Despite enabling the reversible UI, it seems that I can not take or make a call except in the default orientation.
I'm talking about the dialer app, any other app just works fine regarding reversible UI.
Kindly advise

Have you checked 'Permissions' to make sure there isn't a relevant setting that is not enabled?

I did enabling all permissions for call app after your advice but it's still the same, not resolved

multitouch issue, hardware or software problem?

i got the same issue showed in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gz27tAD1IBQ
Can anyone please tell me if is an hardware or software problem? Shell i use warrenty and contact asus? Thx
The only way to identify it as a software problem would be to change the kernel, or maybe even ROM. But it will probably be a hardware issue.

in this way may i'll have problem in case of warranty? I dont know asus warranty behavior
Do you observe multitouch issues in other applications, or are you assuming that because you can reproduce the effect in that video that you have a problem.
If you enable developer options on the N7, and then turn on (Settings -> Developer options):
- Show touches
- Pointer location
can you reproduce the effects shown in that video? (Probably you need to do this on a blank homescreen or maybe viewing a picture or something so that you are not launching apps).
[Edit] I d'loaded a free market app "Multitouch Visible Test" from the market - it looks like the one in the video, although I can't be 100% sure. There are a lot of those kinds of apps in the market. FWIW, I couldn't reproduce what was demonstrated in the video. Not sure if that means anything though. I'm on rooted stock 4.2.1

As long as you send it in completely stock, they'll never know or care.

i observe multitouch problem durin broswer and photo pinch to zoom. So i download the same application of the video and i understand to have the same problem! :'(
Today i'll try to flash a custom ROM and Kernel. If the issue will persist i'll go to saturn hoping is a quick sostitution. I dont want to send my N7 to ASUS.....
I have not get rid of the issue changing kernel and ROM but it has improved a lot with the combination of Franco kernel, Cm 10.1 and some tweaking in kernel parameters. I also noticed that enabling Force gpu in development options made it go better. I have read somewhere in this forum that all Nexus 7 have the same issue and it will be solved in 4.2.2. I hope it is true.

Anyone tried call recording yet?

Anyone tried any call recording software yet?
Are you root/non root?
Which app do you use?
Does it record the audio stream or just what the microphone picks up from the speaker?
I use ACR - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nll.acr
It works perfectly fine to record both sides of the conversation.
The incoming audio is a little on the softer side but still very audible
I paid for the licensed version as well.
What config do you use???

Any way to kill that on going notification for ACR? I was going to disable it in the settings but it warns this might kill the app.

I disable it in the settings and it works just fine.
Just add ACR to your unmonitored apps under battery so that Doze does not kill the app

What's so much better of it that it results in the $7 extra premium over ACR licensed version?
Serious question - may switch to it

1. The programmer communicates with you if you have a problem. I've written him over XDA a couple of times, and he has always helped me.
2. If the app does not support the mobile phone (new models on the market), just write to him and he looks at it right away.
3. Regular updates.
4. Many options for recording such as formats, filters etc.
5. When you start the app for the first time, the application will set itself the most suitable settings for that mobile.
6. You don't need to have root.
Look, I tried many apps, but Call Recorder is the first choice for me.

ACR does all that and I spoke with the developer when I got the S8 and he fixed the issue instantly and issued an update within hours
I may download the trial app and see how it works/looks
Wow, so might not need root after all!
Galaxy S8 / S8 Plus has more than 28 variants, some of them uses the Qualcomm MSM8998 chip, some of them uses the Samsung Eynos 8895 chip.
Boldbeast Recorder records calls crystal clear in two directions, from users' reports so far, all Galaxy S8 / S8 Plus variants work well, no root needed. Detailed information: https://www.boldbeast.com/forum/topic1438-galaxy-s8-call-recorder.html

I tried Boldbeast but it does not record properly. It asks me to remove all other recorders, which I do not have in the first place. I even removed the default voice recorder, but it still asks me to remove other recorders. Strange. I uninstalled the app.

Most possibly, you enabled the OK Google app in your phone. OK Google is occupying the microphone, it is continuously picking up sound from the microphone to recognize your "voice command", and this blocks Boldbeast working. Please disable the "Settings > Google > Search > Voice > OK Google detection > From any screen" option in your phone, then it works at once.
About the "can not record any call" problem, actually there are 7 possible reasons, have a look at the [001] part in this page: http://www.boldbeast.com/android/call_recorder_troubleshooting.html
Test again, it 100% works.
Used to use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorder&hl=en
It quit working on my Galaxy S8.
I tried using Boldbeast as some people stated here but it didn't even record. No recordings where found.
I am using ACR as also indicated on here and it seems to be working for the moment.
I am using the AT&T Galaxy S8. do I have the one that doesn't support call recording? I was reasding on other forums and people are saying some S8s are blocked from recording calls.

