Greetings xda mambers (and not),
I will try to keep it brief and clean.
I have a Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935F) from Germany.
1. I managed to install TWRP and SupermanROM and it worked well.
2. Then I must have messed with "OEM unlock" and "USB debugging" and restarted the phone only to get a message "Custom binary blocked by FRP lock"
3. Attempt to use KIES and Smart Switch = your firmware\device isn't supported or something.
4. Now I'm trying to figure out which Firmware is right for me in order to flash it, with ODIN.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G935F/DBT/
How and which one do I choose?
Kindly thank you for taking a look.
Basically,
"how do I choose the correct firmware for my device?"
With what in mind? Serial number? imei?

Hey, thanks for replying.
But why? What's the criteria? There are 2 at 22/7 and 15/7.
Edit: *Actually 7 options for 6.0.1

For me there is only one. If there's two for you it can't hurt to choose one and try it.

By latest I meant the one with the latest date, because that would be most up to date. I thought when you said there were two, that there were two firmwares with the same date for each date. If the one you chose doesn't flash, take the latest.
My FRP method this:
Phone G935A, used Firmware G935U (not AT&T bloatware)
Insert prepaid sim 0$, and 0mb internet, but LTE network...
Personalise phone start, and wifi not turn on. Google verification fail, and NEXT button active...
Personalise finish, and turn dev.opt on, oem unlock on, and add the google account.

Hello. I'm kinda stuck here and I would appreciate if you all could help me. I've been trying to retrieve the same firmware I have for my Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935FD) but I am unable to. Here is an album of pictures filled with errors I got and my device information.
The Phone Info application says that my device is SM-G935F while Android says it's SM-G935FD so I'm not really sure which one I should use. I've tried both SM-G935F and SM-G935FD and the results were similar. For Auto (SM-G935F), I got this error message:
'', hexadecimal value 0x1F, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 1.
while for Manual (SM-G935F), I got the same error message as SM-G935FD Manual mode.
Again thanks for the help. Feel free to ask me any questions.

Samsung doesn't upload full firmware for G935FD on their server so you can't download them using this tool.
You can find apd1 firmware for FD on samsungviet. It's for THL but it's same multi-csc for SIN

Thanks for pointing that out. It works now. However the "Version" info is different than the PDA, CSC and Phone info I've put in. It's G935FXXU1APDQ/G935FOLB1APD1/G935FXXU1APD1/G935FXXU1APDQ. Not a 100% sure but I think that's a different firmware.

It's much better to just wait. At least then you know it's a legit firmware and you won't be bricking your device :good:
Hi guys, im from Argentina, i tried to root my S7 edge SM-G935F made in vietnam using CF-Auto-Root with Odin following a tutorial in youtube (big mistake), when i finished, the Wifi icon turned grey like it was disabled. I cant turn it on (obviously cant find any Wifi networks because its off).
I tried doing a hard reset but the problem continues. The phone was working perfect. I downloaded root checker after trying to root but says "Root access is not properly installed on this device" , so totally fail :good:
What should i do? What ROM can i flash? and how? Here is my actual software:
Android version: 7.0
Baseband version: G935FXXU1DQB1
Kernel version: 3.18.14-10422490
Build number: NRD90M.G935FXXU1DQB7
Thanks

yes, but try to flash the one for your country as the csc has the codes need to have your phone working optimally with your provider.
Other countries will work but not 100 %

Backup your data, Download the latest INS (India) firmware for your device. Insert the Jio sim in slot 1 and flash the firmware through Odin. Use the regular CSC and not the Home_CSC as we need to factory reset the device. Post that you should have the INS CSC.

Search for the Oreo Odin update on Google that was released for India a week back but it is no longer available as Sam took it down. Otherwise, flash the last Nougat version. Yes, you'll loose root, twrp etc as the phone would return to the stock condition. I could have recommended flashing files through twrp, but I believe, your active CSC is messed up so a clean flash is highly recommended.

You're doing something wrong. The active CSC can't be BTU if you followed the steps correctly. Till the time, you don't completely wipe the device, it would never fall back to the correct CSC. Additionally, you need to have an Indian sim in Slot 1 before you do the process as system dynamically allocates the CSC based on the sim in slot 1.

Can you kindly elaborate what you mean by completely wipe the device. since I am using ODiN to flash the firmware, option of complete wipe doesn't arise right.? As it puts the device to stock. The firmware from Sammobile cannot be using as TWRP flash. Also I am using JIo sim in first sim slot. Am I missing any steps..... Thanks for tIme.

In the firmware pckg, there are 2 CSC files, one is the regular CSC that completely (System,Data,Internal Storage) wipes the device and the other one is Home_CSC that wipes all except the Internal Storage. You need to use the regular CSC.
Else, right now go into Settings >> Reset and do a Factory Reset.

I downloaded from sammobile the files that i needed for the device, the model G935F.
I tried flashing it with odin (latest version). It failed at recovery.img (after flashing it and boot.img).
The phone doesn't reboot to the system. It only shows error mode and to use the smart switch emergency, but it says that the device is not supported.
Any help? Thank you
Which country you bought it from ? Was your phone network locked ? Use odin 3.13.1, also tell which firmware you flashed ..

Its asking for the previous account that was logged on before it bricked. If you are the owner put your account details and if its someone else like your customer or friend, ask them for the details of previously logged in account.. that frp lock is there for security and xda won't allow to discuss solution here. You should search yourself now for a solution .. Good Luck !
