I cant install bigger apps from Google Play. - Mate 8 General

Got a Mate 8 from China, AL10, B197.
Installed Goole Play from HiApp.
Been working fine for most things, unless i try certain games.
Got two examples. Fruitninja, only about 126mb, Google Play close down on about 100mb downloaded and when i reopen i get error 909.
Biggest example, Hearthstone, 1.04gb. Play close on 0.97gb every single time and i get error 907.
I really want this game so ive tried like 15 times after performing different "solutions".
Delete data and cache for both Google services and Google Play. Unmount SD-card, remove SD-card. Nothing helps.
Only tip really i havent tried is to delete the updates on Google play to get a earlier version. I cant find any updates to remove, probably because i installed it from HiApp and got latest version?

Play store > app permission > allow storage.
Sent from my HUAWEI NXT-AL10 using Tapatalk

Hey,
You have to grant storage permissions to the "play store"
Settings -> Applications --> Google Play Sotre --> Permissions (or sth like that) then "storage" !
Little reboot may be required
Enjoy

Excellent, that fixed it. Im suprised the phone didnt just ask for permissions like its been doing for pretty much every other app.
Thanks guys!

[Q] Google Play Remote install problems

Since I have updated to 4.2.2 OTA (all Stock) installing Apps using the Google Play website does not seem to really work.
When I click install on play.google.com nothing happens on the phone until I open the Google Play App. Seems like that the service that used to connect to google play regulary does no longer run?
Anyone else seen this?
Related note ... I did the google framework service thing to get it to show the OTA after installing the update my phone did not show up in play.google.com at all until I have installed a random app using the google play app.
Open Play Store and check your auto update settings. Probably you need to enable it.
The autoupdate setting has nothing to do with it; I'm experiensing the same issue, the download starts, but it takes 1 minutes before it starts, even if I have Google Play opened on my phone

It is enabled but not sure how this is related ... I am talking about install / remove didn't test update yet.
OK I have fixed it.
Did Settings -> Apps -> All and Cleared the Data for Google Play and Google Play Services.
Rebooted the phone. Opened Play Store once and now thinks work like as expected.

This is what worked for me:
Go into your device's app manager. Select Google Play app. Click on uninstall updates. This will take it back to the factory setup state. I then had to reboot the device as I initially got a message that Google Play has stopped working when I tried to open the app. After reboot, open Google Play and accept the terms and conditions. This got the install from website issue fixed.

google play 920

i factory reseted for a new rom and every app cant install because of this. how do i fix this
Whats the error, put a screen shot of it.
Nexus 7 Google Play Error 920 Fix
I'm posting the solution so other people don't have to waste an hour or two on this ****ing nagging problem (error 920).
The problem:
Flash ROM (aokp_grouper_jb-mr1_milestone-1 in my case)
Flash Gapps (Tried both gapps-jb-20130301-signed and gapps-jb-20121212-signed)
Boot device
Device begins restoring your apps from Google Play when suddenly it hits a snag and every application it intends to install shows an error 920 notification.
Google Play Store at this point is completely non-functional. No amount of cache clearing, data clearing, Google account removing, etc. will fix it.
Solution:
Download and push to your device the latest version of Google Play, I used vs.4.1.6 (Use google to find the apk)
From the Play Store application, go into the menu-->Accounts-->Add account
Add another Google account (You have more than one, don't you?)
Switch to your newly added account, maybe download something from it and then switch back.
Unfortunately, Google Play will not resume syncing the remaining apps that error'd, but Google Play is now fully functional once more.
Remove the account you added.
Done.
Cheers, good luck.
Works like a charm! Thanks so much.
Just saved my hair from being yanked out - seriously thank you!
I never liked google auto-restoring apps (I always install them myself as I need to because they have a habit of reinstalling stuff I don't want reinstalled).
But seriously good info for future reference.
PS: On that note, don't restore paid apps with titanium backup (if you ever use it), rather install the paid app from the play store first, then restore it's data with TiB... will save you some headache later.