Samsung Android 7 or Samsung S7 Android 6?
The Android Oreo update has impacted recording on some Samsung S8 and 8+ and all S9's. I've been a paid user of ACR for a year now and it's awesome, but even they are scratching their heads about this b/c it's impacting everyone.
Native call recording is the best, and free. But need root.

"NO" automatic call recorder in mi a1

very necessary, as no playstore app works correctly...
(only supportive people response here plz)...
What kind of support are you looking for, I'll be happy to provide.
Automatic Call Recorder works without any issues. Make sure Settings -> Running -> has Ignore battery optimizations and Run in the background checked.
I've used for about 6 months play store "call recorder" (from appliquato) on nougat. Since I've changed to oreo, haven't tested.

Yes, I have no issues with this app and everything gets recorded with no problem.
I'm using Call Recorder from F-Droid. You can choose the quality and format of the recording and some other settings. I have never tried other call recording apps so I don't know how good it actually is compared to the others.
Use boldbeast or total recall.
Use alsa source(root) if boldbeast, else install root patch(that probably modifies system partition) in total recall.
You'll get Cristal clear recording using any of those 2 app. Hit thanks after installing n verifying.
I dunno if this is what u are looking for but
I use flyme os and it has built in call recorder like miui

blocking camera and mic on android 11

My oneplus 6t recently updated to Android 11 and I am not a fan. With Android 10 I had apps that would, in theory, block camera and mic access. Those same apps don't seem to be doing anything on 11. Does anyone know of apps that will work? Thank you.
There is a feature in developer option that will allow you to block all sensor including Camara and mic.

I'm not miss understand the question. I show the alternative because I can't find and don't know "App" that can do that. And its not that hard to enable or disable it just put in quick setting for easy access. The downside is it turn off all sensors like Gyro and any other.

Question Enable Auto Phone Call Recording

Hello to everyone,
I hope someone could help me, i need to record any phone call that i make/receive, the phone should record the call without messages to the caller about the phone call is recorded.
Did someone can tell me how can i do this? i have seen that one option is to root the device but if someone have other suggestion is better for me than root the device.
I have also tried this app: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...cord-phone-calls-from-the-phone-line.1441643/ but use the microphone so sometimes there are very noise.
Bye

Yes. I am in the same situation. The only things I can think of are, 1. A call recorder app. or, 2. Using a different dialer, say from a Oneplus phone. But I'm still looking into it. I have been using a call recorder app that seems to work somewhat okay but not that great.
I Hope Simeone could help US..
I have also seen that changing the phone app Is not the solution because some apps uses CSC

That's good to know because I was going to try it. The thing is, depending on what version you have, call recording is built in. So that tells me that all variants could have it built in maybe ? Not sure but I am continuing to do research when I have the time.
Yes, I think that every android phone have this functionality, the problem is that phone app use CSC to enable o not, this is what I have understand

I know that on some newer OnePlus phones you can change the dialer to get call recording. I would think that the Nothing Phone would be similar but at this point I'm totally unsure.

Not really. I do have two apps installed that are recording calls pretty good ! One of them I installed from Google play called Call recorder. And the other one is one that I came across in one of the posts for the Nothing phone. I have both running at the same time and both are recording calls pretty good. However, I would rather have the inbuilt option.
I'm from Italy and have Nothing Phone for a couple of weeks now so I may be missing something.
I've tried ACR, a well thought app for call recording, but unfortunately it doesn't record bluetooth calls (earphone or car's) so as a couple of other apps. I guess it's a problem that every third party app is having, given Google policy.
So, I'm using the Google phone app call recording utility (upper right corder three dots > settings > call recording). This option has popped out the first time I put in the sim card. I suppose everyone can access this option but with Google you never know...
This makes available a button on the phone screen, a switch between call recording and not recording. Actually, it's only manageable when the call is started and it's available switching in the second screen of the app.
Overall it works pretty well, even on Bluetooth calls. The calls are accessible via the call log history and can de saved. The only drawdown is that you have to put a meaningful name to the file when saving it.
What drives me CRAZY is that it doesn't have the option to ALWAYS record the calls. Apparently, it's an available option (Google has a help page dedicated: https://support.google.com/phoneapp/answer/9803950?hl=en) but not for the Italian version. Or at least for my version
Does anyone know if and how I can make it a permanent choice? I don't want to manually switch it every time...
Any help is very appreciated
