Is it possible to install a CSC without rooting the device? Specifically, I want to install AT&T CSC but I don't want to root and lose samsung pay.
What device??? G935F? No you'll lose IMEI the G935A is Snapdragon G935F is Exynos
The only way is using Odin
But you'll screw your device up big time

Is your device Exynos??? Actually you'll need to ask in the ATT threads I believe.

Yes it is Exynos, its the Canadian version. I believe there is no difference between the G935W8 and the G935F except the bands but I could be wrong.

You might want ask here as well.
But still Snapdragon isn't compatible at all with Exynos
I flashed the stock CSC ATT using Odin on my G935F and lost IMEI I had to flash the G935F CSC to get it back

When you flashed the g935a csc, what exactly stopped working on the phone? Was it just a missing IMEI number in settings or did the functionality of the phone go down?

So, i bought a S7E branded (csc: ZVV) and flashed BTU's APC8 to unbrand it. Now, it seems that i can't get the new OTA(APD3?) because my phone is "up to date".
Did flashing my device broke ota? It's status is Official and i've flashed the whole firmware (ap, cp, bt and csc).
I'm using 935F.

Well, sammobile has added APD3 to downloads, and my phone still points to APC8 as latest firmware.
Flashing that modified home_csc from the Official STOCK thread may have caused this?

I rooted my s7 edge from AT&T but ever since then the phone was extremely sluggish and various processes would regularly force close. I tried to wipe to factory but that didnt solve the issue, I've tried flashing with ODIN and ive also tried Smart Switch. None of these would allow me to flash the stock software. This is extremely frustrating because i can barely use my phone now its so slow

I used the Odin client from the root page and the stock rom AP file. Put the phone into Download mode, and started odin. It would hang on Initializing and the phone would say "Odin protocol version error". Sometimes it would hang at "SetupConnection". I tried 2 different Odin clients that were designated as necessary for use with the s7. I have the samsung drivers and I know that Odin to stock is easy but for some reason i can not figure out what im doing wrong

Ok place phone in download mode open Odin and place corresponding files in the matching slots. Then hit start.
You're using official sammobile firmware I'm assuming.
Don't flash pit files or anything else just the Four files.
Search for the latest Odin and download that as well because apparently the Odin you're using has been modified in some way. If it fails with modified Odin use the latest and do the same thing.

Root won't cause lag actually.
I have a G935F I dumped my G935A right away because of no root.
With Root you can install Titanium Backup and debloat a lot of stuff that causes slow down

You can't flash the TMO Firmware since it's Snapdragon you will brick your device.
You can, however, flash TMO CSC

If you just want to change to the TMO CSC, s7freak's info is the way to go.
If you are looking to completely wipe and reload the stock firmware that came with your phone, You have to use SM-G935F firmware.
