Hey, I'm on an S5 and I flashed (to upgrade my phone) my system and forgot to put Android back on my SD (to reinstall it) I then put it on and tried to restart because safestrap wasn't refreshing my files on my SD and essentially screwed up my phone. When I turn it on it just shows the booting screen and doesn't let me go anywhere else. When I try to go into download mode it doesn't let me, please help! (I already went to the Verizon store, they said they couldn't help)
I would first get out a SD card adapter to pc then put in my computer when it recognizes it
I would download official android lollipop such as bok3 from sammobile and then place it on said SD card
then eject SD and place it back in my phone
First try turning off your phone and boot into download mode you may have to try at least 5-10 times if it is only booting into recovery mode
if you have a custom recovery still boot into it either TWRP or safestrap etc then install the firmware
connect phone to computer and install s5 verizon drivers from Samsung website this might fix part of your issue
You could boot your phone into maintenance mode when your phone gets stuck during boot push volume down choose from the list to do a factory reset and you could try safe mode also
If no download mode connect to computer via USB and install verizon software assistant on your pc and try to do repair phone

Hi,
yesterday I got d802 phone to fix it. First the phone was stuck at LG screen with certification error which I fixed. Phone was recognized by PC and i installed twrp on phone. I tried everything (i guess) and now phone is stuck at LG screen and it doesnt move. Now i cannot go back to twrp recovery but i can get to download mode but phone isn't recognized by pc so i cannot flash kdz file to phone. I'm really stuck at this point. Is this real hard brick or is there any way to fix it? Any ideas what should i do or something i can try?
I tried to plug phone in other computers and it's the same thing. My laptop recognized that something is plugged in once but it didn't know what was it so by now. Somehow from time to time phone doesn't go to download mode but it goes in hardware key control mode.
Hope someone can help...
So far i manged to get to recovery mode but adb sideload isn't working. I tried to wipe everything and that didn't help. As we speak factory reset is in progress but I think it's stuck on formatting cache. I hope I'll be able to get the phone recognized in download mode. Any suggestions are appreciated
I have made some progress. ADB is working now and i pushed cyanogenmod and on installation it says that it cannot mount data and cache. I think that main problem is that phone isn't rooted and now I'm trying to root phone via adb. If someone knows anyway to do this that would be great
Hi,
I'm opening a thread because I just couldn't find any way to unbrick my device. In the past I used the FlashTool2014 to go back to the stock LP KDZ for my device.
I was in the stock rom when I decided to mess with the build.prop and then went back to the stock backup. When I restarted the phone it showed the LG logo, screen went black and never booted android. I could access the stock recovery but the Factory Reset won't work.
Then I decided to go to download mode, it connects and the PC detects it as an MTP device. I open the FlashTool2014 and it detects the device OK. When the LGUserCSTool opens it says the Upgrade stopped due to an error and the device stays on 0% and shows USER B70 in the console. I can press Retry, turn off the phone and reconnect in Download mode but the LGCSTool just wont push the firmware.
I suspected I had a driver issue so I tried using a clean win8 install I have for this purposes without success. I cant flash with the TOT method since the other LG Flash Tool wont detect the device in download mode when connected to the pc. This is really weird.
Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Solved with another tot file (almost lost all hope), took me 20+ hours to download it, I'll better make a backup of this files on the cloud. Still having problems with STOCK firmwares but could install TWRP and get CM13 which doesn't give any problems.

Download mode, but cant dl anything from pc to phone now even using odin.
Phone just stuck in boot loop.
Got as far as loading twrp onto it via odin and then when tried search for file just blank folders, nothing in them.
So worried totally bricked it. everyone says get into safe mode, but when try to all it goes to is twrp.
HELPPP!!!!
If you can get into TWRP and aree able to do a complete wipe. It will return your OS to factory settings and fix the boot loop. Other wise try the emergency recovery on Smart switch.
You will need your model information as well as the phone serial number.
Oh,
even phone storage showing "0" in twrp and try wipe just fails.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
TWRP, tried wipe and few other options on twrp and all says failed.(as does odin now)
The weird thing is was all going fine till went to look for the zip files put onto phone before loading twrp which video said too, but when went to folder that SHOULD show all phones system/pic/video forlders and the 2 zip files I put on phone, it is all gone, folder and all folders showing empty. even internal memory showing as empty.
Magisk-v13 rooting instructions video was what I used.
Have just dl smart switch.
All this because fast charge wasn't working and battery drain fast. Guess thats why seller never sent me the quick charger kit and usb and just a wireless charger with old 0.7mah old samsung charger. 6-7H to charge.
Got another fastcharger but didnt work with the phone.
Just reading about smartswitch and seems can only use if can run from my s7 edge phone. but cant get back into phone.??
Dl it to pc and just tried to run it and yep, saying
app failed to start because its side by side config is incorrect???? Please see app event log to use the command line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail.
Sorry,
Now just more confused
Right,
Out of desperation I found a file, which to a useless tech head like me seemed to ring a bell being a md5 file and can with my odin download, so loaded it up and after 4 tries of
to catch the bootloop with pressing start and holding down and releasing the buttons on phone while starting odin with the file it worked and dl file onto phone, phone restarted after few minutes and then worried for a minute when just flashed the samsung logo, but RESULT. Loaded up, only to ask for pass code, put mine in and said wrong so tried the trick to get into bottloader system reset screen and reset to factory setting AND ALL Good again, just fresh start again.
So for anyone and future info/help the file that saved my AR*E was
cf-auto-root-hero2lte-hero2lte-smg935f.tar
So if need do a search guys or if ok can post a link to one on here if OK ?

