.
maybe the reason why they didn't authenticate it is because they just release B182 rom.

I just created an account just for these problems and I can't get around them! What do I do with these followings problems?
1 - P9 Lite is not found on File Explorer like I usually used to when I have MTP on. MTP driver says it's working. I already have HiSuite installed to the latest version. HiSuite recognizes P9 Lite.
2 - I can't lock bootloader before I had problem number 1, it said "remote access denied" or something along the lines of that in ADB.
3 - I was trying to rollback to VNS-L21C432B160 by using stechguide.com's rollback package, only the rollback firmware worked.
Please, for the love of god help me. I don't know how I would explain this to a service center, I don't even think they'd help!
Hi all,
I have a rooted Huawei P9 Lite which contains baby pictures of my son which I hoped to backup. It has been a few years since I have used this phone and subsequently all codes I have tried have failed to give me access. I tried a few methods using TWRP to delete the key files however the files seem to be encrypted on the device. Just asking if there is any hope is accessing my files or should I give up trying?
Thanks,
Joe
