Hi XDA!
So I recently acquired (about 4 days ago) the unlocked, single-sim version of the Huawei P9 Lite VNS-L31. I remember that as soon as I connected it to the Wi-Fi, it download an OTA update to the version VNS-L31C33B105. After that I did some browsing around here, and I found out that there was a new version the B130 for the European variant. Silly me, decided to download and flash it via SD-Card. I noticed the region was diferent than mine but I still went ahead. After the update I checked the version and to my surprise it wasn't the VNS-L31C432B130, but instead it shows has VNS-L31C900B130.
My question is if I should be worried about this, as I may be cut off from OTA updates? If yes how do I fix this.
Thank you in advance

Heyho,
so far i know, to solve this problem, u need to the aligned custom.bin and maybe also the aligned oeminfo... To flash/copy both of them u'll need an unlocked boot-loader and root rights.
To solve ur problem, and also unlock dual-sim on ur single-sim device, u can use my toolkit. Just proceed with the steps under Dual-Sim.
PS: If u have any questions, feel free to contact me.
Regards,
Sebastian

Im well aware of your toolkit and let me congratulate you on that. Excelent job on it. Thank you so much for your time and dedication. :good: Yes I figured i'd had to unlock the BL and root to fix it. There's people over at the P9 section saying they went through the same but the OTA updates still came anyway.
But anyways I'll still unlock the bootloader. Another question since we're talking about it? With unlocked BL, but stock recovery, there will be no problems with flashing future updates through SD-Card right?
Once again thank you so much for your contribution to our device. Keep it up

Hey again. I went ahead and unlocked the BL, Rooted, Flashed the stock recovery, and enabled dual-sim. The processed went smoothly without any problems what so ever. (Ther was a bump at the storage encryption asking for a password because for some dumb reason the keyboard wouldn't open, but i rebooted and then it showed up)
You were right, the device now reports as VNS-L31C432B130, and the 2nd slot for the SIM Card is working perfectly well.
You are the MAN! Thank you so much for the reply and the fix. Keep up the good work Sebastian!

Heyho,
yes it's possible to update via SD-Card/internal storage with an unlocked boot-loader. The only problem u'll have after an OTA or manual flashed update, u'll loose the unlocked boot-loader and ur root rights. So after an update u need to unlock and re-root again.
(But dual-sim and custom.bin will stay as before )

Heyho,
yes it's possible, but u must change to the C432 build in order to archive the dual-sim with an working build number (not C900). In this case u only need to follow the instructions right under dual-sim. (Update to L21C432B130, unlock the bootloader + root the device, do the dual-sim upgrade, and flash the L21C432B130 agian, that's all.)
(As u can see in my signature i had also an C150 [T-Mobile] device, now it's an "open" device with dual-sim.)
Hope i could help u

Did you solve? How please. I had made the same thing.

You'll need to update using a RUU and formating your SD-card as a GoldCard, even if you flash a wildpuzzle rom right after it (without even using the RUU rom).
The quick way would be to buy an unlock code, but I don't trust this method.
Plus, here in France, after 6 month we can ask our provider to unlock the phone for free, that might be the case for you too. But you'll need to wait
( PS : DO NOT USE THE CHINESE FROYO RUU /!\ )
Thanks for the reply this answers my question

Hi!
Can you give me more details about the way you unlocked your phone?
Did you manage to do it?
Thanks in advance.
Hey guyz ... Howz all doing. okie here's the deal. I am new to this whole Windows Phone 7 stuff used to play a lot with the HTC Elfin i had with WM6.1.
Tried a lot of stuff on Transformer too.
Now itz time for Samsung Focus , as my first Windows Phone Device.
I have read countless articles on this forum but still have a few doubts remaining.
1) Can the 8107 Mango bootloader be replaced with MAGLDR or it will screw up the device ?
2) Is it ok to flash MAGLDR & Custom ROM with an external MicroSD card inside ?
3) I cant find anything to backup stock rom and bootloader & restore it back in case if the device is burned. I found 1 or 2 but some report that restore isnt working. Can ny1 help me out with this.
Lastly the phone is on its way to my place so I dont know if it is a 1.3 or 1.4
But i need to get the above questions cleared as I have my xams running and can only giv 1hour fr the unlocking stuff. So just want to clear all the doubts before the phone arrives.
Thanks a lot guyz !!!
*BUMP* Please Help me ASAP Guyz....
That's because when you flash MAGLDR/custom roms, you do it on your own and accept the risks.
And yes, you might not be able to restore. In theory, you should be able to restore after flashing back a stock ROM, but I for one haven't tested/verified that.
Remember, all these are on your own risk

No it won't.SIM unlocks are not written on the rom or firmware. So it can't be erased by flashing.