Updating for future reference/help anyone gets same issue with smartswitch(windows 10)
Google came up with answer,
needed to dl and run.
2008 Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package(x86)
This fixed the smartswitch exe file not starting issue.
Im an Idiot. I went to twrp recovery and wiped everything, since I wanted to install a higher version of the Samsung tab e, and even when twrp told me that there was no OS installed, I rebooted anyways. I was new to this all thing, and had no idea what exactly that meant and thought, 'What could go wrong?' . . . I just wanted a higher device model, man.
Ugh. Now im stuck in the 'Powered by Android' logo screen, and cant boot into recovery or Download mode.
- What's even worse was that I didn't even enable USB Debugging so Adb is out.
- However, it is Rooted, if that even helps.
- Trying to use the Samsung 300k tool to force enter download mode ends up with 'Write file function failed (error 995)'
- My sibling has the same device model as me, but using T Flash via Odin and my 32GB micro SD card doesn't have a reaction to my device. (Or maybe im doing it wrong, since I don't see anything in the sd card when I plug it to the computer)
- Tablet gets recognized via Odin and Computer, but only as 'MTP USB Device', and in Devices, it is in Unspecified as 'Samsung Android'
- Only good thing that came out of this was the info that I had obtained over the past few days that has shocked my siblings as to why I have this much knowledge over Samsung devices and its functions (AKA I feel cool)
But honestly, at this point I am at a loss of what to do, and will not be surprised if I have to get a USB jig to force it to download mode (my only other option left), or take it to a service center to get it fixed. (the other option I have)
But if there is something you guys are aware of, that I had not tried yet, Please guide me.
Anybody?

The simplest way to get an operating system again is to put the ZIP file on a working MicroSD card and put it in your tablet, Then boot into the boot loader and choose to install the file by choosing the external micro sd card.
If you're stuck on a boot screen or download, get out of it by holding the power key + volume down, until the tablet resets.
Note for the future:
always backup your device to an external MicroSD card before deleting your existing operating system, or installing a new one.
Good evening! I hope you can help me.
I flashed LineageOS 14.1, but I wanted to go back to EMUI. I made all the wipes and tried to flash different stock firmwares through a forced update (volume buttons + power button), but it never worked. At that point, I read about a guy in this forum who suggested to create a flashable zip with Huawei Update Extractor: I followed the suggestion and tried to flash it with TWRP. No error was given, but when I tried to restart, TWRP told me I had no OS installed. I thought it was strange, so I tried to restart anyway. That's when I got in rescue mode. I can't get into the recovery and I can't use fastboot. What rescue mode shows me is:
RESCUE MODE
Attention!
Please update system again
Update User Guide:
*link*
*android avatar*
Error!
Func NO: 10 (boot image)
Error NO: 2 (load failed!)
Pressing the three buttons, I'm able to force an update. The problem is I can't find a firmware that doesn't get rejected. With Lollipop firmwares, it starts to install, but it fails at 12%. With Marshmallow ones, the installation process doesn't even start.
What can I do to make it work again? I'm very sad because this phone was gifted to me a couple of days ago and I already messed it up. I don't even know how to turn it off.
What can I do to get in fastboot mode? At that point, what should I do to flash the stock firmware? Or maybe do I need to find the first stock firmware ever installed into this phone to make the forced update work?
Please, I need help. Thank you in advance!
P.S. The phone's model is ALE-L21. I live in Italy, so I assume it's a European version.
Did you managed to fix this?

Not yet, but I'm working on it. I found out that the device is recognized by my PC if I follow these steps:
1. Connect the phone to the PC and wait for it to go in rescue mode;
2. Wait until the notification LED stops to blink;
3. Disconnect the USB cable;
4. Press volume - and power button;
5. Reconnect the cable.
At that point, the screen turns black and the phone is recognized as "㌲㔴㜶㤸". I installed the drivers and now it's recognized as "HUAWEI USB COM 1.0". I should be able to reflash the partitions and make my phone work again, but I'm still trying to understand how to do it correctly.
Any help is appreciated!

fastboot detects your device when you plug it into your computer?
I mean, if you run "fastboot devices" it shows your phone?
I've had this same problem but with an P8 Lite 2017, after flashing some ROM that supposedly was the stock one and trying to flash recovery I ended up with my phone bootlooping into rescue mode, I was able to "bypass" this thing rebooting my phone like crazy, seriously like after 20 reboot it finally booted into the damn ROM and I never touched the phone again. Sometimes when the phone ran out of battery and tried to power it on the phone booted into rescue mode and again after some reboots it booted to Android but now I want to install a custom ROM or at the very least root this damn phone so that's why I'm asking you if you have solved this, if you do then probably if I follow the same steps I would be able to fix that screen, hopefully.
If you are able to flash something start with flashing all recoveries your update.app has, maybe that's the problem (at least in my phone it is).

No, it doesn't show anything if I write that command...
I guess mine won't ever boot into the rom because it seems like there's no system installed. I made some researches and found out there are some softwares that let you reflash the partitions IF the phone is recognized as "HUAWEI USB COM 1.0". I'm still trying to figure out how to do it correctly though. I feel like if I do something wrong, then my phone won't probably turn on again.
In your case, you should be able to flash a custom rom without any issue. You just have to be very careful and inform you as much as you can: I don't want your phone to end up like mine?. Anyway, it seems pretty hard to go back to the stock rom, so think about it before you flash a custom rom. Also, make a Nandroid Backup is very important.
