Sorry guys but I have an urgent problem , a friend of mine gave me his galaxy s4 to "fix" , in fact the phone , gave continuous " process system is not responding" , did not play either audio nor video files, the application camera crashed , all Buyer's slow to open up and hangs around the phone , even the screen locker of the time when I drag your finger over it takes a while to unlock. Above all, the worst thing is that the audio in both capsule and a speaker system is not heard. If perhaps they call on the phone can not answer you the black screen and before leaving the screen with the green ring to answer spend quite a lot of minutes. Practically can only be used for surfing the internet , facebook etc. . The firmware is the MHB . I went to download mode and saw that the counter is 0x1 KNOX , of this I realized , however, only when I installed the firmware MGG vodafone via odin because I thought it might be a problem of the system that was in forced shutdown but not so unfortunately. Now even though I know I will load the MHB reinstall it again . He reported the problem three times to the store where she bought it but have always said that the phone was fine, but trust me it is not at all like that . To my friend, I asked him if maybe he did root on the phone earlier but I said no , also because it is denied , he still does not know is because it came out that 0x1 next to the counter KNOX , some will have been his friend but did not even know . You have an idea about it? that problem can be and above all ? If it is a hardware problem I'll have to send for repair or strength I can fix by just replacing the piece in question ? But the most important question is: " If you were to send him to pay support ? When how much? "
Sorry for my english, but I do not know the language so I used google translator

Why u dont Flash the kitkat Rom? this is no Problem, and very fast done. i think then your brightness issue is gone.
I have almost exactly the same problem with my LG G2, but the brightness goes up until about 52%.
The problem started when I let someone replace the screen on my phone after shattering the old one. It's possible they installed a lower quality screen or one that is not fully compatible with my model (D802). I found on the internet that american version screens are cheaper so maybe they used one of those and the mismatch causes issues. Just a guess...
I opened up the phone and checked the screen connectors but it didn't help. If it's a hardware related problem (probably), it's not an easy to fix one.
Changing roms never helped for me.
Afaic it's not a terrible problem because I wouldn't put the screen much above 50% anyway for battery preservation reasons.

Hi All, i purshaced a lg g2 (d802) with software version of (D80220c-466-92) from UAE and all fine except the headphones the device cant detect it at all (i tried alot of types of headphones and the problem is the same just hearing some noise or hissing in the left headphone) + battery drain so so fast (max 4 -5 hours of moderate use ) + the knock on feature doesnt work at all .........after all of that i decided to ship it back to UAE to warranaty but when i was reboxing it i tried to turn it on with the headphones already plugged in as a last hopeless try and IT WORKED ....the phone became fully operational with the knock on working great + no battery drainage + superb headphones BUT after 10-15 minutes the problem come back ......i tried the same move to actually shut down the phone and turn it on with the headphones attached again and it worked again and the same happen again and so on.....
SO what do u think guys is it a software problem or what ????
also if its a software problem can i fix it here in my country by myself or at the local LG center or must i pay tons of money to reship it to UAE ?
one last thing , the device is kitkat out of the box ....is this normal ????
thx in advance
If I were you I would just ship it back there is no way to know get a new one so you know its not a hardware problem or software problem because it won't exist
sent from my T-Mobile LG-VS980

Guys, i have screen flickering issue on my LG G2 (D802).
I was on Google Edition 1.3 Rom, listening music with charging... Now i flashed Coudy 3.3 and same but decreased.
And screen flickering suddenly.
But not flickering in TWRP.
Please help me. I don't have warranty.
I was in Samsung Mobile Techincal Service for internship. I never see look like this problem.
I have three idea.
1- Modem-Bootloader problem -> Go Stock with CSE
2- Screen flex cable problems.
3- Or charging unit card problems.. (but i said no flickering in TWRP)
I searched on internet. Everyone says screen replacement didn't work.
Some people say , i close phone for a while 1 weeks. After phone works fine with 5-6 months..
Video is here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q49Yf7inuiw
Thanks for all posts.
up
hardware problem , you have to return it for service. i had same problem on my lg g2
i went to lg service and they changed some filters on motherboard ( filter,EMI/Power 2 quantity i read on the repair paper.) i was on warranty..
Had this issue too. It was a hardware problem and going to stock didn't help. I was lucky the phone was still under warranty.
Hello XDA Members,
I have Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 ( Unrooted 6GB) bought 3 - 4 months ago ,
i was using it yesterday afternoon , after couple of hours i thought to Put phone on charge it was 36% , But when i pickup my phone it was restarting . i was confused , when booted up after 2 mins use then restarted again , i noticed little bit lag becasue i was googling the possible reason of unexpected Reboot.
then it kept restarting after every 4 to 5 mins of use , i thought its the button so i open the case but everything looked fine . then it started to reboot right after bootup , i thought its a virus , i was able to wipe data and reset 2 times , but still same rebooting issue , now i carefully checked my phone buttons , everything like new , and i take care of my phone very well . I AM VERY SURE BUTTONS ARE FINE , but phone is behaving like power button is being pressed whole time .
things got worse i woke up midnight i looked at my phone still stuck on restart continuously, and next reboot it booted up for couple of secs and showed me pattren lock but called emergency number ( Emergency Call Button Under Pattren) , i was not able to cut the call but i keep trying then again re boot , i didnt sleep because of this phone vibrating rebooting and sometimes calling EMERGENCY service even when i removed sim and SD card , i can't remove battery so i let it keep rebooting, now battery died .
guys i am sorry for this long description but i am in big problem and stress . i am youtube lover and some social media , games like pubg sometimes . my phones is rebooting even if i go Boot Menu , after many tries i was able to reset once , but same issue ,
Please help me , waiting for replies i am online , any more questions please ask i will try to reply as soon as possible , i dont know rooting or custom roms . i never did , Please Guide me to go threw this mess . I SHALL BE VERY THANKFUL FOR THIS .

Goto Service center
Sounds like power button contacts have shorted out somehow, though very less likely. Better go to a service centre instead of wrecking your brain over something which you probably can't fix.
ok but

ok but , i ordered this phone from India , i have the bill #flipkart . i ordered online and asked my friend to bring it , I live abroad .
i will have to send it back to India . but my friend buttons ? do you think there can be any other reason as well . Like virus which effects ROM stored in memory so even when we factory reset , problem stays same. BOOTMENU as well all phone is doing rebooting again and again till it rains all battery .
can you think of any other posibility , before i send it back India ,. ? its like burden .

I'm not too sure about what exactly had happened to your phone. I can't say much if I don't see it myself. This is a very uncommon and peculiar problem because modern phones are less vulnerable to viruses. So it might just be a fault unit which you have received.

Ok i will plan to send it back to India . I bought this phone from Indian Website because this model wasn't available here in Canada.
When my friend ordered it . He told me about 99 RS extra for some kind of protection . I said pay that as well . I have the original bill . My friend have copy of that ask well.
Any idea where it will get repaired ? I mean send it back to FLipkart ? Or Asus customer service ?

try to get a replacement. Since you said you bought this phone 4 months ago you might not be able to exchange it. Other option is getting it fixed at an asus service centre and they may do it for free because it's still under warranty.
