I saw a bunch of users having trouble with their ZTE Blade A452 and now I'm running into issues as well. None of the thread have even a single reply. I would greatly appreciate it if someone who knows this android stuff could come down and help us A452 peasants.
So specifically I rooted my A452 using King Root which worked. Then I wanted to install Xposed for all the juicy extra features. All the guides told me that I need a custom recovery. I've searched for TeamWin Recovery Project and CWM Recovery Mod releases for my phone and found none.
Actually I found one for the ZTE Blade Apex2 so I unlocked my bootloader and fastboot flashed the recovery. RIP.
Now I'm trying to find the stock recovery of the ZTE Blade A452. There's a few thread with a similar issue and one thread claiming that it contains all necessary stock files. What I found are a bunch of zip files labeled Gen1 Gen2 and Gen3 and there's also supposedly a tool called Mr. PigFish (or something like that) which does not exist but is required to identify which "gen" I have. Anyways, I've tried flashing all three Gens and then some from other websites but all of the seem to belong to a different "ZTE Blade" phone as my A452 keeps being stuck in a boot loop.
Unfortunately the websites of ZTE are absolutely useless as I wasn't even able to find the A452 on there. So here I am, along with a bunch of other people, trying to find the original ROMs and recovery images (specifically recovery, the ROM is still fine).
Please if someone knowledgable could give us instructions on where to get the stock images for the ZTE Blade A452 that would be very much appreciated. Unfortunately my A452 is completely unable to boot, neither normal nor recovery and only fastboot mode is left for me to work with so I have to find the stock recovery somewhere.
Thank you very much,
Gachl
edit: so far I've looked at maybe compiling TWRP for the A452 myself but it's way too technical. I've called multiple different numbers from ZTE trying to reach some sort of support who can maybe send me the factory recovery.img but only ended up with an email address that I enquired for the same. here's hoping but if someone else owns this phone then quickly dding the recovery partition would be a really big help.
edit2: so I found a polish (?) thread that I can't read but it says [ZTE BLADE A452] and [Solved] in the thread and has a link to this file https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Byu2LP_DS8CoZ2Njc1MyWHZLOWs which is a zip containing the original ZTE Blade A452 recovery.img ready to be flashed. I've tried it and hoorah it works! Unbricked! Thanks Arachiozaur over at http://forum.android.com.pl/topic/277838-zte-blade-a452-uceglony-solved/ a true hero!
Now I just have to figure out how the hell I can possibly get Xposed to run on this thing without using a custom recovery.
do you still have the recovery.img? It's down on GDrive and I killed my A452 as well...
link is down? (also on the polish site).
Please tell me you still have it :silly:
i have a boot img but i cant upload or link it here because this is my first post or i have lower then 10 - just send me a mail or pm kontakt[at]lokke.de
i am currently trying to boot a recovery by fastboot but "fastboot boot recovery.img" doesnt work for me
EDIT: look what i've found:
ztemobile.de/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Software%20Update%20ZTE%20Blade%20A452.zip
this is what i did "dd" out of the recovery partition before flashing TWRP.
i am an absolute noob so just use it if you have nothing to lose.
I created the file but i can't tell you if it is working too.
if you are just looking for any recovery try to use TWRP linked in my last post.
this is working (for me?)

Hello Guys, i know there has been a lot of threads about this problem but mine one is different
My phone was running FF OS 1.2 Beta(Official builds by ZTE). And i flashed recovery from this file cause i wanted to install cwm on my phone. After that i flashed GB package for bricked phones to be able to flash Update-Signed.zip. It went successful but phone kept restarting. I wasn't able to install V1.0 from 1.2 recovery so that's why i decided to flash this recovery
Now the problem is i can't flash any ROM(Verification errors)
Tried the following:-
*GB update for bricked devices
*Update-Signed.zip(for bicked phones)
*V1.1(for 1.0)
*V1.1(for 1.1)from ZTE Site
Now what can i do?
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I'm stuck here for 3 days
Ok I'm going to tell everything I did,,
My Gionee E7 is indian version.
First I rooted my phone with kingo Root.
Than I flashed CWM chinese version.
I upgraded my system to kitkat and changed the recovery to stock.
I used it for a week than some how my music player and gallery were corrupted.
I don't have any rom so I download one but it was in chinese, flashed it to my gionee. than after rooting,,
I flashed the CWM, same I flashed weeks ago
Here my problem started :crying:
The CWM is not starting. I used recoery tool to boot into recovery after boot up it shows black screen. I used every method holding Vol+ and power button but the same result.
than I tired to get back to my stock recovery but it does the same.
flashed many times both recoveries but didn't worked.
I searched a lot and find a TWRP. I flashed it and wow it worked Finally I can boot into recoery mode.
Now I find the Nandroid backup of indian version. I made it a zip and flashed it through twrp.
My phone is back to indian version but its slow, not too much but its slow; camera, gallery and other apps take some time to open. I can't make or rcv phone calls. Now what i did is download the update form System update.
Now i got kitkat rom.zip but twrp failed to install it.
Some one on the internet was saying that its the problem with my Kernel. I have the latest kernel so CWM won't work cuz it uses old kernel and display drivers.
My
android version is 4.2.2
Kernel version is 3.4.0-svn2155
I also got TWRP for lolipop,
and I patched binary_update in my kitkat rom too but TWRP can't flash it
Thats my whooooolllleeeee story. "
I got stuck with this for almost 3 days now I'm damn tired can't do it anymore plz help :crying::crying::crying:

Hello my friend, please help me.
I am trying to flash stock inidan rom 4.2 but.. I installed all CWM for E7 found on the internet and I am getting black screen. I managed to Install TWRP but TWRP cannot flash the rom that I need to flash. I flashed a chinese 4.2 but is piece of garbage..
gngc-download-tool said that the com port is closed.
I have windows 64 is this the problem causing gngc not working?
No its not, it is working on 64bit windows very well.
In TWRP factory reset and format system and data, than install
Chinese 4.2 ROM. After that boot it and try it again.
It should work!

Help
I just rooted my gionee elife e7. Flashed the chinese recovery which seemed to be the only one which would be compatible. But, while changing a few setting using pimp my rom, the software just stopped working. Errors keep showing up on the screen - "system.ui is not working", "android app is not working", I cannot even go the settings because "settings is not working". Third party apps still seem to work, so, whatsap and stuff continue to function. Doing a factory reset or flashing firmware again seem to be the only viable option.
But, when I try to load up the bootloader using the power and volume keys, it gets stuck on the screen showing the gionee logo and it reads 'fastboot mode' in the bottom left hand side corner. So,
a. can you offer any advice which may be useful ?
b. can you share the link from where you got a TWRP recovery which will work on the Elife ?
c. do you have any idea what exactly went wrong here ?
Any help you can provide will be appreciated because, it's my mausi's phone and I will have a very tough time explaining what really went down here.
Regards,
Does anyone have the stock rom for the U.S. Huawei P8 Lite (ALE-L04)? I flashed a recovery for the wrong version of the p8 lite and now my phone will only boot into fastboot mode.
Thanks in advance.
Bump...
Also looking for a stock ROM. Found several on some foreign sites but still can't get it to boot. Accidentally bricked mine.
I have another brand new in the box and can request a bootloader unlock but would need instructions for creating a stock rom.
Also I found there is no available custom recovery for this device only fastboot commands are available for recovering device.
OP have you found anything?

Yep, I'm back up and running. Here is a link to download the stock rom from Huawei's site: http://huaweidevices.ru/5huaweiromo...B124_United_States_Android_4.4.4_EMUI_3.0.zip
If you can't get in to recovery mode, you can use the Huawei Update Extractor Tool (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454) to extract the recovery.img file and flash it with fastboot. Then follow the instructions in section 4.2 of the word document included in the first link to flash everything back to stock.
Hi M3 users,
I'm a long time lurker and reader on XDA. Now it's time to give something back or at least participate
Following my recent M3 purchase a dugg a bit deeper into this topic and tried to get us the stock recovery for our devices.
I'm not really a dev. I just used the information I found here and in the russian forum where greatslon (thank you guy) is posting his work.
If you find an error in the process please let me know. The files have not been tested in any way. I have no idea if this would even work (encryption and so on).
So I managed to extract the recovery.img file from the chinese rom. This method will also work for the LTE variant.
Maybe @greatslon or @somboons can share their view on the topic or maybe @somboons can even use it in his tool.

Don't quite understand what's this for. First of all, recovery should be the same version as your ROM. I don't know if their mismatch will immediately lead to some malfunction, but some people on 4pda said they should match. Second - stock recovery's functions are limited to factory reset (wiping data, cache, etc.) and installing OTA updates. Without changing OEMINFO (and it's still unconfirmed), you won't be able to install any OTA except those, intented for your model and region, so again there's no need to install a higher version of recovery than your ROM is. But anyway, thank you for the extraction instruction.
P.S. I think there's no need to flash both recovery and recovery2. Recovery2 can be successfully replaced with TWRP and this combination is really great, cause you can launch TWRP by holding Volume Up button only.
And the only reason why you should keep recovery original is that it doesn't really wipe /data - it also creates some files there like custom.bin, containing your regional settings.
Hi Slavon,
Thanks for your highly appreciated comment. @somboons was looking for a stock recovery so I thought this might help.
Your given information are really helpful. I did not know that you could flash TWRP in recovery2 and replace erecovery Handy information.
I'm pretty new to the Huawei structure so always glad to learn something.
EDIT
A lot of good information can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7/general/dual-recovery-honor-7-t3308398

Giving Back
Benjamin,
I've also been a long time XDA lurker. Most of the devices I have owned were mainstream and thus already had a very active XDA developer community; Even if root had yet to be achieved, there would be hundreds of messages on the topic.
It seems the Mediapad M3 is just getting started. I am a developer of over 20 years, but very little android experience. However, I have recently spent a considerable amount of time (about 50-100 hours) working with the low level ADB protocol source code. And I have rooted and flashed no less than 50 devices, everything from cell phones to Android TV devices to routers.
I'm going to take this device on as my first real dev effort in this arena.
I have a few goals:
1. Get working backups for people that soft-brick or need to revert (including myself).
2. Recompile TWRP for the M3 to confirm greatslon's work, and better understand the process.
3. Release a stock rom that's pre-rooted and cleaned up (not that there was a lot of bloat on my device).
4. Release a custom rom that's not MIUI (perhaps based of CyanogenMod).
Since I have virtually no experience, I am sure these goals are quite lofty and will take some time. But hey, you got to have a plan, and I don't have anything else to work on right now.
Let me know if you want to work on anything together, or if you need any help with anything development related.