I have to redirect that to my sig:
"Before asking questions, please read the Samsung Focus wiki and search the forums!"
Quote from the wiki:
Formatting, Flashing, upgrading, downgrading OS and firwmare doesn't affect Network lock (SIM lock).
Locks are in NVRAM - you do not overwrite this section by flashing firmware or formatting.
If the device is already SIM unlocked, flashing/updating/downgrading/formatting/etc the ROM will keep the phone unlocked.
Thanx a lot for all the help will flash tango tnite
Hoping not to brick my newly acquired device
Installed MAGLDR
Installed CleanROM !!
Profit!!
Hi all!
First of all, I'm sorry, but my English is not the best...
I need VNS-L21C02B114 (vodafone) FULL system... Unfortunately, no matter where I looked, I could not find anywhere. I have a backup, but many things are not working ... themes, updates etc .... At first I wanted to close the bootloader, but it failed ... so I downloaded a system (can not remember which one) installed in the folder dload, who locked the bootloader, but the build number has changed from C02Bxxx to C900Bxxx. Since then I install anything, the build C900Bxxx and not C02Bxxx
I want to return to the factory C02B114 system, because I need the guarantee. Can somebody help me with this? Then, I'll wait for the official update ...
C02B114 needed
I have exactly the same problem. Can someone provide a link to firmware - uk Vodafone single sim L31. Ref C02B114.
Many thanks

Hi, i have a problem and i need a little help!
My sister gave me this Huawei p9 lite VNS-L21C02B346.
From what i can understand the code means that this model is for Greece (c02 is for Vodafone Europe). I think that's ok because when it turns on i can see a Vodafone logo!!
So i am in B346 version, and with a little search i did i see some b393 versions for example but i see that this versions is for Europe (c432).
So i would like to know if i can install this version in my phone. I try to download these versions from 2 different sites and make a dload folder in my sd card with UPDATE.APP file in it and try to update and from dialer and from reboot with holding volume up and down key. But with these two methods when the update starts it fails in 5% and the only choice is to reboot the phone......
I am doing something wrong or is something else i am missing ....
Thanks a lot

Hello,
you've been much lucky you haven't bricked your device this way...
I suggest you to keep phone as is because rebrand needs some complicated procedures.
In any case i can tell you how to proceed, here you are...
1 - you need to unlock bootloader. ( can use DC-UNLOCKER to grab your code )
2 - flash a custom recovery for android 7. ( EliteTWRP 3.1.1-1 shoul do the work )
3 - Find and download L21C432oeminfo for dual sim + VNS-L21C432B504 FULL OTA MF ( three (3) files ) ( you can use Firmware Finder ).
4 - Use REBRAND following THIS GUIDE.
5 - Don't forget to thank developers who created those guides.
6- Enjoy.
Best regards
P.S.: Make all opportune backups because some of those procedures will factory reset your device. :fingers-crossed:
P.S.2: If something goes wrong do not point your finger at me, you do at your own risk...
Thanks for the answer first of all!
No in any way i am never going to point you for anything! I know the risks, my old phone i have been really hard with it by changing roms every week!!! Never broke!!
this is a new phone and i don't know it yet!
Well the most important reason i would like to update is for security reasons (newer version), i don't really have a problem with the phone as it is.... (if you exclude the sickness for changing roms and play with phone!!!) but i think Vodafone in Greece will never give an other update for that phone.
So to get it right, for any rom change (stock or custom) we have to unlock bootloader is that right?
Thanks again for your time

Hey greecian friend, yes it's right, and rebrand will help keep security updates.
You should have not problem doing the work, only pay attention when flash oeminfo file.
Feel free to ask.
See you
P.S.: You wrote you wanted to install B393... well it is for single sim model. ( if i'm not wrong you are dual sim B346;
firmware that ends with 'even' numbers = dual sim; ends with 'odd' numbers = single sim )
Well thanks again!
For start i think i have a problem for start! If i understand right from all i have read, huawei stop giving codes for unlock the bootloader, so first step problem i think! And i didn't understand if it is safe (works 100%) to get a code from HCU Software and pay!)
I saw you have aosp 8.1, everything working in this ROM?

Worst thing may happen is throw away 4 €, no one can assure you 100% will work.
I know you can use that money for better personal stuff, choise remains yours.
Till a couple of months this method worked, read THIS thread, member ba_baracuss done a rebrand
like you starting from C02 vodafone firmware to C432 EU unbranded one.
Read AOSP 8.1 thread too, atleast last 10 posts, you'll find a member that came from Greece just like you.
See you man
P.S.: Oreo rom have some little bugs, but with some twicks became usable for daily driver.

Hi...
hmmm aha that should be a question...here in germany the questions have a complete different layout^^
but i will try to help you based on the massive and extensive information you give in your so called "question"
first...i think its the best you remove the malware from the Device
second...if you need to flash then flash 24/7 if you want
I guess that should answer your question correctly!!!
So...and for the next Question here are some notes for you.
so first you should inform us about which cell phone you have at all. Because there are different versions of the p10 lite. Is it single sim or dual sim? Does it have 3Gb or 4Gb RAM? Which firmware was installed last? If you know the country code ... as an example C432 for Europe or C02 for Vodafone brand. Can the cell phone still be started? What have you already tried to fix the problem yourself? What would be important for some devices (Huawei too) ... is the status of the bootloader lock / unlock and whether OEM (FRP) is lock / unlock? So this is information with which you can start something or which is needed to first get an idea of the situation. Without information ... no solution

Hi...
hmmm aha that should be a question...here in germany the questions have a complete different layout^^
but i will try to help you based on the massive and extensive information you give in your so called "question"
first...i think its the best you remove the malware from the Device
second...if you need to flash then flash 24/7 if you want
Without information ... no solution

Nice said,sry its my fault.
The phone is Huawei p10 lite (WAS-LX1A),single sim.
It has 4 GB RAM.
The build number is WAS-LX1A 8.0.0.394(C432) and i've never touched the bootloader.
Since i done factory reset can't enable the ''OEM unlock''.
I think i was hacked while i were on public wifi.
Someone just control my phone, some of settings just changed, battery drained more than usual, also i got security alerts from Google that my somebody logged in my account from Windows (i use linux machine only).
I forgot to mention than the virus just remain after factory reset.
What you can suggest me to do guys ?
Please,guys someone help me.