Do we need GooglePlayservices.apk?

I've removed the GooglePlayservices.apk from my phone and not one of the Google apps has lost functionality. What is it used for?
A message comes up in YouTube when I first open it after wiping cache saying I need GooglePlayservices.apk or it won't work but I dismiss it and it works fine.
Also Google search bar says it needs it to work...... It doesn't.
Anyone know what it says ACTUALLY used for?

Hi There,
Google Play services is used to update Google apps and apps from Google Play. This app gives you access to Google Settings and helps apps speed up offline searches. So this is basically the gateway between you're apps and google play store. Most off the apps we install uses this app to connect to the play store to check for their updates. If not found the apps (especially google apps) may result in an error or FC.
It doesn't take up that much space or resources. So you may as well keep it.
Hope that helped
He can't keep it. He's deleted it. Ha.
I've disables this app because even if it does not take a lot of space, it is running in background and consuming RAM, CPU and internet data.
Everything works fine without it.

I can still see updates available for apps in Google Play without googleplayservices though...........So I don't think you're correct about apps using it to check for updates, they all still work the same.
I've never had one force close since removing it and I can update all my Google apps perfectly fine.
That's why I'm asking, it seems like a pointless app.
It just runs in the background using up RAM and battery.
The processor overhead of looking for it and generating errors and going to the play store may use more battery. Not 100 percent sure though. I'll check. Seems similar to deleting cache /killing a thread takes more to rebuild than leave alone.

Problem with Axon 7 (Chinese 4GB RAM, 128GB) Update B13

Hi all,
I have been using this phone for a couple of months. I installed the Google services and Play store using this MIUI 8 Google installer which has been floating around the internet. My Google Play Store is up to date.
I have been quite happy with the phone except for the following issues:
(i) When I install larger files over Google Play Store, it will crash when the download is finishing. It will pop an error message saying "Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped", and I am unable to get the downloads to work. The next few attempts at opening the Play Store will show the same message, but it will eventually open, but the download will fail.
(ii) Connectivity - 3G / 4G. My previous phones, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Samsung Note 4 had no such issues. They were able to connect to the network and not get dropped frequently. This affects me when I play games, and I will have lost connectivity time to time (even when in the open). I checked the network bands and my country's bands (Singapore) are compatible.
(iii) GPS - I had been playing Pokemon GO / Ingress. It does get very annoying when the messages "GPS not found" keeps popping up, especially when indoors. One soft fix is to turn Wifi on and off. I am not sure why this fix works, but I had already enabled wifi scanning even when wifi is not on.
Does anyone else here have these issues? If so, do you have any fix for them?
Thank you everyone in advance.
I suggest to you to download playstroe.apk from the internet instead of the installer of the miui..its not install the updated version of the play store..and dont forget to able playstore to run in the background in the assist manager and download google service.apk if you need more help or something talk to me
Thank you for your prompt response!
I can try reinstalling Play Store. I checked the version and it is exactly the same one as my Samsung Note 4 (which had been recently updated). There are also quite a few versions floating around and I am unsure of which one to install. As it stands, I think I will reinstall the exact same version and see how it goes. I had also installed Google Services.
But thank you for the reminder - I had already added the Play Store to my protected list for it to run in the background, but the problem still persists.
Been looking at APK mirror, and there are too many versions of Play Store.
May I check which one should be the version I should be installing?
Edit: I installed the latest versions of Play Store and Play Services from apkmirror, and the large downloads still failed.
I checked, and my Google Play store is updated by the ZTEMarket, so I assume the version is fine.
Has anyone else experienced such issues before?