Hey hey 0D0A,
I totally agree with you regarding the backups, I think once the first OTA update is pushed for the EU and US devices we have a good and safe way to go back.
Especially the US owners are struggling with greatslons TWRP version, that's the first thing we should tackle after the backup topic is cleared
I will contact you regarding possible work
Best regards,
Benjamin
can flash twrp via fastboot but get error saying and no recovery
hi, first thanks greatslon for doing the work on m3.
i seem to have succeeded in getting stuck and can't get it to boot into your custom twrp. adb on linux was working fine, but no longer. ditto for fastboot just get "waiting for devices" now. i switched to win10 and installed the hisuite app so i can use fastboot but still no adb. so i have tried to flash recovery and recovery2 but when i try to boot recovery i get error "Func NO: 11 (recovery image) ERROR NO: 2 (load failed)."
i then downloaded your custom rom and tried to flash the boot for that still no luck. i can't use adb so i am not sure how to just flash the custom rom with fastboot without being able to get into any recovery.
i did have this all rooted and working with your twrp but kept having issues with dpi and there was an ota update (b003) which wouldn't apply. so i tried to restore backup and it wen't south from there. basically now can't do much other than see the unlock "can't be trusted" page and bootloader.
any suggestions?
Desperately need stock recovery img, not sure exactly what when wrong, but it is stuck in a horrible boot loop. Tried Benjamin's recovery files and they seem to remove twrp and put it somewhat back to normal, but can only access the emui recovery and that fails to load the files. Put twrp back and tried greatslon's ROMs, they load but goes back to boot loop. Wipe and format everything, install my original backup through twrp recovery, it says it works, but again, back to boot loop... at this point I think I'm dead... any ideas, any word on the official recovery img? anything? Help!!

Hello, I am unlocked, TWRPed, and rooted, but am trying to reverse all of that. My build number is BTV-W09C128B002. Is it safe to download the stock recovery from the OP for my device? Or do I really need the C128 version?
Hello and sorry for the late response, you would need the matching version for your C128 device.
I may be able to extract recovery from an update, I have to look into this tomorrow.

Thanks! I have been able to use the Huawei Extractor to extract a recovery.img from OTA updates, but have been afraid to try flashing it. It has been recommended to hold off on trying that since that recovery.img is from an OTA and not a FULL update. Any thoughts?
Hey!
Do anyone know if there a recovery or TWRP file for the ZTE blade A602?
Hi All. I would also like to know if there is a custom recovery TWRP image for my ZTE Blade A602 running Android 7.0?
Thanks for help Greetings Werner
TWRP is now available for Blade A602!
My friend @Linux4 made TWRP 3.3.1 for ZTE Blade A602! It is pretty stable but it has some bugs:
- MTP, use adb push/pull
- Data Decryption (can't mount)
Important:
- Before you restart to system in first TWRP use, flash the dm-verity ZIP or the System will not boot anymore!
- If you want to root, please use SuperSU, Magisk will softbrick the Device (stucks on Splash and reboots to recovery)
- Do not flash official update.zip in TWRP. Idk why this happens, but the system is a bit corrupted, so use Stock Recovery (TaskSwitcher dead, lags and more)
- Format FRP doesn't work, but we'll make a FRP Bypass-ZIP soon.
If you are interested, i'll make a Debloat ZIP for A602. If you find bugs, please report!
Because this is my first Post, I can't send links, so i'll post the Links to a Telegram Channel (you can still view even you don't have Telegram):

Hello xda-developers,
Thanks for your response. My ZTE Blade A602 2017 for Germany (Android 7.0) is soft-bricked after a bad flash. Currently I have access through sp-flash tool and fastboot commands. Because I had no TWRP recovery on my ZTE Blade A602 I was not able to get a complete backup. So I am also searching for ZTE Blade A602 firmware/stock rom in Mediatek (MTK) SP Flashtool format. Do you have any help therefore. Can you also tell me where to download your mentioned TWRP 3.3.1 custom recovery image?
Thanks for help, Greetings Werner
Hey wlink!
If you have access to your Stock Recovery, flash the stock update.zip. If you have Telegram, I can send you the Link. I'll add Stock ROM Link to the Channel.

You have to enter t.me/s/a602_twrp_dl in your Webbrowser and then download the latest Build from Mega. But do not flash stock Update.zip in TWRP, the system will be corrupted, idk why but I also provide Stock Recovery on Mega Folder!
