We can still flash using Flashfire. It's just kinda risky because if it doesn't boot properly then you need a computer to restore.
And might I add that if anyone here doesn't know ADB or basic root troubleshooting such as pulling a logcat then you really shouldn't be so quick to want to test.
You will probably be doing more harm than good for both yourself and for the developer. He's expecting bugs. As a "tester" it'll be your job to find and report them. Not to complain about stability, make suggestions or demand ETA's.

Somewhat, we have over 300 signers but asus sent it to there HQ and never got back to me. It has been chugging along, all we can hope for is that more people find this and continue.
I hope asus will unlock the ME572C as well...

That would be the CX model, it has really low quality cameras. I personally own this one.

I was wondering, is there a version of Jellybean available anywhere for this device? I tried to update with an older firmware (renamed the zip file to a 'newer' version to try fool the system) but the tablet wouldn't allow me to - it said it only allows updates & not downgrades.. Dammit!

After using sqlite to make the hotspot icon to show, it showed but still not working
I even think I've damaged my wifi during the process of making the hotspot to work coz I can't browse when connected to wifi

You could flash a custom ROM that already has it enabled... like Wicked X. I'm not sure why it wouldn't be there on stock.

As the title of the thread states Iam working on a DEBRANDED Verizon rom(based off BOK3). The last piece of the puzzle is the Verizon text and model # in the hotspot/tethering activation menu (Editing the ssid within doesn't stick after wipe/reboot so that's of no use for this project.) as seen here...

Well here's the things I've done.
Removed all CSC related files
Tried different combinations of device/product names in the build.prop.
In settings edited some WiFi ap bool files.
The SSID used to be changed via the WiFi supplicant conf on 4.4.X but not so on 5.X.X forward. You can change it it in the settings itself but it doesn't survive wipe/reboot.
So if anyone has an actual idea it'd be appreciated.