Yep, I've gotten to 98% before on a 1gb file to have "Playstore has stopped" error... Very frustrating...
Ive finally manbded to install B013 - its loaded fine. Now I have a message saying "To start Android, enter your password".
I've never previously had to enter a password - I bought the phone from Ali Express.
How do you get past this ? Is there a generic password ? HELP PLEASE !!!
I installed my B13 update OTA and didn't experience the password issue, but I see that you already resolved that problem (in another thread).
I still can't get my phone to download larger files over Google Play Store and it's getting very annoying. Anything which requires WiFi to download seems to have this issue.
Anyone knows any solution to this?
EDIT: I found the solution.
Go to Apps > Google Play Store > Permissions. You will see that the Permissions for Storage is UNCHECKED. It looks like when Google Play Store is installed, it comes unchecked by default. Hopefully this will be helpful for anyone experiencing this issue.

Problems Google services, play store Axon 7 version B13
Before I had version B10 and the play store and other GOOGLE applications worked perfect, but after upgrading to version B13, the GOOGLE services that had possibly been installed by the store of aliexpress where I bought, since the google services did not originally come in the smartphones Manufactured in China, have disappeared, and even though I have reinstalled, they do not work, standing in the "checking data" field, it seems that this version is incompatible with google play services!
Anyone know how to fix this?
problem google play services
I still have not solved the problem, because when I open the play store, it keeps the message "checking data" and does not leave this message and the options of permissions are all marked "on"
Is there any specific version of google services for this model axon 7 version B13, or should any one work?
I had exactly the same as you. Purchased from Ali express. Update to build b013, if you get a password message just perform a factory reset. To install Google play store, go to the zte market (Chinese version of play store). Even though it's in Chinese it's easy to type in Google play into search then simply install. Sorted. After that works without any problems
Here you go

I entered the ZTE store and installed GOOGLE INSTALLER, which should be the installer of some tools needed to run Google services, because soon after installing it, the play store and other services like gmail, started to work, so I think it was Something that was missing to work and now is perfect!

This app shows that Google Service is ok but Google Framework is not installed. When I choose Repair, nothing happens. I downloaded and installed Google Services Framework 7.1.1 from apkmirror, but nothing has changed. Do you have Google Framework installed?

P9 Lite unexisting build number, throw away?

Hi there, I wish your expert help please (I'll throw this phone otherwise, too much effort/time lost).
I'm using a P9 Lite with build number VNS-L31C432B417 , Android 7.0.
I can't find any good reference to that number on the Internet.
Since months Google services is not running any longer on my phone, e.g. G's icons all disappeared. Cleared cached of G's apps , made whatever (but rooting), without success as of today (no emails, no youtube, no play store etc).
Now, I wish to upgrade the OS but it keeps saying 'No Updates Available', your phone is already up to date...
Connection Mac desktop-phone via HiSuite fails (despite I enabled HiSuite on HDB, on my phone's settings), "HiSuite quit unexpectedly".
Use of HiCare useless as well, no update found.
Can you please help out here ?
Thanks much for your time

Hello,
yes the "phone throw" will be part of the disciplines
of the next Olympics, so train well ...
I state that I am not an expert, just a user like you, perhaps with a little more experience ...
Okay, I checked and your firmware is actually the latest available.
That's weird...
How is it possible that you no longer have the services of big G?
Which big G app did you clear the cache if you no longer have them on the device?

Hello, hi, thanks for your answer.
I can still see them all listed in Settings > Apps ! That's the point.
I can see them (GMail, Google, Google News, Play Books, Play Games, Play Movies, Play Music, Play services, Google+, Hangouts...), and they are up working.... I cleared the cache mainly for " Google Play services ". Some of their icons are still on my screen but e.g. clicking on GMail or YouTube I get " Gmail won't run without Google Play services, which are not supported by your device " ....... !!!
Of course I logged out and relogged onto my G account .... but nothing changed.
So ?

Ok, it's clear, google play services for some reason no longer does its job.
Dude, I don't know, something screwed up your device.... once I solved it like this:
Settings> security> device administrator and disable 'android device management':
Go back and access apps, then find and press on
google play services:
Press on uninstall or uninstall updates.
Open the play stores and update google play services as one
any application.
If it doesn't automatically, look for it in the top bar
and update it ...
I hope it works for you too ...
